I'm 33, 5'2" & last 2009 my highest weight was at 75 kilos (almost 170 lbs.) when I was diagnosed with PCOS & type 2 diabetes. I was officially classified as obese. Anyway fast forward to three years & now I weigh 54.2 (120 lbs.), up from 53 kilos (115lbs.) but did that on purpose. Actually the majority of my transformation came when I got serious on heavy weight lifting & I've been doing it for more than a year now (Who says women can turn into a man, huh? FYI: I have PCOS & above average testosterone levels too). Right now I'm into bulk/cut cycle.
Anyway here is my before & after pics.
Before at 75+ kilos (42-36-45) - taken early 2010
During at 65ish kilos (about 39-34-41)
After at 54.2 kilos (34-26.5-35.5) - taken just two weeks ago (The result of heavy weight lifting. Still working on to lose those fats to get my body fat percentage to teens.)

I'm 5'4" and began around 160lbs in October. I was a tight 10 (US, American Eagle) and a large shirt. According to an online calculator, I had about 32% body fat, a 31 inch waist, about 41 inch hips, and a BMI of 27.5.
And now I'm around 140lbs (last time I weighed in was over two weeks ago, I'm doing a month without the scale as I was obsessed for quite some time and my daily weigh ins would seriously affect my mood), eat 2000 calories a day, and wear a loose 6 US (AE pants again) or tight 4 at American Eagle. Medium or small t-shirt, depending on the store. Again, online calculator says I'm at about 24.5% body fat, BMI of 24ish, and waist is 27 inches, hips 37, bust 37.
I'd still like to lose about 5-7% body fat, get into a comfortable 4 or even size 2. I don't know exactly though, it's more about happiness and where I feel most comfortable with myself. I want to be away from the danger area of the BMI scale, a bit away from being overweight as I don't want to have health complications from that, and ensure my future health and longevity.
I'm in the Eat More to Weigh Less group/mindset. When I started losing in October last year I was only eating 1300, exercising twice a day, and I lost 8lbs the first month. The bad side was however that it wasn't sustainable for me, I grew far too obsessive, had a very unhealthy mindset, focused solely on getting thin rather then the other benefits of a healthy lifestyle, seriously neglected my studies, berated myself for missing work outs or going over my calorie goal, and it came to it's climax when I fainted at the gym.
Now I don't ever net below my BMR, I make sure to properly fuel my body, have tonnes of energy, can indulge without regret, feel way better about myself, love my body, enjoy my work outs and don't use them to counterbalance what I eat/use it as punishment, I'm open to more foods, I've conquered a bout of bingeing which stalled my progress December-May, and love work outs that involve strength training.
I know it's not much weight loss but I have traveled some distance and cleaned up my lifestyle loads. Also, I'm on day 78 of Jillian Michaels 90 Day Body Revolution and excited to move onto New Rules of Lifting for Women after this!
This is very inspiring to see! I'm about 5'4" also and just a few pounds under your starting weight, so it gives me hope!0 -
Great Job!!! I may try the Insanity DVDS myself to see if I can get over my plateau0

I'm 5'5" and this is a very inspirational forum. Would love to know what exercise regimen those that have been successful follows (i.e. Insanity, P90X, Spinning, Zumba, etc). Thanks for the added motivation.0

5"5 here, and I'd be more than happy to
Start weight (196);
Current weight (165);
It can be done! I did it without much exercise either (not advising that, but you don't HAVE to exercise to lose weight). Stay strong and keep going! Hope I can be some inspiration0 -
I began in October at 315.5 and have lost around 86 pounds. The first picture was about a month before I started, and it wasn't my highest weight. The second picture was taken this morning.

In June of 2011, I wore a size 14 and could sometimes squeeze into a size 12. Today I can wear a size 6 and I'm on my way to being a size 4. I did it with healthy eating and lots of exercise!0
