Well so much for that, the house exploded into chaos! The 15 year old was incredibly snotty and got sent to her room, and it's almost 7 and the other one "forgot" she was cooking tonight. They both "missed" the empty cat litter container I had put right in front of their bathroom this morning. They actually had to step over it to get in!

So anyway, what I was going to tell you was my old cat (he's nearly 18) lost a "fang" yesterday. We were brushing animal teeth ( a regular sunday chore) and noticed an entire top fang is totally missing! Poor baby! Are they called "canines" in cats or "felines" LOL?

Well maybe after dinner I can go to bed early...I'm still drooping. MEg

Hi everyone - you are all terrific and I feel bad to just do a quick post and run but there you go........I am exhausted. You are doing so many wonderful things. It's super, inspiring, and doggone it, I'd like to do more.

Today I ran a few errands including a run by Target. Just went in and purchased what I had on my list and didn't look around because that place is dangerous to me. I always find more than I need. Then on to Trader Joes for more Greek yogurt and frozen fruit. Also no extra looking around there either because that is ALSO expensive. Ha. I have no willpower do I?

I made the little tiny scallops today. They were actually kind of sweet in taste. I think I would like the giant ones better if I ever purchase more of them. But it was a nice change.

Also threw a lot of things together, loosely based on other recipes I'd seen, and Vitamixed some soup. It was kind of fun to make something up. I sure get a lot of use out of that appliance.

I've been waiting for a call back RE my dad. The skin specialist was to contact me and i heard nothing today. I am worried to death. My dad is not eating---just a few bites 2X a day. He's feeling too bad to sit up in a chair or the wheelchair. He does the minimum with PT and then says he's exhausted and wants to lay down. So he's in bed a lot with that foam spacer between his legs to try to keep the new partial hip aligned properly. So of course, he's developed sores on both heels, and now from out of nowhere, he has sores on the tops of both feet. They don't know why. His Allen cognitive score has dropped to the point Assisted Living may not be interested in having him back even if he can rehab more but his physical condition is disturbing to me. He cannot stand without the assistance of 2 people and they tell me it takes 70 minutes to clean and dress him. The c. diff. still isn't cured of course. They will not give pain med unless he asks so I asked to have regular Tylenol administered on a regular basis and the doctor agreed.

Medical folks----how worried should I be at this point? He's 2 1/2 weeks post surgical now and PT seems to think he should be doing better. They are calling him borderline anorexic now.

Off to do a collapse.......I sleep with my cell phone on my bedside stand. More water and then I'm moving upstairs with a book. I hope everyone gets some well deserved rest.

@ Barbara, AHMOD who will be a size 10 one day (love that tag -- makes me laugh every time) -- my sympathies about getting the bike down from the loft. If your stamina on the bike is anything like mine (very limited) I can understand your husband's reluctance. We have an ongoing battle about how and where things should be "put away." I believe that things should be easy to get at, and preferably should be stored close to where you use them (e.g. tablecloths near the dining room table, sewing supplies near the sewing machine, bike in the shed where it can be rolled in and out easily). He views storage in terms of available space without regard to the degree of difficulty in accessing the stuff when you want it. Hence, the bike was originally stored in the basement and if I ever wanted to ride it I would have to haul it up the dark twisty stairs outside, and then after the ride (when I was exhausted), haul it back down the dark twisty stairs. Gee, I wonder why I never wanted to ride my bike? I prevailed in getting the bike stored in the shed (finally -- after MANY conversations), but then it got pushed all the way in the back behind 3 boys' bikes, two lawnmowers, and countless garden implements that are sharp and dirty. All of this would have to be emptied out of the shed in order to get at my bike. Sigh. Now it's only behind 2 bikes and one lawnmower, so things are looking up!

Good luck with your surgeon's appointment tomorrow (or was it today?) for your Mohs surgery. I had one removed from the tip of my nose several years ago. It did, indeed, leave a gaping hole on the end of my nose which horrified me, but it filled itself in remarkably fast. The scar is barely noticeable. So be prepared when you first remove the bandage. You might wonder how they think you're supposed to walk around with the end of your nose missing! It grows back -- kind of like a skink that re-grows its tail! And this is all part of what gives us 50+ women our charm and character, right?

Cheers to all. Must get busy with work. I finally convinced my co-teacher to CO-PLAN today!! Major victory! This means I actually have some things to prepare for classes tomorrow and I want it to be good since I'm sure she thinks it won't be good enough. Keep your fingers crossed.

