My spouse does not know....but I do get a lot of complements from those on my list. One just can not stop commenting about it though0

Also - I JUST took before pictures this morning. (Wish I would have done them at the beginning, since I'm already down 12). I took one set in my sports bra + workout shorts. and another set in sports bra + undies. I mostly just took the underwear ones for me. I'm taking a lot of Zumba classes, and noticing that I have somewhat of an *kitten*, for once in my life. I wanted to document it. Doubt those will go online..
My man is pretty supportive of my progress, and I'll probably ask him to help me with the after shots. He's not really the jealous type, but I wouldn't post a picture of myself that I wasn't comfortable having online. I may not spread them on FB, but if I wouldn't wear it to the gym or the beach, I probably wouldn't post it..
I don't mind looking at OTHERS' sexy pics though0 -
I wish the quote boxes (like above) would say who was being quoted....
Like good forums.
I agree. It's very frustrating trying to find who said something.
This drives me bonkers each and every day!! That, and the lack of a 'subscribe' button. Adding that would stop forcing people to misuse "bump".
As for the pics, yeah the ones that are cleavage shots from above their head do make it excessively difficult to check the forums at work. Personally it doesn't bother me, but people who might catch a glimpse of my screen don't know the purpose of this site. Perception rules!0 -
Regardless of your reasons ladies, thank you. :flowerforyou:0

I dont post pics like that, mainly because I don't want to scar the retinas of everyone in the MFP community.:noway:
If I Did want to, my husband would have no problem with it.
It doesnt bother me a bit to see the pics of proud people who have worked hard to achieve their goal. Nothing about the body is offensive to me, be it plump, fit or bone thin. Rather its the judgements of people who should mind their own business and not look that offends me.0 -
I have an issue with certain people posting pictures of themselves wearing next to nothing while posing provocatively. My thought process is that if you're a 40 something who is happily married and have children, that kind of behavior isn't appropriate.
On the flip side, I have a lot of friends who post photos of their backs, in bikins flexing, their abs, etc, and those I feel are totally acceptable because they have worked hard to lose fat and increase muscle so I genuinely think they should show off their hard work. There's a fine line, especially for those married or in committed relationships, that people need to consider.
If they look good, why not?0 -
To me, I don't see much of a difference between underwear/bra and a bikini. Often times, bikinis are more revealing than an underwear set as it is, and those are socially acceptable to pose in. I think there is a difference between taking a photo displaying your hard work and your body and the ones that leave so little to the imagination that it's borderline completely inappropriate.
To play it safe... I think if it's a picture you wouldn't want your own father to see, you shouldn't post it.0 -
My SO hasn't...hasn't asked to see them. Not that I think mine are particularly over the top.
But people have a right to their separate lives even if they are with another person.
My motivation for posting my pics is to feel confident in MYself. Not to pick up another person or an online relationship. There's a lot of things in life that I share with my SO. MFP is just about me, and I like it that way.
exactly how i feel!! but I did put 1 pic of me in my undies and bra but didnt keep it on for long cause I felt weird about it but I supose I was just a bit stoked being able to take a pic like that after loosing 35kgs My partner didnt see it but I dont think I would have liked to see his face if he did!! kind of the jealous type0 -
There's a difference between posting a progress or after pic in your bra/undies, bikini, or bare back and a provocative picture.
If I looked good in a bikini or I had muscles to show, I can't say that I would or wouldn't, but to post provocative pictures for attention is another thing.
But until there is an after pic, fully clothed me is all you're all going to get.0 -
Honestly, I never thought any of my profile pics were sexy. They are just me showing off my progress in a swimsuit or fitness clothes. If people think they are sexy, that's news to me. I mean, seriously, I'm 40 and a mom, just posing in my bathroom with my self-timer on. It's not like it's a shoot for Playboy, lol.0

Just posing in a bikini with a six pack you mean :P0 -
IF you earn a soft, plushy viking helmet - you need to rock that S***. That is pure sexiness.
All kidding aside, when you look in the mirror - you may or may not recognize progress, your friends here will for you however. AAANNNNND - the human body is a beautiful thing - too beautiful not to celebrate and share. My .020 -
I like how people say "seriously, no judgement" and then go on to make a judgement.... :grumble:0

My husband takes all my provocative pix and posts them on a website. I don't think he minds if I use them here as my profile pic.
I don'talways have them up tho...my current one is pretty normal.0 -
Before I ask this question, please know that I'm coming from a place of curiosity, not a place of judgement.
From reading posts on the message board, I've noticed a lot of profile pics of people in their underwear, some in pretty provocative positions. My questions are, if you're in a relationship 1) has your partner (spouse, gf, bf, SO) seen the photos?, 2) do they mind that you post them for the public to view?
My current pic is just about as provocative as I get. Might pull the drawers down a bit further but not much more than this.
In response to your questions:
. My wife has seen every pic and takes zero issue with my pics.0 -

I'm not comfortable putting my shirtless pic as my main yet (not for a while). I put some of my progress on my page so my friends can see where I am and give their advises accordingly. Would i change my main pic when I reach my goal? Yeah!0

I'm personally not proud of the lack of work I've done and an extremely modest person that won't go there.
But I sincerely appreciate all of you in your skivvy's... Especially Sidesteal, Bacon, Joe, Brett, ACG, Felrio.... the list goes on.
LMAO!0
