    I think your biggest danger would be from the Burt's Bees chapstick. It's made form beeswax which will still have traces of honey in it. Honey being sugar will cause an insulin spike and cause your body to hold onto its fat. Even though the quantity is low it is being introduced into your system transdermally so it's an instant shot of sugar to your bloodstream rather than a slower absorption through your digestive tract.

    Gaah!!! Jeez, I hope that's not true! But it does seem logical....

    Make sure you do not apply any after 9pm at night - it will turn immediately into fat and make your muscles drop off!

    OK, Now I can tell you're just making fun of me. That's not nice. I'm really struggling to make all the right choices on this journey, and I don't need negative nancies teasing me for trying to think outside the box!

    I really think you're over thinking this if you're worried about the amount of calories in chapstick...focus on smart eating, portion control, and moving your body and you'll be on the right track.

    i'm loving this thread - it's hilarious! While running on saturday i swallowed a bug - should i have logged it under snacks? sorry. some people are just too serious about weight loss.

    I hate when that happens! It happens more often when I'm biking than running- but I'm a vegetarian and I wonder if that breaks my 19 year streak?! I try to put it out of mind though since I can't control it. I've read that everyone swallows some really offensive number of spiders while sleeping, too.....

    Bugs are protein....Just saying...very little fat...no carbs

    Apparently the amount of spiders is a myth.

    i heard if you drive by mcdonalds or burger king and the smell of the food is in the air you have to add those calories to your daily count

    and instantly doubles the calories from chapstick
