I took on an ambitious project...War and Peace by Tolstoy. I wanted to give up at first, but now I'm 400 pages in and I really like it. I'm a Tolstoy fan :)

I've been listening to my first ever audiobook, I got an audible account so I would have something engaging to listen to when I have to run alone. I chose "The Witness" by Nora Roberts and I really like it, although I'm almost done and I don't have another audible credit for awhile so I've been avoiding listening to it lately.

I haven't been actually reading anything since I started listening to that because I'm not sure if I want to be in two books at once, although I do kind of miss real reading so I may try out both at once.

This is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper. It's funny, in a dark humor sort of way.

I'm reading a suspense thriller called "The Perfect Husband" by Lisa Gardner. This girl marries a cop when she is 18 years old. He immediately turns violent but there isn't much she can do, as no one will believe her. She starts logging his hours after he starts working longer, logging his miles, so forth and so on. Brutal murders start happening and she matches up all his logs with the time frame of the murders. The other cops believe her and start trailing him, then he vanishes. For 6 months he is MIA and the cops back off of protective duty on her house. Then he shows up... He starts to beat her with a baseball bat and she grabs her gun and gets a few shots off. The cops bust in and arrest him. Then he serves time in prison, brutally kills two guards and disappears again. So instead of asking for police protection, she puts her daughter in witness protection and takes off to handle the situation herself. Seriously on the edge of my seat here!!! Freakin awesome book!

    ^^this looks great!! Thanks!

I'm currently reading You Came Back by Christopher Coake. The beginning was good but it's starting to drag a bit in the middle. It's about a man whose 7 year old son passed away which resulted in him and his wife divorcing. He's engaged to someone else now but it turns into a ghost story about his son's spirit still being in their old house. I'm half way through the book and he hasn't seen the ghost yet. Seems to linger a little too much on the man's depressive state though, but it's not bad.

For pure enjoyment, I am reading "Wild" by Cheryl Strayed (about a woman hiking the Pacific Crest Trail to "find herself") *GREAT!

For education, I'm about half way through "Engine 2 diet" by Rip Epstyen--really makes me think and revamp what I eat.

    Guilty by Karen Robards

it's pretty good so far, first book by her that i've read. My favorite author is Dean Koontz and I really like J.D. Robb was well, but I ran out of their books to read, so i'm branching out... another author that seems pretty good (new to me) is Lisa Unger

I just finished a great book yesterday. Angefall (Penryn and the end of days) by Susan Ee. It is apparently YA fiction but don't let that put you off. Once I picked it up I couldn't put it down until I had finished it. Thankfully it was relatively short and I am a very fast reader. The only downside is that it is obviously a series and this is the only one so far.

Not reading anything at the moment but like the sounds of "The perfect husband" someone mentioned.
