6/4 -- 3 glasses. Not a good start to my month, but ever onward!
6/5 -- 8 glasses (thanks to good ol' flavored water)
    6/6 -- 6 glasses
6/7 -- 9 glasses (2 of which were plain water, as I ran out of my flavored water during my bike ride and needed to fill up because I was sooo thirsty).
    6/8 -- 7 glasses
    6/9 -- 4 glasses (I think...forgot to record yesterday).
    6/10 -- 7 glasses
6/11 -- only 3 glasses today. Not active and stayed in the air-conditioning.
    6/12 -- only 4 glasses today
    6/13 -- 6 glasses
    6/14 -- 7 glasses
6/15 -- only 2 glasses today -- not thirsty and didn't have my flavored water to help me.
    6/16 -- 4 glasses
    6/17 -- 2 glasses
    6/18 -- 7 glasses
    6/19 -- 7 glasses again
    6/20 -- 10 glasses
    6/21 -- 9 glasses
6/22 -- 4 glasses (no exercise today so wasn't mindful to push the water that much)
    6/23 -- 4 glasses again
    6/24 -- 4 glasses (hmmm, I see a pattern here)

I think part of setting a goal is finding something that is achievable and meaningful. That is partly why I include some other things in my 8 cups a day.

I'm usually good for 10-12 per day. Water is a bout all I drink now, besides a beer now and again.

Welcome to those continuing the challenge from May and a huge hello to you newbies for May!!

Do you have a hard time drinking your 8 glasses of water each day or even drinking 3 glasses? I do. That's why I've created a "drink more water" challenge. If you're interested, log in here your water amount daily.

Don't worry if you don't like plain water. Crystal Light, lemon and other 0-calorie flavorings are completely allowed. Anything to get you drinking more water.

I would suggest starting out slow and working your way up to 8 glasses. I've pushed water before, and it made me sick. That way your bladder will get used to the slowly increasing water amount.

I need motivation, so let's motivate each other to drink more water and feel healthier!!

If pushing water made you sick, you didn't need the extra water. "Getting sick" in such circumstances is the body telling you something is WRONG. It isn't usually necessary to "push water" in a healthy adult. You'll dring enough naturally. The idea that everybody needs to push themselves to drink lots of water is simply not true.

I'm in I need some help remembering to drink my water during the summer when I have so many other choices around all the time

I can certainly understand this. There are a lot of good choices out there, yet so many BAD ones, too. I now carry a 2 1/2 cup water bottle with me just about every where I go. I will add 0 cal flavoring or energy additive to make it more palatable.

I'm not an all natural all organic type of person, however I do use a Pure Water Filter jug for my water. I have noticed by filtering the water, for some odd reason, I have been drinking more water. Even the kids drink it "more" if I can pry the soda can from their kung fu gripping hands. Of course if I would stop buying the garbage they wouldn't be drinking it. LOL.

Keep in mind healthy kidneys and livers filter and clean the garbage out of our blood streams. Many so called health drinks and 0 cal sodas actually tax the kidneys and liver pretty good. The more they have to work on getting the junk out, the less they can be used in your weight loss program. Here is a link I found regarding more organic forms of keeping them healthy:

I think part of this is to relearn when my body is saying its thirsty and drink water rather than eat something. Another part is recognizing when I have enough. Cutting back on some of the other types of drinks (mostly coffee) has helped me. But I finding I just do not need lots and lots of water.

6/22 -- 4 glasses (no exercise today so wasn't mindful to push the water that much)
    6/23 -- 4 glasses again
    6/24 -- 4 glasses (hmmm, I see a pattern here)
    6/25 -- 5 glasses
    6/26 -- 5 glasses
    6/27 -- 9 glasses

Well done you broke the pattern :drinker:
