I am cooking chicken and dumplings in mine now.
Very simple
1 boneless chicken breast
1/2 c cream chicken soup
2/3 c frozen green beans
Seasonings to your taste
Cook on high about 4 hours. Add in one refrigerator canned biscuit. Cut in small pieces. If needed add a litlle water or chicken borth if you want. Cook another hour you have chicken and dumplings at about 350 calories.0 -

we don't have air conditioning in our house so I try to use my slow cooker as much as possible in the hot months!
also, this recipe is GREAT http://southernfood.about.com/od/crockpotpotroast/r/r71221b.htm
but I usually use less potatoes and more carrots and I add mushrooms. My husband thought it was great, and if you use a lean cut of tri tip the calories are totally reasonable!0 -

Just what I need. My gas was turned off because of issues with the landlord (long story), so I can't use my oven or stove. I need crockpot and microwave recipes.0

Instead of the sour cream, try a better Greek yogurt. "Greek gods" is a brand here in Texas and I'm particularly fond of the taste. It's very similar to sour cream and less than most of the "low fat" sour creams at the market.0

I was just talking to a few coworkers about finding good Crock Pot recipes! This is awesome. I have a lot of activities in the evenings after work so it's great for me to be able to throw something in the Crock in the morning so that it's done when we all get home.0