    Drink, drink, drink your waters,

    Polly

Happy Monday?? The start of another fun -filled week with "Joe Public"...yes I am also a desk jockey...but it is a job that I know and I like it more days than I hate it! Lol...in my next life I am going to make a living doing something I love to do...hopefully I will figure that out by then! Ok...not sure where that came from but I guess it's out there now...

Had some pretty good workouts in the last week and hopefully will continue that trend ...now that the weather is cooling off will try to have a cup of tea after dinner and try to reduce the "I am not even hungry" snacking...we will see if that will help change the bad habit...will keep you posted.

Speaking of keeping you posted...sibling tennis...have not been able to get all of us together...Thursday we are playing with Jeff (oldest brother) and maybe his wife...hopefully we will be able to get sibling tennis in before we have to stop playing...of course we could probably try for a weekend...in October???:noway:

Dd had a message from ds this am...HUGE relief..I have not heard a peep, but at this point I will take 2nd hand info!!

Lin - I have no words of wisdom for you but I am sure your "gut" instincts are a good guide for you..I pray your dad starts to feel stronger soon:flowerforyou:

Meg - hang in there with the teenagers...my dad always told me not to worry it only lasts 20 years...LOL:laugh:

Have a good evening all..hugs, high fives and plenty of prayers...we are all in this together

The salmon continues to work magic – salmon yesterday and, sure enough, down 1+ pounds this morning. I went to the Y afterwork and did my walking. 2.2 miles in 35 minutes – no weights tonight.

Ended up getting there later than planned as DS#2 called at the end of my work day. Unusual that he called and unusual he was so chatty! He’s been renting a room in someone’s basement for 18 months or so. Things aren’t going too well there of late and he feels they don’t respect his space / schedule, but are happy to take the rent. (He works an odd shift from 5p to 3a, with rotating days.) So now he’s on the hunt again. Anyone know of a rental space in the Marietta, GA area?

Nan – where do you live? We are in OTP in the Atlanta area. (Outside the perimeter, for those NOT from Atlanta!)

Nancy – Okanagan wine is wonderful. DH and I really enjoyed it when we visited BC.

Kate – I’m on a cusp, too! Almost into the 160s – someday soon, I think!

I stopped at the Racetrac this morning for some pumpkin spice coffee. Their decaf was full of coffee grounds, so I opted for regular. When I let them know about the decaf they ended up comping my coffee! Not at all what I intended, but such a nice surprise!

    Sweet dreams!

At least your Dad has you for a daughter that you are involved many eldery have no one or people in their lives who just don't care. i know its easier said and done but take care of yourself. I am praying for you and your Dad.

@Kathy so sorry to hear that your foot is hurting

@Meg all I can say is Kids!! Hopefully you will get some great rest tonight and tomorrow will be easier.

Today was a good day. This is my last off day back to work tomorrow. So enjoy my dayoff. Able to get a few errands done and things ready for the work week. I was really hungry all day notice I stay under but didn't eat too many fresh foods either. The air quailty was really poor today lot of smoke in the air so went on a short walk with Bella than pulled out my old Richard Simmons video. It was ok my ankle didn't act up so it was good. I haven't weight in yet plan on waiting till next weekend but not to sure if I can wait.

But I did go shopping for new pants still in the obese sizes but down to next size group. The others were too big. So yay I can't wait for the day comes when i can finally shop in the regular sizes.

Welcome everyone wonderful group/thread very encouraging and supportive.

I know I have miss people so sorry that I have miss you will try better next time.

    Wishing everyone a good night.

    Evenin' all

Lin – Oh I am so sorry to hear about your Dad’s condition. Hopefully, someone else has some good information to help you. All I know about CDiff is from the news reports from breakouts in hospitals in Canada and you know how the news covers things.

Meg – poor old kitty, hope he’s okay. At his age I hope you’re giving him soft food now so he can gum it:. My house is pretty furry too, the cat isn’t too bad, but the heelers shed about a half a dog a day. Needless to say, I’m always vacuuming (does that count as exercise?):blushing:

Linda – I’m going to use that idea about brain swelling making me cranky – it sounds so much better than just being fed up with the world in general.

