Oh and as for the book? It sucked. It was poorly written (again because it was a Twilight rip-off). I only read the first one and was disappointed. The hype that was given was incredible and I was expecting hot, tawdry, nasty, raunchy sex and was disappointed. I was also expecting lots of S&M and dirtiness but again, nope. I think the hype was either made by her fanfiction following or lonely housewives who haven't been laid in years.

The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty is 10x worse than 50 Shades of Grey.

Hmmm.... is it atleast better written? As in not using the same phrases and adjectives multiple times in a row?

Anything HAS to be better written than 50 Shades. Seriously. And you aren't kidding about the same phrases over and over again..."Oh my poor fifty" and I was REALLY tired of hearing about what her "inner goddess" was doing by the end of the first book. I mean seriously...who has an inner goddess that glares and does back flips? LoL

I completely agree with this. Again, I loved the steamy scenes and the email exchanges.

    But:
    Wanton.
    Oh My.
    Laters, Baby.
    Inner Goddess.
    REPEAT!!

I agree the emails were the best bit. The bondage stuff was pretty light really, I was expecting it to be a little more intense. It is very mills and boon tries BDSM. Readable but not worth raving about.

The "foil packet" part was annoying to me. WTF why can't she just call it a condom like a normal person? lol

Don't forget about the "funny feelings he gave me down there." *gag*

I thought this said "50 Shades of Gay". Now I'm seriously dissapointed.

In all seriousness, the reason it's like a "poorly written Twilight" is because it IS A POORLY WRITTEN TWILIGHT. It was written as an INTERNET FAN FICTION of Twilight. The names were changed to avoid copyright issues. *facepalm* So if you like melodramatic women with self esteem issues clincing to overbearing and controlling men with some porn/lol/ thrown in - this book is for you!

I read books like the lord of the rings trilogy personally the trilogy has fallen a few steps down the literary ladder and needs to be redefined back to the older trilogies even the star wars trilogy was more interesting and i like dragon lance and lord of the rings.

the first 2 books of the Bared to you trilogy are quite good, at least the female is not a total wimp & the male is not so much a controlling *kitten* as a damaged **** up.
