"...and I"
"here's a photo of my friend and I."
Ugh. Like nails on a chalkboard. "Here is a photo of my friend and me" is the right way.
Confusing anxious with eager.
"I am anxious to go to the carnival!" - I want to ask "Why the anxiety? have you never been? Something there going to scare you?"
"I am eager to go to the carnival" - Me too! Will be fun!
What are some of your grammar pet peeves?

The only thing worse than this for me would be "Here is a photo of my friend and myself." For some reason, it makes me want to shove sharp objects into my ears.0 -

anx·ious [ ángkshəss ] 1.feeling nervous: worried or afraid, especially about something that is going to happen or might happen
2.eager: wanting to do something very much, or in a tense or uneasy way
3.producing anxiety: producing feelings of nervousness or agitation.
Carnival might have clowns. Some people might hate clowns to being fearful of them. Hence, being anxious0 -
Oh, have you ever seen a Craigslist ad for something made of "ROD IRON" ? WTF?!?!?!0
-
Definitely the homonyms like to/too/two and their/there.
I think my biggest one is then/than, though. And also, I really hate when people say they "could care less" (that implies they DO care) when they mean "couldn't care less" — but that might technically be syntax more than grammar...0 -
"could" + "have" DOES NOT = "could of" ...What the heck does "could of " mean?
It's "could've, would've, should've"
Not understanding why this is so hard. Do they not teach contractions in grade school English anymore?0 -
I hate when people type "ya'll" when it is really "y'all." Boorish.0

Lose & Loose
oh god, THIS. And also, I'm sick of seeing people mix up regimen (a strict routine) and regiment (a group of people, usually military), which seems to happen a LOT on health boards.0 -

"here, here" comes to mind...0

Where is the grammar problem there?0 -
Not capitalizing all words in the title of the post "Grammar pet peeves"0

So many I can't list them all here. I agree with everything suggested so far. I'll also add:
Center around (should be center on)
When people put more or most in front of words that already have an -er or -est suffix
ie - Most funniest0 -
"and I" is perfectly correct when it's the subject: "My husband and I went for a bike ride" but not when it's the object as in your examples. Simple rule o' thumb: If you would use "I" by itself, as in "I went for a bike ride" then use it in the pair. If you would use "me", as in "Grammar mistakes piss me off" then use it in the pair.0

I get all hot when people use "there, their, and they're" properly...0

"I seen..."
No, not 'seen'. Saw. You saw.0 -

THE WORD IS LOSE! NOT LOOSE! YOU CANNOT LOOSE 10 POUNDS! That drives me batshnit crazy.
This! and I also can not stand when people say " I have a great ideal" instead of " I have a great idea" what is up with that?0 -
I agree with the ones you put! Even anxious/eager... it's funny how so many people misuse words based on their connotations! Like the word 'plethora'... most people just use it to say 'a lot of something' but it actually has negative connotations, like 'too much of something'!
The worst thing I ever see coming from literate people is mixing up our and are.... "welcome to are home."
So painful!0 -
