Just curious how moms with stretch marks feel with wearing their bikinis in public. Something that I have contemplated (After loosing a little more weight of course) but wasn't sure if my confidence would be up enough. I would love to see how women wear their stretch marks well.
I feel that confidence is key, and I just need to gain more of it. Lol.
I have stretch marks up to my belly button. and all over my love handles AND thighs.

sure. I gave birth to 6 kids so my belly is more stretch marks than normal skin but I still wear a bikini0 -
I plan on wearing mine!!! and i have stretch marks in exactly the same places as you. I think once my body is where I want it to be I won't be too ashamed of them. I think to myself...I don't really stare at anyone else who has them, so why would someone stare at mine? good luck!0

If I was as fit as you, I would too. Lol. I put a bikini on all I can think about is 'gosh everyone is going to be looking at my stretch marks' Lol. I hope that if I see enough 'moms in bikinis' that Ill be like, They look great, I can wear one too! lol0 -
I totally do, and I have bad stretch marks, but I've worked hard on the muscle behind the stretch marks, so you bet I show it off
...I was VERY self conscious at first, but I'm usually at the pool with my kids, so it's obvious I've had kids, and well they are part of my story!0 -

That does up my spirits some. I think if I could just get over the fear very first, like you did, then I will be okay. Maybe I just need to get over that first time. Lol0 -
Yeah the first time is "scary", but after you get over that it's easy. Best of luck!0

I do wear one, a normal top with boy short bottoms....My stretch marks start high up on my ribs (right under my boobs) and go down my thighs. Short lady+big babies= lots of marks!0

You know, there's always something "scary" about the first moment you bare yourself in a swim suit, regardless of whether it's a bikini. I say, the more stretch marks the general public sees, the better off we'll all be -- this is life, people! When you've worked to where you want to be with what's under that skin, you'll have deserved to show off. Go for it!0

One day I will, today I did buy just a bikini top but I don't have the balls yet to wear it in public.0
-
Hell yeah girl! IDGAF about my stretch marks anymore, I've worked too hard for my body to not wear cute bikinis
I just got the one I'm wearing in my profile pic a week or so ago, I love it!0 -
stretch marks are sexy, Just sayin0
-
<~~~~~~ Ya bet I do. I'm working hard for the muscle and I am going to wear bikini. Who's looking at stretch marks anyway when you're smoking hottt???:drinker:0
-
Yep... remind me that i have two boys!!! and i love my boys!0
-
Yup! Wore one yesterday when I went swimming. Once you get over the fear, it's quite liberating.0

I think if you are toned and they are faded stretch marks....they aren't really that obvious. At least they don't scream "look at me". I wore a bikini after my first 2 kiddos but haven't worn one this time so far (I had 2 more) but then I haven't lost all my weight yet...sooooo. We don't "do" bikinis as a family if that makes sense but I still have my old black one. I will definitely wear it if my hubby and I go somewhere just the 2 of us.0

Rock them ladies, don't be ashamed.0

I don't have stretch marks, or kids. I just wanted to give you my point of view.
I think it's beautiful that you gave birth to your babies, and those stretch marks add character. I have never looked at someone and judged them by their stretch marks. I think if you feel comfortable wearing a bikini, then do it!
Just like everyone else said, once you start doing it, you'll forget about it! Plus, everyone is going to be looking at your rockin' body!!!!

Sure do...and I let those lines shine!!0

Hell no, I haven't worn a bikini since I was 18 and that was in 1992....LOL My stretch mark's aren't that bad. My skin is horrible. I need a tummy tuck....0
-
Yup, don't really like the extra pounds but I still wear the bikini, my stretch marks go from about 4 inches above my belly button to down my legs, most are light in colour but some are purple or grey, but whatever if others don't like it too bad, I went from 130 to 172 in my first pregnancy, wasn't kind to my skin.0

I haven't yet but more so because I have a little bit of loose skin above the belly button and my belly button is now an outie after baby #2. I started wearing a tankini and I feel great in it. I hope to one day wear a bikini again when I'm confident enough cause I honestly don't care about stretch marks its the loose skin that keeps me from wearing one.0

I have stretch marks and I'm not even a mum yet0

Exactly, my loose skin is horrible... I hate it! I have 3 kids now and it's worse...0 -

MY EFIN HERO!!! I can't wait to get to that point. That is the scariest thing to me. I feel like mine are TERRIBLE and used that as an excuse not to work out for the longest. But they do look gradually better since I've lost some weight.0 -
God no - way to self concious im afraid - even when i get back to my goal weight i wouldnt - i'm a little over 5 foot tall, my last child weighed 10lb7oz... Bikini's aint happening here!!0
-
You bet I do!! I have stretch marks from having two babies and surgerical scars (my tummy resembles a "T" intersection (lol) - and I am 110% comfortable with them - and so is my husband
For all you Moms out there with stretch marks:
The Beauty Love Left Behind
A mark for every breath you took, every blink, every sleepy yawn. One for every time you sucked you thumb, waved hello, closed your eyes, and slept in the most perfect darkness. One for every time you had the hiccups. One for every dream your dreamed within me. It isn't very pretty anymore. Some may even think it ugly. That's OK. It was your home. It's where I first grew to love you, where I lay my hand as I dreamed about who you were and who you would be. It held you until my arms could, and for that, I will always find something beautiful in it...0 -
Same issue here. No kids but still have stretch marks. I have way to go before I can think of bikini but I definitely want that option I read somewhere that tanning helps hide them to some extent. Just curious, do self-tanning kits work? Has anyone tried them? Don't want to go to tanning beds or fry myself in the sun.0

You ladies (and the guy who responded) rock! I have worked so hard to get my body in shape after 3 babies but I too was a little self-conscious about some of the stretch marks from pregnancy. I'm going to the beach in a few weeks and ya know what, I am going to rock that bikini!!!!!0
