I ride around the lake 10 miles a day. However, most years December, January, February too much ice. What do you guys do during those months? I don't find indoor riding that interesting.0

I just started cycling a few months back and have been wondering the same thing. :flowerforyou:0 -
12.5 miles tonight. Holy Smokes! My little 7 year old daughter has been begging me to take her with me. I've put it off because I didn't think that she would make it. Finally, I promised that she could try on Saturday. So we rode my favorite ride to the pond 6.3 miles each way. Including the time spent feeding the ducks, it took us about 3 hours. Slow to the point of insanity, but she was so happy and so proud that she made it the whole way.

I agree about the indoor riding - its just not the same
When it is just cold, I have additional layers I can wear when I ride. When there is snow, I have ridden my mountain instead of my road bike. I find ice a bit scary and usually will not ride if it is icy out0 -

I did a little over 200 miles in July with my longest ride being 40 miles. I'm going to shoot for 300 miles overall and a single 50 mile ride this month. Just started training for a 100 mile Tour de Cure next April.
