Calories: I made it to 1370!! (My new personal goal on days I work out hard is 1365 minimum)
Exercise: 30 min stationary bike, 5 minute brisk walk, 30 minute run (c25k w7d1 +5min)
    Water: 13 cups so far
Sleep: Last night I got about 6.5 hours (better than usual!)
Proud: Still very happy about the running. I guess it's officially not a fluke now that I've run well over 20 minutes straight 3 times. I struggled on my run a little tonight and I honestly think it's because I ate crap (2 pieces pizza) and drank beer yesterday. I'm also very happy I ate 1370 good quality calories today which is about 150 more than usual. My protein intake was pathetic yesterday (51g) and protein is definitely what seems to affect me the most in terms of how strong I feel. Got it up to 85g today so that's much better. But, man, those 150 extra calories were super filling. Feeling like I may have eaten a little too much at dinner even though I did want to get all those calories in. :ohwell:

Well, I had a couple of oranges today, Then I was thinking I put 1 measurement for my whole wheat pasta and I ate that much when I checked I realized I had put a lesser amount. Now I am over on my cals by 79. :frown: Thats irritating. Oh, and then hubby comes home sick and can't walk. I am too much of a fraidy CAt to walk in the dark. I would have extra cals if he would have walked with me. At least I did do my pilates and tomorrow we are adding a workout.

I also forgot to put sleep: 8 hours:bigsmile:

She dreads school and i know not all kids love it...but somewher ein the middle would be good.

Well, yeah, she dreads school because the poor thing is always in trouble for something. I'd insist on the counselor doing something about those visits. The persistent parent gets what she needs! Don't let up, lildeb. Call EVERY SINGLE DAY until she has her first visit. I'll email you more info on what we send to parents at our school whose kids are needing counseling sessions. Don't give up, lildeb! We're here for you if you need to cry or vent! :flowerforyou:

    check in:

cals: great! Over 2K but under my 2400 max.
    water: 64
exercise: my knees have been killing me, but I am forcing myself to get on the bike after I log out for 40 mins.
proud: I passed up a brownie today. & But more  than  LOL
sleep: last night, not enough - I never sleep well on Sunday nights. Tonight, well - I still need 40 mins of bike plus deal with the aggressive kitten for at least 30 mins., so sleep will not be good tonight. I just got back from a rehearsal, so things will be in overtime tonight.

Thanks...if they are too busy i am taking her to an outside conselor , if they get around to doing it fine, but i think we need some help...maybe for me and hubby too to how to deal with her. She came home today with two assignments with "0" on them for not putting her name on one and the other they were supposed to write what they learned from a video, and she just said she didn't learn anything...going to take it one day at a time and see where we end up...this can't go on for another 11 years because I will oh i will go insane.

On the young one side today though...she peed in the potty...i know that doesn't seem to exciting but it is too me. She is starting to go, she has gone a few times at home and some at school...Those of you with potty training children know how excited i am about this.

    I didn't do good today :(

    Cals over - 500
    exercise - nada
    water - 2 cups
proud - not so much today.

TOM is lurking anyday now, i got this head/chest junk..uggg..

Guess i gotta go to bed to get my full hrs of sleep, at least then maybe i can do one thing right today ...hoping the girls sleep till i go wake them up tomorrow.

    Hi All!

Been gone today, so I will read that posts in the morning. I wanted to be in bed by 9:00 tonight but maybe 9:30.

Calories: yes didn't eat extra exercise calories
Water: close, not sure if I got it all
    Exercise: YES! skiing
Sleep: 7 hours was NOT near enough last night
Proud: I did well estimating my calories today with not knowing what my options would be.

    Good Night All...
  • Checking in for 1/24/10 - off to a good start!
    Calories - Just under
    Water - over, hooray!
Exercise - 15 minute walk with our housemate
Solanda - I need to start refering to Beth as our 'housemate' that sounds much better than boarder, renter, psuedo-child LOL! Right now she's downstairs roasting marshmallows over the fire... A 26 year old math grad student who's been renting a room from us for over a year and feels about as much like family as anyone could!

What's awesome about that is our housemate's name is also Beth. :)

I'm a fraidy-cat to walk in the dark at night. However, I have discovered that most boogeymen don't wake up at 4:30 a.m., so if I must walk in the dark, it must be in the morning, preferably with one of the dogs, but the dog is optional. Wave at the officer as he drives by, he's tired and thinks your nuts, and wear pink if possible. What's more innocent than a middle aged, "softly built" woman wandering around in the dark in pink with her dog? Criminals will FLEE from your insanity.
  • For 1/25/10
Calories - Under by a lot.
    Water - over
    Exercise - none
    7 hours almost exactly

Proud of - my beloved husband gave me a website as an early birthday present; we're working on formatting now, but I'm very happy with the results.

