    Mine is from when I went to go visit family in Florida in May. I had just recently lost a job and it was probably the happiest I had been in awhile.

    Mine is a couple months old now, but it's the first picture somebody took of me where I noticed a difference in my weight pictorially. I also think it's just a nice picture, and I normally hate pics of myself.

    Its me at Tiki Caliente (a mid century tiki kitsch event) 35 pounds lighter in my most natural state swim trunks, vintage iolani shirt, and a tiki mug filled with rum in my hand.

    It's a photo of me (I'm the only woman in the picture :wink: ) standing on the summit of Crystal Peak (~6500') near Mt. Rainier. Getting to the top of that mountain involved hiking 3000' up in 4 miles and crossing a 300-yard-wide, steep, VERY exposed snowfield (i.e. if I'd slipped and fallen, I wouldn't be here to tell the tale).

    These are things I'd never have been able to do at my highest weight, that I can do now.

    Just me and our puppy, the first day we got her.

    (Please don't send me messages telling me how cute she is and asking what breed she is. Don't be bummed when I tell you she's a pit bull mix. She is incredibly adorable. She's also a great dog, very smart, extremely loving, and gets along fabulously with our children. Our baby especially loves her, and she tolerates her tail being pulled on very well. Of course, we discourage that behavior, but even so, Astrid doesn't mind a bit because she loves our kids.)
