Here's the lowdown. I'm allowed to tell you this, because I'm a brit which means I wasn't raised with all the homophobe crap that most American guys are raised with. A guy - I mean a genuine, secure in his sexuality guy - can watch half naked men and even appreciate their bodies without feeling sexual attraction to them. Your hubby is probably just wanting to take you to see the movie because he thinks you'll enjoy it and maybe it will turn you on and he'll get a bit of extra bedtime fun that evening.

Or maybe he's bi... but he's with you anyway, so you shouldn't be worried.

My guess is that hubby is either aroused by, or humored at seeing you get all 'hot and bothered'. I know my hubby loves it to know that I'm aroused. I doubt it's anything to worry about. unless you've had any thought in the past that he may have an interest in men.

Saw it. There was some female nude scenes as well, maybe he heard about those?

the story line was blah but i got what i wanted, and that was to see channing tatum grind his hips all over the place.

his past as a stripper paid off.

    1. watch magic mike with wife
    2. wife gets all worked up for channing tatum for 2 hours
    3. she is forced to settle for you at the end of the night anyway
    4. oh well, guaranteed sex

    Modified the plan a bit..

    1. Sent wife to see Magic Mike with her friends.
    2. Wife gets all worked up for Canning Tatum for 2 hours
    3. Wife and friends talk about what they would do to said actor if they had him alone
    4. Wife comes home and rips my clothes off. :smokin:

the plus side to this plan is I get a quiet couple hours to catch up my my "Lost Girl" episodes on SyFy, :drinker:

I honestly wouldn't sweat it. My hubby said he'd come with me if I wanted. No, he doesn't want to see the man meat. I just think he wishes he was a stripper, lol. It's the whole 'lots of hot women and money' concept.

I went and saw the movie this weekend. There were other men in the theater with their women. You have nothing to worry about. To go along with answer A, he is probably willing to go with you because he is secure enough with himself.

Its actually about a lot more then stripping. Maybe he heard that?!?!?! Or maybe he just wants to make you happy!! I know my husband won't go with me....but he is insanely jealous of the huge crush I have on Channing Tatum!

um, If he wanted to go see it with a group of guys I might worry. But really I think it's just a movie and if you relationship is fine otherwise I wouldn't worry. I think the movie looks funny.

He offered because of answer A. It probably wasn't geniune, but you bought it and ended up going to Menards to buy home improvement stuff. WIN FOR THE HUSBAND!

Yep pretty much, and he even got lucky with out seeing it, so that's a DOUBLE WIN!

Meh, I'm not clamoring to see the movie due to the swooning going on everywhere over Channing Tatum, but the movie looks like it might kind of funny. Had my wife asked me to take her to see it, I probably would have relented and just enjoyed spending time with her without our children. Luckily, her girlfriends have set up a single babysitter for all kids and they are going to see it themselves without any testosterone escort.

As for your husband, he's probably going to check out the women going to see the movie. That is going to be a babefest for sure.

I just thought it was very sweet and funny he even offered. I was bummed because I couldn't go with the girlfriends to see it, our times didn't work out together, so he offered to take me instead! So he gets brownie points in my eyes. But I just figured he was looking at the big picture, wife gets a little turned on by the movie and he's right there to collect! LOL I guess I didn't see it any different than a woman going to a strip club. But I think the guys on here see it very differently. hmmm... that's kinda interesting. So just out of curiosity to the people that are replying B, what would say to a woman that went to a strip club with her husband?? Oh, and this is all in fun, no judgments or getting mad, just curious that's all!

I think it is exactly that just him being sweet!! And so what if he does check out hot sexy guys!! When something is beautiful male or female I think we all look! Its about being comfortable in your own sexuality. I have been to strip clubs with my boyfriend! Not saying he would go see this movie with me. But we have both commented when we someone out that has a nice body or who is very attractive. Its human nature to pay attention to the beauty we are surrounded by everyday. Nothin more nothing less!!

What is the big deal if a man wants to watch magic mike? No one would say anything if a girl wanted to go see Show Girls, Flashdance, Strip Tease, etc. Nothing wrong with admiring someone of the same sex...doesn't mean we are attracted to them sexually just means we appreciate their look and maybe even aspire to look like that ourselves (like you said - learn a thing or two haha)!
It could also mean he is attracted to them. What is the problem with that?
I don't think anywhere in my comment it said there WAS a problem with that. I said that it doesn't necessarily mean they are attracted to them sexually....I am implying that she shouldn't jump to conclusions and there could be more reasons than what she listed..........................................................
If you didn't mean to imply that, I apologize. However the general tone of this thread is that if the guy is bi or even bi-curious, it's something to be worried about, and that is extremely offensive.

I posted earlier that this was all in good fun. I have NO DOUBT that my husband is straight, and it does cause a problem for ME if he is bi - or gay, given that I am his wife and have been with him for 14 years and have 4 kids with him. Do I care if anyone else on this earth is gay/bi absolutely not. As long as a person is happy it doesn't matter. I was laughing about this, because as with most reactions on here, for some reason guys get a bad rap for going to this movie, but if a girl goes to a strip club or watches porn with her man the majority of people consider that hot... that's all my point was being here. I know why my husband offered to go, he is a wonderful and caring husband that wants to make me happy... I thought it would be funny to hear everyone's reactions, that's all. I don't understand why you are getting all upset over this??

I'm glad you think it's all in good fun, but the attitude of many of the posters here is very offensive. It's not even an overt "I hate gays" sentiment, it's a very casual attitude that of course a guy who likes other guys is weird and wrong. That's not "fun" to anyone who's experienced real discrimination. It's obviously not a real concern for you, but threads like this encourage discrimination and hate.

Maybe he's hoping you'll be so revved up after the movie you can have wild teenage sex in the backseat of the car afterwards.

Edit....why was I thinking the word 'wedding'..... I obviously need more sleep.

Are you freaking kidding me... first of all I have no problem with gay people or bisexual etc. I WOULD have a serious problem if my HUSBAND was GAY or BISEXUAL...how would you not? that is bull****!

If I had a bisexual hubby that wouldn't bother me as he would still like women and we may be able to have a sexy two man 1 girl three way, lol. If he was gay and never told me, I'd be a bit upset due to the lack of communication, not his sexuality. Then we could split and find people more suited to our needs.

It's received a lot of publicity, maybe he's just curious. Or maybe he thinks it's the next Harry Potter movie.

This is what has been bothering me about this thread, too. I mean, if he's bi, he's bi. Obviously he's chosen to be with OP for the time being, so as long as he's been honest with her, what's the big deal?

My boyfriend and I have no issues finding attractive attributes of those who belong to our own sex. I can comment on women, he can comment on men, and as long as we're honest and together with each other at the end of the day, who gives a quack?

My fiance wants to go see it with me. Only because most of the cast are in some of his favorite movies.

Okay, if he does wanna see it for the guys, I wouldn't be /worried/. In case some people on this site are forgetting, guys can be bisexual and married to a woman at the same time.

And I've read that there wasn't even that many scenes, and it was more storyline than anything?

Personally I think it looks like a terrible movie, but I'm not for the whole stripper thing.

Depends, did you ask him about the movie and then he offered. Or did he come up to you and offer out of the blue?
