Just checking my topics, I was having internet trouble and wasn't for sure if I posted yesterday...but I did....

Missou, I am so jealous with your massages....I have a right quad that has been killing me the last couple of days, not sure why, I must of tweeked it sometime....I sure could use a rub down..., sorry to hear that you have an infection in your toe, that sounds ouchy!

I'll check in later...everyone keep up the great work, week 1 almost complete!

I did P90X Plyo today so that is 5/7 and I burned 500 cals.
    Verda

Verda, thanks for helping me out with posting your calories burned, my HRM isn't the most accurate so I like to verify somewhat. Do you mind me asking what type you have? My is a Sportline, it had me at a 650 calorie burn for plyo, I'm 5 ' 9" and I weigh 216# at the moment...I wondered if that was to high....but it might be close

    Good morning everyone!!!

Tomorrow will be the last day of week 1. Who will get their points??? There should be no shovelling today for me. Back to the training room and to the cardio workout. It should feel could.

Debra, have you tried to stretch your quads in different angles. That way you can work the different muscles. Remember also that with the massages comes the painful problems. Between you and I, I would prefer to be in your situation...:laugh:

Today is not the best one, I woke up with a migraine... One thing good, the toe feels better  I am having a soup right now, since my stomach doesn't feel so good either. Comes with the migraine :grumble: After the soup, I'll try to rest a little more, Maybe the pain will subside a little. Later this afternoon, I will go do my training.

    Take care of yourselves!!!

6/7 for me complete ..Day 3 of 5 day ab, p90x shoulders and arms and 41 minutes on the elliptical.

Missou, I must of been reading your mind, cus I did some extra long stretches today when I finished the elliptical and my quad feels a lot better...The last time I did the elliptical, I did it backwards for a few intervals, that must of been wher the soreness came from. Hope your feeling better!

I wimped out and only shoveled a path from the driveway to the front door and from the back door to the hot tub but it still took 20 min. I also did 30 min of low impact aerobics so that makes me 6/7.

Can I jump in too. I actually have started already. My new plan starting the 1st is to do 1 hour of cardio everyday and this will keep me accountable. I've exercised 6/7. Are we supposed to put how long? If so I'll go back and look at my diary for each day.
Today I did Walk Away the Pounds 4 mile (53 min) and I will do another 4 before I go to bed.

    Thanks!
I just finished the bike for 45 minutes.

  • Missou, sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope you feel better. Thanks for starting this challenge. It has pushed me to work out on days I didn't feel like it.

I am 6/7, I did pilates, strength training, and walking.

I was excited to find out there are ice skating rings in San Antonio. I've always wanted to learn to ice skate but never have. I am looking forward to trying it.

    Good morning everyone!!

I feel a lot better today, hurray!!! Since I can not eat when I have a migraine, my stomach just won't take food, I was not able to do my exercises  I hate migraines!!! Lucky you could fight it Verda :flowerforyou: I am still at 5/7 :grumble: :grumble: I wanted to go do something yesterday evening, but I wasn't up to it  Good thing today is a new day, but I am sad since I will not get my point this week :frown: That's life...

Welcome Ivykivy and Msarro!! I have updated the table for you two. Msarro, did you do any exercises this past week?

So far, 7 of you are working on their first point of the year. One last day and you'll get it!!! Don't give up!!!

Since my stomach is feeling better, I will go to my training room today. My head is not 100% yet, but my stomach is. I will go get myself some eggs to start the day and it will feel good.....

    Take care!!!

missou glad to hear you're feeling a bit better.

I am officially 7/7 this morning. I completed week 6 of C25K training and am happy to have made my first 25 min run plus 5 min warm up and 5 min cool down. Tonight, I plan to get a quick 30 min of low impact aerobics in between clients. I am starting to see a young athlete that has school and practice so treatment times will be in the evening for the next 6 or 8 weeks:grumble:

7/7, Woo Hoo week one down. I got up and I did 90 minutes of Yoga. I'm not a big fan to start Yoga, but I always feel better when I'm done!
  • Sorry :( lol I did not exercise these past two days. I just walked a lot but I don't think it counts.

Hubby does not want to take the latin dance classes for now, maybe in spring time.

    I can wait, no problemo!!
  • Walking in the city and in the stores.. like yesterday, my ipod said I did like 3500-4000 steps. I don't feel like I've exercised because I wasn't exhausted.

According to the "rules" of this challenge, walking a lot counts. So it will be your decision, do we count the last 2 days or not?

I did my Insanity Max Cardio Conditioning and burned 460 calories. That would be 7/7 !! Is it ok for others to still join? Someone is asking me how, what, when and where on my 305 days in 2009 and I thought maybe this would help them?
    Verda
  • No, to be fair with everyone else I don't want it to count. So if I do cardio today, it will add to 5/7. I think it would be better if the total could be on 365 and not 52. So that each day we exercise count.. no ?

Yes Verda it is still possible to join our group. If the person did her workout everyday since the 1st, she will get her point of the week.

Tom, I think that getting a point for a week when one has exercised every day of that week is more challenging. I lost a point because I was sick yesterday. Today, I did not do as much as I wanted because of the pain in my knee, but it still counts to me. In my book and according to the specifications of my challenge, you did workout at least 6/7 since I don't know about today. If you feel you need to do more to deserve that 6/7, it is your decision. You have to know that I have been through a lot and even if I use to be a gymnast, my body cannot perform like it use to. To me, just riding a horse can bring a lot of pain and last year, I could not do it. Now, thanks to the exercises I have been doing since last March, I can. I feel a little pain afterwards and I do need a good massage, but I can do it. I hope you understand.

So I went on my Ab King Pro and placed it so the ab work would be more challenging  I was 5 minutes on the rower and 1 minute and the cycle and I had to stop because of my knee. Hubby will work on it tonight so I can do more tomorrow. I am at 6/7 and I do not get my weekly point :frown: Hopefully, next week will be better.

Tomorrow is a new week, let's go everyone, we can do it!!!
