Who starts a weight loss challenge and gains 2 lbs the first week?!?!? Me, apparently. I'll be honest, this was a really bad week for me. I got the news that a childhood friend of mine was found dead, I'm currently doing the job of 3 people at work (including training a new person), TOM came roaring in mid week and my 2 year old daughter is having surgery tomorrow morning.
So, I'm admitting to making really bad choices, especially towards the end of the week. I'm wanting to put this week behind me and move forward and past this. I really need to learn to not emotionally eat and to use exercise instead of food to help with stress.
So...sorry everyone! I promise to do better this next week!
If you have any good vibes that you can send our way tomomrrow for the surgery, I'd appreciate it!0 -
Hello everyone! Busy hectic week this week, not just for me by the looks of the posts. My Dad got to go home today (Yay!), he's doing soooo much better! I only had 1 high calorie day this week (the 4th). All in all, I consumed 9,767 calories this week, 7 WHOLE days, a month and a half ago that would have been 2 days worth of calories, easy, and I'm eating 10 times more than I was too! Tomorrow morning is my weigh in, I'm hoping for a 1.8 lb loss this week, see you all at the scale!0

powerjenn - Mole sauce is a thick gravy type sauce which originated in Mexico. It is a combination of chocolate, chillies, garlic, and other spices that is most commonly served over chicken. My husband puts a little peanut butter in it too. Like any other dish, some people make it great while others... bleh...
ginaquinn2 - Our first mini challenge was given late on Monday night by me. This is what it was. "For our first mini challenge, I'd like us to up our water intake. I know I always do this one first. ;-) It's very important!! Unless you are already drinking 8+ cups a day, the challenge is to drink at least 4 cups a day or one more cup than you usually do. If you already drink over 8 cups a day, please challenge yourself with something else!"
Basically, this thread is like sitting around your dining table with some people you like to hang out with. :-) Someone will introduce a topic and it will get discussed for awhile and then someone will introduce something else, etc. It will be easy to follow, enjoy, participate in, etc. if you come here often and keep track of where you are at. One of our members gave a great post on how she does just that. If you come on here once a week, it will be harder and you definitely won't enjoy it as much or get as much benefit out of it. Your choice though.

Using my weigh in from this morning instead of tomorrow morning. I am leaving to Vegas for work for a week! I'm just hoping to not gain weight . Going to pack healthy snacks and eat as best as I can. Bringing weights to do some exercise in my room

Just got back from our week of sailing Lake Ontario.:bigsmile: We had a wonderful time but I did gain 5 pounds.
They say that is about average for vacation weight. I want to be in the 160's so my work is cut out for me.

Had some binges this week that I'm not particularly proud of Partially due to a very messed-up sleep schedule that has me sleeping at 6am and waking at 2pm, so my body was probably extremely confused and started screaming for food at 2am... to which I would oblige. Sigh... but no worries, I got my sleep schedule under control again so hopefully things will be looking up!

It amazes me that you can return to the exact same weight down to the tenth from one week to the next...either my body or scale must be comfortable at this number. Disappointed in no loss this week, but considering I was pretty much on Temptation Island at my in-laws, I will view this as a major victory as I'm sure I would usually return with a 3#+ gain...
This week I should be able to rock out a much better result!

I had a great weekend and did ok staying on track. Did visit my favorite sushi buffet with husband last night so I know I ate more than I should but I did a good job of sticking with healthier options and ate less than I normally do. Scale this morning was in the same place it was on Friday so that's a plus.
bcdpearce: Glad your dad is home and doing ok, I went through the ins-and outs of hospitals with my dad's heart for years and remember how stressful it is.
