1) Barefoot or minimal running is best.
2) Barefoot or minimal running will destroy your feet.
3) You should eat back your exercise calories.
4) You should not eat back your exercise calories.
5) Starvation mode is real.
6) Starvation mode is a myth.
7) It's about eating healthy, not calories.
8) It's about calories, not eating healthy.
9) Losing a certain amount of weight (.5-2 lbs) per week is best and the only right way.
10) Losing any amount of weight is okay if you're permanently changing your lifestyle.

So, what I've really learned...

1) Discover what works for you personally and that you feel you can sustain for the long-haul.

    And I just learned that unless you're really gifted, the body stores fat in the inner thighs and there's only one small tiny muscle there, and you can't really target that area.

    And then...the big one...you cannot spot reduce!

    Oh - and everything is ok as long as there's an emoti involved. :drinker:

    Lift weights or:

    you are weak/will have cellulite/will be skinny fat/will start to store fat (even though you may run a marathon every Saturday morning)

    11) It's okay to be classless, hateful, ugly, and just rude to anyone who disagrees with you on the above opinions (or anything else for that matter) as long as you're just some anonymous person behind a computer.

    Discerning individuals know that disagreeing is an acceptable option. I learn quite a bit from those that disagree with me.
