Bout time there was a couple of anti-men bashing threads on MFP... Maybe if the man haters spent less time dwelling on their hate, they might open their eyes and mind enough to let the right guy in.. Just saying

And yes, you partner is lucky. Guys like to feel appreciated to!

SO SO TRUE!!! Open minds and open hearts are the way to go

Women are great too. I didn't see any of that in your post :)

This post wasn't about men versus women, so why would there need to be any mention about it? She also didn't state that women weren't great.

And I didn't state that men weren't great. They are, I love my man. But there seems to be an awful lot of praising men for things that, In my opinion, should be expected, and are what women have to do as well. So lets thank the ladies too =). Ie

men who do the right thing when that second line comes up pink (and no that is not always solved with a ring on the finger) or fathers who give up sleep,

They are just as responsible as the woman. Anywayz, I do agree with their clothes are way more comfy and still look good.

Uhm, what man are you talking about....the father of MY child does none of those things....MY own father does...Not all men are great...just like not all women are great...

The father of My child barely changes a diaper....and would rather play video games than deal with the boy...and this man..is 43. Not someone in their twenties...

    Probably HER husband.

People just can't let a nice thing go by without trying to turn it bitter.

    OP..thank you again :).

Caitlin, it's nice to see another sweet post from you.

For those of you complaining, no, not all men do those things, but the ones that do should get credit from time to time. It's all too easy to complain about what's wrong and overlook what's right.

I think the point is, there are heaps of man bashing threads. Sift through the archives, there is always something that a lot of the female members having something bad to say about men. Also a point im going to make, is you dont see very many, if any threads from guys saying my wife/girlfriend is a *****.

Love this topic. I married a great guy who does all that and still lets me control the remote! Now, here's one of the reasons why I'm awesome (at least to him)...I don't drag him to chick flicks (although he would go). I hate chick flicks. I don't need the emotional rollercoaster to know my life is good.

Yep Men are great. Women get chatted up lots and they know they are great. It's time for men to get recognized for being general all around good guys.

    Thanks! I appreciate good men!

OMG does EVERYTHING EVER SAID need to be a completely balanced statement?
Come on. show some self confidence and let somebody else be praised occasionaly.

I love men. :flowerforyou: Especially my special man. But yes, I agree with you that they do suck sometimes.

My husband sucks because he has nice, hard, well-defined arms, and he almost NEVER lifts weights or does pushups. I have been lifting weights and doing pushups 3x week for almost a year. My arms are not nice and well-defined like his. :grumble:

(I will forgive him for this because he will do things like clean the chunks of puke out of the bathtub and kill the wasps and scoop up/bury the dead kitten that got ran over  so I won't have to. )

F'real. I read the other day that the average amount spent on Mother's Day is like twice the average spent on Father's Day. I told myself it's just because men like cheaper stuff.

    Love it!!

(my disclaimer is that I love this as it pertains to all individuals in a committed long-term relationship regardless of sexual preference or gender  )

Um sorry thats a different thread. Please let those of us men who do these things have our 30 seconds of fame. Thanks
