I'm in Seattle, so it's fairly nice out at the moment. Keep in mind, though, that this is not a very strict challenge; more of a 'get there by any means' type thing. Treadmills, stationary bikes, heck, if you wanted to use a calculated daily mileage from a pedometer you wear while walking around all day, would all count. This is an individual journey in a loose group format. Don't put it off because it's cold. Find a way.0 -

397 miles... a few miles back, a deep ravine held a waterfall. Then we came to the sudden cliff into the valley of Rivendell. We rode slowly down the zig-zag path. Pines cling to the upper slopes, beech and oak below. Now we lead the ponies across the narrow bridge over the upper Bruinen and reach the ‘Last Homely House’ in Rivendell.0