Barbara – yes the hike was for work, had to check out all the stream damage from the really high freshet we had in spring. Didn’t cause flooding but did cause a lot of trees to fall into the creek which might cause some backup and flooding next spring. I’m the CAO of a small town, so I have a pretty varied work life (Council meetings, staff direction, planning, subdivisions, building controls, taxpayer complaints, budgets, etc.etc.etc)

Liz – yay, good mechanics are hard to come by, give that man/woman a medal.:flowerforyou:

Mwheatcraft – I have to admit every time I climbed up or down that ladder I checked my footing twice. One of my Councillors took a fall cleaning his gutters last spring and was pretty much immobilized for a few months. I don’t want that – no no no, don't even put that thought out into the ether.

Tigress – roasted spiced seaweed sounds interesting. I love nori sheets so I’m going to look for the seasoned stuff next time I’m at Costco.

Anjonelll – the Hairy Bikers’ Diet Book – the title is fascinating…….

Robin – les chiens sont tres SPOILED!! What a great doghouse and enclosure – the chimney - do they have a fireplace too?

Stardancer – I miss the school clothes shopping trips with my daughters. My youngest was like yours , knowledgeable and good with the budget – my oldest, let’s not go there, but always fun.

YAY Kate – you can do it, one more smack with that hammer!!!! That wall will go, yes it will.

JB_2011 – your camping trip sounds wonderful (and breakfast sounded good too).

Nancy – where did you go for the dinner (chef’s menu and wine pairings). Not that I want the calories but I love to go out for a good meal when I’m in Kelowna.

Cindy – road trip with sisters sounds like fun. Now that you know you travel well together – hey road trips every summer…..

Wessecg – Yes, I’m pretty sure we all have a wide range of clothes sizes in our closets. I just kept saying they would fit again next year. Now if they fit they will be out of fashion anyway (well maybe not all of them, the classics usually transcend the years). And you know that ice cream you turned away from – I didn’t (oh the shame).:blushing:

BirdieM – thanks for the positive story and good on you for maintaining. 140 is great if you feel healthy and look good, that’s all that matters, not the number.

Well, it took forever to catch up on all of your posts – wow, I miss a day and you guys do 3 pages of posts!!!
Sunday turned out to be crazy, after the roofing was done, I decided to wash all the outside windows (guess I just love those ladders) and I have LOTS of windows. Then I decided to take down the hammocks and dismantle and store the lawn furniture, then I felt guilty about the inside cleaning I promised myself so I did the vacuuming and the floor washing and the bathroom and the bedding, and then the dog bedding. At the end of the day, I think I was up a whole day’s calories and almost too tired to eat (well not really, I ate dinner and then had ice cream too because it seemed like a waste to let those calories expire ).

After all that, MFP decided to act up on me and I couldn’t post or complete my day’s food log. Weird. So, I gave and gave myself a pedicure and manicure, and boy, did my hands need it. I was down on the scale, but who know if it will stay down (could have been the exercise or the salmon). Today I am stiff as all get out. Got to learn to pace these things out.

Time to go and make dinner. Hope all of you have a great evening tonight and a lovely Tuesday.

I am hurting. my baby girl found out that her BF was the scumbag I always knew him to be. Now a house, car and two dogs later she will be financially ruined and heart broken. I have cried all evening because I can't kiss her boo boo and make it all better.
They never warn us that our kids pain will effect us our whole lives. I feel so bad and so helpless.

okay so much for that pity party.

    Welcome back Birdie

Lila regarding the fireplace, J'aimerais. it would help when it gets cold and rainy but alas, non

    Much love to all,

:flowerforyou: Sundance, thanks for the info about the house sitter…..I’ll keep that information in mind…we were very impressed with the new house sitters…..they have been doing this stuff for seven years and seem very competent and interesting people…..they have been hired for the next ten months

:flowerforyou: Once again I want to sing the praises of “Happier at Home” by Gretchen Rubin…..there’s a chapter about dealing with all your accumulated stuff and another about managing time and not rushing about so much from project to project.

:flowerforyou: Barbara, my pedometer registers very few steps during line dancing…when I walk the dogs for two hours and register 10000 steps and then go to a two hour line dance class and register 2500 steps I know that it doesn’t recognize lateral movement, shuffles, rocks, or anything slow.

 Robin, le maison de chiens is darling

 I love parsnips cooked in homemade chicken or turkey soup.

 We have had cats for so long I don’t think people would recognize me if I weren’t covered with cat hair.

