Guess I would have been my car. But then I also bought that with my daughter in mind, safety and reliability and all that. So second thing I guess would be my computer.0

$1,500 hair extensions. I hated them and had them removed a month later. I also spent almost $500 on my senior prom dress. It was gorgeous, and it was from one of those places where you register your dress so no one else at your prom can buy the same one. It was yellow and gold (think beauty and the beast) and the outside was layers and layer and LAYERS of chiffon with hand beading around the edges... it ripped. The entire bottom ripped apart like I had been attacked by dogs before we even got to pictures. I couldn't even believe it, I was so upset!
ETA: I was just thinking of things that were ridiculous. I did purchase a new car a few years ago and I'm working my way through school for the second time which will add up to like $30,000 but I consider those both good purchases lol0 -

Probably my Alexander McQueen scarf at £165.

Condo in downtown Chicago. Then I realized how lonely and boring it is to live there. I still own it, but now I live in a foodie neighbordhood.
Aside from real estate, a Louis Vuitton purse. I'll just say I could've paid a YEAR of college.0 -
Other than cars & the house probably my Les Paul.0

I'd lost my ring after not being able to wear it for a few months while I was pregnant and hubs at time wouldn't buy a new one .
11 years went by and no ring so for my 40th birthday I bought a stunning diamond ring for myself! I did feel guilty about buying it but now I'm glad that I did. Still wearing it.0 -
this iPhone 5 wasn't cheap either.0

I bought myself an Ipad last year, that was probably it. I did get my first actual new car this year, and I let my husband talk me into getting an upgraded model by telling me that the extras were my college graduation gift (got my BSM in August). Most of the time though I am a bargain hunter. My parents gave me cash for graduation and there were these diamond earrings I really wanted, but they were over $500. I waited until they were on sale, I had a discount, they were running a special if you used your store card, and I had loyalty cash. I ended up getting them for under $90.0

My running shoes are the most expensive thing I've purchased for myself; but it is the gift that keeps on giving!0

Does my mortgage count?
As for a smaller item - I spent $200.00 on a gorgeous ring I bought in Mexico for myself0 -
Lol...
Pre husband and son, a LV purse $750 and a pink 6mm $400ish!
Post husband and son...hmmmm, I have no clue. I've bought new clothes totaling around $100 at one time!?! Hahaha, how life changes.0 -

A car... after I graduated college and landed my first job in my professional career. Don't laugh. I bought a Chevy Lumina. I was a practical sort of kid. If it was now, I would buy myself a nice sports car. (Meh. Maybe not. hehe)
And then more recently I bought invisiline (braces) for myself... before all the kids needed braces and eyeglasses! LOL0 -
An acoustic guitar. A really good one that I fell in love with as soon as I touched it. Now I have to practice and earn the right to have it.0

Of course a house and car are a given...what I consider my biggest splurge was a very special diamond ring for my 50th birthday.0
-
I bought a Jeep, but my wife drove it more than me, it was fun.0
-
you people are rich :P
i guess an iphone.0 -
My laptops $700 each. Kids broke the first one so I had to buy a second one. Technically I shared the last one with my husband after his crashed and this one is both of ours, so idek if that really counts. After that the most expensive thing I've ever bought for myself would have to be shoes. And even the most expensive pairs were only $800

An Yves St. Laurent Muse bag which I later sold on Ebay and made a killing.0
