Have to say worse waste of three days of my life. It was poorly written and not realistic. I have read better that was free. Read it because two of my friend's husbands encouraged mine to have me read it. Unfortunately for him, it did not have the results for him that it had for them. I told him that was because I had a complicated thought pattern. Touched me down there and oh gosh, just didn't do it for me.

I read it but I didn't have high expectations for it being some literary masterpiece. You have to take it for what it is. I've read better erotica - but if you were looking for a way to disconnect and fill your brain with emptiness then go for it. Same thing as watching some of the dumb movies. Not expecting Oscar quality but just need something to take your mind away from the day-to-day stresses.:flowerforyou:

Indifferent. I read the first; was unimpressed, so didn't continue with the series. I wanted to see what the hype was about but ended up disappointed.

Best two weeks of my life too! I hope they come out with more books or another series just like it and just as main stream!

It wasn't my cup of tea. I borrowed the books because I'm not a huge fan of erotica novels so I thought I was going to find it offensive. I was neither offended or turned on...I actually found myself skimming through parts of the book to see if the love story picked up and caught my interest. I didn't finish the first book, I googled the plotline, and asked my coworker (who loved the series) how the other 2 books went. I have other books that I want to read and I don't want to stick with this to find out I still think it's just okay.

I have one thing to say...

There is better written, kinkier, and best of all FREE stuff online...

This. I write better and kinkier stuff myself, too. I've always said that if you're going to write about something, you have to have lived some part of it, or you'd better have a good imagination. She clearly has neither....

Just had the 50 Shades series given to me....Not sure if I should read it...if it's as hot as some say..it'll just lead to frustration.

^^THIS!!!^^ aside from the steamy sex the lack of a story line left me very frustrated.

Halfway through the first book. Reads like the Twilight series with alot of anatomy and sexual phrases thrown in. I'm not sure yet.......

Heard bad reviews so it piqued my curiosity thinking How bad could it be? Got the playaway version. Made it about halfway. DULL!!

I am a lifelong reader, and I think I can safely say by now that I am a fair judge of good writing and an all-around good book. That being said, I have NEVER read a more pathetic attempt at literature, in my entire LIFE. The characters were underdeveloped and vapid, the storyline was ludicrously fantastical and unrealistic, and the writing itself was juvenile and repetitive, repetitive, repetitive, repetitive, repetitive, repetitive, repetitive, repetitive, repetitive, repetitive, repetitive....well, you get the idea.

Garbage. GARBAGE! I'd rather read nothing but Twilight for the rest of my life than ever have to read anything that bad ever again.

What do you expect from FAN FICTION????

Not many people seem to know this was originally TWILIGHT FAN FICTION!! Then it was picked up and changed to remove everything related to Twilight.

Seriously.....how could ANYONE like this.....I've read some of it, and it's so poorly written it's like a teenager with a hard-on picked up a pen and wrote it.

lol you beat me to it.. oops
I have a friend who writes fan fic and is a brilliant writer.

    HATE!!

I read and I write GOOD PORN. the kind that is well-written, edited and (even in a fantasy setting) has realistic sex. 50 Shades had NONE of that.

    Vomitous trash.

    ^^
If it was well written and less violent, yeah, it would have been a good book.

i don't mind BDSM stories, but when the author can't be bothered to google for so much as a SAFE WORD, then NO!

if you want good BDSM porn, go read the Sleeping Beauty series by Anne Rice, writing as A. N. Roquelaure

YES! Awesome Books! Love The Sleeping Beauty series!