 Birdie, it’s so good to see your smiling face again and to hear that your maintenance continues to go well.

:flowerforyou: Lila, congratulations on finishing the roofing.

:flowerforyou: On Saturday we showed our dinner guests photos of our dogs when they were puppies and I saw myself in some of the photos and got a shocking reminder of what I looked like seven years and 70 pounds ago….I probably ate more moderately at dinner because of seeing the photos.

Gads! I just realized that people have been responding to my diary, but for some reason they've been going to my "spam" box which I don't check that often. I apologize to anyone.

Robin - the dog run and house is amazing! I can see Vince wanting to decorate it....lol He does BIG TIME decorating for Christmas and Halloween.

Gotta run to mahjongg. Haven't played in over a week.

glendalight - the play was good. It's amazing to see how much talent there is in our little community

Got up, did some yoga, took the items to the food pantry, came home and put things back in my trunk, bought gas, did an hour of extremepump, went to Aldi's to get the mushrooms, returned things at Target, went to WalMart, then bowled a bit. I came home and was really surprised, even in the rain, the electrician was here! Made brownies for Vince, just had a little bite of the dough, I surprised myself by wanting so little, then roasted the mushrooms, had dinner, went to one gal's house for mahjongg (I maj'd three times - I haven't played in over a week), now I'm home, finishing up here. Tomorrow I'll do Denise Austin's bootcamp DVD

barb - awesome about the workshop. You should be very proud. Yup, baby bella mushrooms for 97cents, that's why I really stocked up....lol

I was going to take some of this cantaloupe with me to mahjongg tonight, but I forgot. Well, I'll put it out tomorrow night at bunco. I also made orange oatmeal cookies and I have some of these shrimp tarts in the freezer. I want to clean out the freezer as much as possible and make new things

stardancer - I love to shop, only I don't power walk in the mall -- I more amble about...lol

Kate - congrats on the loss!

sally - I like to do most of my cooking for the week on Sat or Sun and then just reheat during the week.

Nancy - love that feeling of yours "I'm over, it's over". Woohoo shopping!!!

The gal whose house we went to to play mahjongg just came back from France and she made this tart thing. It was good, but I didn't eat the whole thing. I know it had goat cheese and tomatoes. You know what I wasn't real crazy about? The crust! That's something for me,

wessecg - fantastic on saying good bye to the super fat clothes. You're on your way now. Good job avoiding the ice cream and choosing yogurt.

Meg - I need a zumba class that is smaller, too. One other thing I find that really does not motivate me is when you have an instructor who constantly hoots and hollars and has the music so loud. Guess it's my age....lol But to me that is very DEmotivating. As a matter of fact, when this one gal teaches the extremepump class, I wear earplugs. I don't resist totally when I'm baking, but I do try to watch how much of it. Raw cookie dough (or cake dough) is my definite downfall. Once it's baked, I can have a little and be totally satisfied.

Lin - prayers for you and your dad

Lila - boy, you sure did a lot of cleaning! Bet your house sparkles now

Robin - I feel with ya about your daughter. That seems to be about the absolute hardest part of partenting, not being able to fix things.

Here's hoping everyone has a great evening.

Hello all, and happy Monday (really, Monday can be happy!)

My girls at school seem to be getting better at the fitness run - last week we did run 20 seconds, walk 40. Today we did run 25 seconds, walk 35 and I don't think they even noticed. More of them are running with me, and those who don't run with me are staying well ahead of me to avoid the stress. I'll have them running marathons by the time the year is over.

What with the fitness run (25 minutes) and my workout (75 minutes) I clocked up another hour and a half toward my 24 exercise hour goal. Tomorrow I have a session with Tia the Trianer, so that will be another long one.

Kathy, enjoy those chair exercises! :ohwell: What the heck.

Cindy, way to go :flowerforyou: one bite of honey bun and into the trash with the rest!

Wessecg, well done getting into the smaller jeans. :drinker: You’ll be down another size before you know it.

OH, yes, cake! Anjonelll – good for you resisting the last piece. Tomorrow I am going to throw the last of my B’day cake (at work) into the garbage without looking at it twice. It's stale anyway, but there are times when that would not stop me. :noway: I put it on the table on Friday with a sign that said “Please eat the cake” but there’s still a piece or two left. I think I’d have eaten it if I had time in the staff room today. Better get temptation behind me, as they say.

