Why do YOU delete "friends"
Replies

I only delete people who never interact with me.0
-
1. Because I can.
2. I have nothing in common with them (different workouts, different eating philosophy, different place in life, etc).
3. They've been on my list for a month and I can't remember them ever having any interaction with me.0 -
people who suck
mmhmm0 -
funny - i got deleted.. boo-urrrns!
I was actually looking forward to reading this persons food journal, because they were doing so well.. and she went and deleted me.
I haven't deleted anyone yet, but see that some on my list haven't been active for over 3 months. Oy.
Yup! Same experience. No idea what I did but I got deleted by someone...I am not rude, and think I am supportive and actually liked looking at her posts for inspiration. But in the end it was OK because now I don't need to read 10 posts a day listening to how much weight she lifts, what she accomplished before 5 a.m. LOL
I seem to attract lots of people with EDs and delete them because the unhealthy patterns is just too distracting to watch. And delete those who don't log in for 2 months. I am here to get and provide inspiration and be held accountable and you can't do that if you aren't logging on a regular basis.0 -
I haven't deleted anyone but the first sign of whining or poor me behavior and you're out of here. I don't care what your issues are. The whole world has problems. I absolutely HATE whiners.0

If they haven't logged for 2 weeks or more.0

I have no friends to delete....0

b/c he wears a banana hammock and I just get tired of seeing his junk every time I log in.
ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!! :smokin: :drinker:0 -
No activity or support!0
-
- Constantly criticizing the fact that I like to have cappuccinos as long as I know they'll fit into my calorie goal.
- Don't enjoy a good joke or a funny story.
- Not actually committed to losing weight, maintaining weight, becoming healthy or whatever, just on here for the guys or girls.
- Constantly drinking, smoking, partying, etc.
- Not supportive in the least.
- Does not exercise.
- Does not log food.
You get the drift.0 -
I have no friends to delete....
You have 231 friends, you liar0 -

now where can I get one a those banana hammocks?0 -
Actually, I think we are all in this to help one another. So I would not normally delete someone unless they were actively troublesome. I am new and do not have many friends but that is ok also.0

I delete people when they don't log in for 4-5 or more days at a time. I need people who are as motivated as I am. That's why I'm here, because I don't get the support and motivation that I need in real life.0

Most honest reason yet, thread closed!0 -
I delete...
- If they are only eating 300 cals a day or something similar
- Constant stupid status updates and I mean like 10+ a day.
- Always looking for opposite sex attention or making sexual comments.0 -
Usually only if they haven't logged in for at least a couple weeks, or they never interact with me0

Eating under 1000 calories. So unhealthy. I'm trying to stay healthy. I pretty much lost a lot of my friends when I took a break from MFP during the summer, and most deleted me.0

I deleted my first today. I had made suggestions about her food diary, she really didn't care to change anything, so off she went finally.
She would eat around 300-500 cals for about 4-5 days and then would binge and eat over 3,000 for a few days.
I suggested how this wasn't good, after all that's why she stated she wanted friends.....and she never liked it when I did it.0 -
They eat way to little and they post way too much!0

It's very hard for some people to even make it to 1000, I barely come in over 1000 a lot of the time. I have zero appetite and I don't get hungry often. I TRY to eat at least 1300 every day, but like 2-3 days a week, I come in under. Never on purpose.0 -

What about holidays, surely you must understand people have "lives" outside of MFP and people do go away for longer than 5 days, has nothing to do with commitment, I'd be out of luck been your friend, I can only access through my home PC, I don't have a fancy phone that can connect to the web. Not lack of commitment just lack of funds, actually tbh I'd be okay as I don't have funds to go on a holiday for a day let alone five:(0 -
People who post "I'm deleting people because ____________ " (insert reason they are better than everyone else here).
Those are the ones I can't stand. If our relationship on MFP has contingencies, I don't have time for it. So I'll just delete you now to save you time.
Otherwise I don't really delete people.0 -
Haven't logged in a month ..0

-people who have their diaries closed off to friends. it is so difficult for people to fully support you and advise you if they can't see what you're eating. I don't feel comfortable saying 'congratulations!' when you were 'under your calorie goal' one day, if I can't see how actually healthy your day was. I can't help you if you don't share things with me.
-people who consume unhealthily low amounts of calories e.g. people who have an ED that they are NOT trying to get over, or people on 'fad diets' who set their calorie goals to 600 or 700 a day and expect congratulations when they stay under. Those people should not be encouraged and their behaviour should not be reinforced.
-people who are rude to me
-people who don't support me or ever communicate with me0 -
One guy on here who "friended me" collected women who showed off their body in their profile (mostly boob pictures). I didn't want to be part of that crowd.0

People that never even talk to me...Why even bother to "friend" me?0

Not logging in for over a month, eating too few calories every day (like not even breaking 1000).0
