    Hardwood.

I grew up with carpet and it just gets nasty and it's a ***** to clean, especially if you spill something. Hardwood is easy to vacuum and you can mop it.

Hardwood. It just looks so much nicer than carpet and is easier to keep clean.

    Exactly this.

Hardwood. I always wonder what dust/dirt/gross stuff is trapped in carpets. I am clumsy and spill coffee/wine too regularly to own carpet!:blushing:
Plus I like the sleek modern look of darker hardwoods.

Oh but as I finished typing this I realized it was all innuendo... But my answer still stands...except the spilling thing

When I first saw this I was like wait a minute...is this about pubic hair? ie hardwood...a complete wax/shave and carpet...unshaven

Okay, now that my mind is out of the gutter. I actually prefer hardwood on the floors that are most commonly used like the foyer and the kitchen and the hallways.

I prefer carpet in the bedrooms only.

Anybody else have that carpet that just won't go away? I mean I've tried to go to hardwood and you can just never get it out of all the cracks and crevices. Maybe my floors are just more wrinkly than most. I really have to stretch 'em out to even have a shot at getting at the wood underneath.

I'm all about some hardwoods..... I mean who wants all that nasty stuff that gets caught up and settles to the bottom of the carpet?? Yuck!

    I like both actually.

There's something therapeutic about taking your time polishing a clean hardwood surface, over and over again for a really glossy sheen; but I also love the feel and the smell of a lovely clean short haired carpet.

I know hardwood is more fashionable these days, but a variety of textures against my skin is what does it for me

    LMFAO

I had carpet when I was younger, But it was like a shag.. I just LOVE hardwood look.. It's so shiny & pretty

and fresh, clean and inviting... and yet, still somehow maintains a gentle softness...