Yes, lentigogirl, I’d say you’ve got an NSV there “what used to be normal eating is over the top”. :drinker:

Meg, you made me laugh out loud with your suggestion that you could leave the smoke detectors dirty so you can see all the cute firemen  go you! (I don’t clean either!) I think “felines” for canines in cats.

Lin, I hope you get better news about your dad today. :flowerforyou: Good for you not diving into the food to relieve the worries – we know it doesn’t really help anyway.

Oh Polly, yes! My DH has put our bikes away on hooks on the CEILING on the garage. :ohwell: Not likely I’m ever going to be able to get mine down by myself. I’m glad to hear yours is now stored where you can get to it easily.

Lila, our dinner was at the Grand Hotel in Kelowna – a top end choice to celebrate a top end Dad! I can let you know about other good restaurants in Kelowna, though, let me know when you’re headed over there. I’ll bet the manicure & pedicure felt good. Salmon is on my menu too!

Oh Robin I’m so sorry to hear about your DH’s heartbreak. Nothing much we can do but listen and love.

Michelle, I would like to learn to play mahjong, how did you get started?

I’m off to check out the Hairy Bikers Cookbook on Amazon…

    Hasta pronto,

    Nancy

    September goals:
No bedtime snacks, no second helpings!
Get the routine chores done – no procrastination!
24 hours of exercise in the month. Total to date: 12.3 hours
Be a role model of healthy living for my students.

Stardancer7 Powershopping with DD, great burn!
Katie 3 pounds? Con VERY gratulations! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
Kackie, alas when I respond to so many, I'm not doing very well on the "Let it be" goal :ohwell:
wessecg Farewell forever :noway: super-fat pants. YAY!:drinker:
anjoneill hope your  cat feels better soon.
BirdieM so good to see you post again! Thanks for the "Just for today. . ." wisdom and your inspiration.
Laura I too depend on work to get me back on track... a benefit they don't even know they offer.
lentigogirl "Ready for normal eating" that IS an NSV! Hooray!:flowerforyou:
Meg consultation was a mix,:ohwell: reassuring they can get it all, a little scary:frown: that noses are more complicated than chins and that the incision could be a lot longer than I thought. Amazingly my somewhat gruff boss was extremely kind  and encouraged me to take plenty of time to recover, so my sick leave will combine with an already scheduled vacation. Added benefit: my co-workers will be spared the stitches, pirate scar  and black eyes :glasses: that will probably result. Woo hoo 2 weeks off in a row!
Polly our husbands must be soul brothers to Nancy's. I can't help but laugh at the image of wheeling a bike up and down dark and twisty stairs... thanks for the advance warning , I'll try to keep calm. I was afraid I'd have a hole in the side of my nose but Dr. said no, we close up our holes, but the skin could tighten and lift that side of the nostril, oh great, a permanent sneer. Just what I need .... NOT!
Lin my heart :brokenheart: goes out to you.
Jen You're right, 2nd hand good news is still good news!
Liz down to the next size group Hooray!!! you are on your way!:flowerforyou:
Lila you betcha vacuuming counts as exercise, aerobic exercise! A Chief Accounting Officer (?) who gets to survey riparian condition? A pretty varied work life indeed!
Oh Robin, how sad. At least your daughter has you to cry with.
Barbie thanks for the confirmation about pedometers and dancing. I'm sure you're right about the lateral movement.:grumble: Michele when I first read "orange oatmeal cookies" I had an image of the color of the oatmeal, not the flavor of the cookie...
Nancy what a great job you are doing with those girls. They don't know how lucky they are! My bicycle is on hooks in the ceiling too,:noway: is it any wonder I don't ride?

Gail, Nan, Sally, JB, Cindy, mwheatcraft, Tigress, Janie, DeeDee, read all your posts but too poope to reply any more.

    Hugs,

Barbara, the AHMOD who WILL be size 10 one day

September I resolve to be good to myself:
eat 7 servings fruits + veggies
invest 20 minutes in SWSY or on the mat and 10 minutes decluttering
moderate to 1 glass wine per night (Sat + Sun allow 2 beers/day)
figure out this darned HRM and uset it at least once
    smile, don't yell...

:embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed: Confession time :embarassed: :embarassed: :embarassed:

Last night I went out straight from work to a "leaving do" went to an Indian restaurant and had of all things a chicken Korma - not sure how many calories were in it but I'm guessing a lot. My excuse is that I don't like hot curry, but I should have asked the waiter for something mild but low calorie. The Korma was delicious, but I'm kicking myself now. oh well who wants to eat the rest of the week anyway

Today is a new day, so I will drink plenty of water, move around as much as possible and make better choices :flowerforyou:

Sorry, will have to cut this short, hubby has just got up and reminded me of the time ( I think he really wants me to make him his breakfast before I go to work!!)

We are also a house where you get the odd cat/dog hair in your food, mind you it always seems to be hubby who complains about it, maybe me and DD don't notice

Have to dash have a good day everyone and prayers for those who's family are ill and also for those who's sons are overseas in dangerous places.:heart:

    Good morning ladies

I am afraid I haven't had time to catch up since my weekend away, but will try to read all the posts this evening when I get home from work.

My weekend away for the hen party was fun. Even the male strippers were entertaining! Mainly because it was more of a cabaret with an excellent drag queen acting as host(ess). The hen (bride to be) was a little out of her comfort zone, but did very well and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Afterward we had a VIP lounge at a nightclub, which was great fun - our own bodyguard and waiters. I couldn't do much dancing because of my back and knee, but still managed to 'party' until two am. How different it would have all been if I was still drinking alcohol!!

I'll admit to being very glad that it's behind me and we can now look forward to the actual wedding next month.

I must get some work done, but I hope everyone is doing well.

    Love to all.

Glad to read the posts this morning… dropping by here is a great way to begin or end the day!
Birdie….great to see you back and hear your story.
    Meg…what a day you had!
Lin…. My thoughts are with you and your dad. What a great deal of stress.
Jen…. I think I will try to cup of tea after dinner or brushing my teeth to “finish the day” strategy. I get in trouble if I eat at night.
    DeeDee…Hope your headache is gone.
Gail…. Salmon…funny- I spent the day with my niece yesterday and we had salmon in a salad for lunch and I was down about a pound today (hope it lasts)!
Robin…. I feel for your daughter and for you. So hard to watch life unfold and feel so helpless. I think it is harder when the kids “grow up”.
Barbie…Thanks for the book recommendation. I think I really need it!
Michele..what a schedule you have! Hope bunko is un!
Barbara…loved your description of the doctor’s visit. Permanent sneer….no way!
Viv…. I really don’t know how to order Indian food. We are supposed to be going with friends (one is a Weigh Watcher) so hopefully she’ll guide me. Hope you enjoyed the night!
    Amanda…sounds like a fun weekend.

Yesterday was a wonderful day with my niece. It is so neat to see how my relationships with my god-daughters grows over the years. They are all in their 20’s now (20- 34) and each one is such a gift. I love when they are all together (which doesn’t happen often). They call each other god-sisters and there is a bond that is so great to be a part of. When I am with them, I find there is a moment when I picture then at 4 or 5 years old and it cracks me up.

    Have a great day!

Happy Tuesday good-news-day! We're in for another very warm, sunny day which is certainly good news. My scale went down a half pound, so that's good, too. Have to be diligent and chip away at the remaining 1.5 lbs that mysteriously showed up before the weekend of camping. Before camping! I must have had a little too much fun last week.

I admit that it's my own darn fault when the scale goes the wrong way. It's a fact that I'm prone to overeating and sometimes have a very difficult time saying no to the snacks and second helpings. I have to be very careful to eat a big enough late lunch that will hold me well into the evening when I'm done teaching. Otherwise I find myself in deep doo-doo when I get home and end up gobbling down dinner and then some. I might have to start taking a snack to work, maybe string cheese since it's easy to eat quickly and doesn't require dental floss afterwards. Most days I don't have a break between students, so I'd have to snack on the fly. Ha! That certainly puts a new meaning to the phrase, and now I have no appetite whatsoever.

I was out the door to the track at 6:55 yesterday morning, walked super fast for 40 minutes, like zoooom! Clocked in at 4.5 mph, close as I could get to running without breaking my stride. Hips and legs feel a little sore this morning, but I'll be ok once I get out there and do it again in a few minutes.

Brought home about 4 gallons of tomatoes from the garden yesterday, and dozens of serrano and jalapeno peppers. Salsa making might be on the agenda this morning if I have enough onions. I usually put up about 12 pints, thank goodness for food processors.

Love love love reading everyone's posts! Wishing everyone a beautiful day, and thanks for being here!