Happily, I've already gotten my walk in for this morning. Unfortunately I only slept 6 hours, but I'm trying!
    Have a great day, ladies!

Welcome Jenn! Every day we check in and tell if we met our calories (over/under) if we drank at least 64oz of water, if we got in at lease 30 minutes of exercise (or what every you did get in) and this week we're adding a "sleep" section to say if we got at least 7 hours of sleep. Then we list one thing we're proud of

Other than that we check in and chat and help keep each other motivated!

    Hi Jenn! Welcome!

Lildeb- I can NOT wait until my son learns to go to the potty!!! He is only 14 months right now but I am going to start trying with him at 18 months, I know its early but I want to at least introduce the concept to him. I will NOT have another child until he is out diapers! I hear boys are harder to train than girls...gee cant wait! **sense the sarcasm** Congrats!!

As far as BF is concerned nothing really got resolved. At least it doesnt look like we are going to break up, but things are very tense. I am just so proud that I still did my excercise and ate properly. I did some kickboxing and just imagined his face when I was punching, it really helped! hahaha:tongue::laugh:
  • I only lost a half of a pound :( Ever since I lost the 13lbs the rest seems to come off so slow :( I thought the normal was 1-3 lbs a week, but I can't manage to lose more than a half of a pound :( discouraging!

I did better losing weight just changing my food habits & counting calories than I am from starting to exercise.

She has been sitting at home for liek 2 second for last few months, and refused like trantrum refused to go int here at day care. She has gone now a few times at home and at school..they say that she will go in there and cry sitting on the toliet and then stop crying and go...yesterday she made ugly faces but then went...but at least she is trying now , she is getting better each week.

Once she is potty trained she gets to move to the bigger class more of a pre-school class kinda, but with older kids (she is 3 and in there with a long younger kids), maybe beeing around alot of kids her age will help her speech some and they will start focusing more on learning things than they are in the class she is now.

So far i am on track for eating..i feel like crud probably worse than yesterday trying to stay away from snacking today..i jsut got my orange for my morning snack hoping i keep it up..

Lildebbie- POtty training will happen just keep being consistent. My girls were all potty trained by 10 months but my sisters children are still potty training and her kids are 8,4,and 2.(of course the 8 year old is)My point is children know when there ready just keep working with them. You are doing a great job.

You may also want to take her to a urologist because my neice had the same problem peeing the bed and crying when she went potty and it turned out she has urinary tract infections and had to be put on preventative medicine for it.

Hey JennG, glad you decided to come check us out. Welcome :flowerforyou:

Cris, glad that you did so well yesterday. I am sure things are going to work out between you and the bf. By the way my son is 4 yrs old.

lildeb, you are doing good with your girls just keep it up someday they will be smart mouth teenagers and you'll miss those days of potty training (maybe not:laugh: ) my kids are 16 all the way down to 4 yo. I fit in the mommy with young kids and the mother with teens. I love it all!!!!

Jerzeebabie, you have to just keep going. I know that it is discouraging to have the weight loss slow down but it WILL come off. Check your inches you may be losing there as well. I know that right now I weigh a couple of pounds more than I did before Christmas. YET, a pair of pants I could barely button back then fit me perfect now.

This might be a dumb question but when I log my calories MFP gives me the calories, fat, and protein that will be consummed or have been, but it doesnt tell my sodium. I've seen some of you mention you went over on sodium...I dont even know what sodium level Im supposed to stay in....please help?

She only crys when she is at school...i think it is more she is just being a butt head than an issue of it hurting...if it was just that but since the week before she was throwing the same fit outside of the bathrooms.

She never cries at home and goes..

I am hoping she gets potty trained and is just done with it ..i have soo many issues with my 6 yr old with potty during the day and at night only dealing with 1 with that would be a great improvement.

    Check in

Calories: over by about 330 and DID eat sugar - that includes my sparse ex. calories
    Exercise: yoga with my grandsponsees*
    water: Under, too much caffiene!
Proud: back on the trail, proud to be a member of this group, proud that I did yoga with grandsponsees even though I was a bit afraid to go

*we used to meet on Mondays to study the 12 traditions in the 12 step program I am in. It is my sponsee in the 12 step program and her sponsees. they are a sweet group and after we finished the 12 trads at a meeting I wasn't at, they decided to keep meeting and have one of the people teach us yoga. So I have done yoga before but being a bit out of shape was afraid to do it with a nonprofessional teacher in front of my friends. But I did it!
