Anyways...im now in charge of the snack counter at my youth group....meaning i get out the cookies, pop, and chips every week. And then i clean it all up afterwards. Therefore im tempted by food for around 30 mins. and all i want to do is eat it. Also for the youth group i bought two boxes of girl scout cookies today...they will come to youth next Wed...which is good cuz that means i can only have one. But i still have yet another box of cookies going to be given to me tomorrow....and im going to want to eat them....thin mints...my favorite...
Maybe you could talk to the youth group coordinator about including some healthy snacks? If they don't want to, look up some statistics on overweight teens, and tell they they should be encouraging a positive healthy lifestyle for teens.
Not sure if I am going to lose anything this week. The scale has been up a few pounds this week so far (even with being on target for calories) I am going to keep an eye on my sodium more this week, and see if that helps.
I attempt my 25 min run Saturday...and am trying not to stress about it, but it will be very challenging!
We have a few healthy options but they always last the longest because nobody eats them...however cookies are gone that day and chips are gone within the second or third time we meet. There are only three high schoolers and the rest of them are middles schoolers ...im pretty sure they done want anything healthy.
Btw...i did eat half a box of thin mints in two days They said "eat me" ...also im going to the komets game tonight!! Wahoo! First time this season...i went alot last year.

it is very cold and rainy here uggg...not freezing so that is good. we have like no food and i don't feel like getting some so i am having trail mix. Figure it will give me some protein for the afternoon there was only a little in the bag so maybe a couple of servings.
I am soo excited, we are going to get my baby a dresser today..she needs one desperatly, in our old house she had a huge cloet and shelfs in it so we used that as her dresser., so since we moved here i have a hanging thing with shelfes but it is breaking as not meant for lots of clothes. I found a used one for 100.00 and i think it will work.
my mom is getting my girls tomorrow at 2:30 ish...i can't wait I do love them an all, but nice them to go to nana!!!!!0 -

Rororosie, you did the right thing by apologizing to her. You can't do more than that. I also think calling her once a week just to say Hi is fine. You do not have to put a guilt trip on your self. My feelings on the boots is if she did not like the one pair she got for Christmas she could return them and add HER OWN money to upgrade them to uggs. I do not blame you for being upset about that.

I'm going with my Thursday weight because I'm either retaining water or I ate an extra 17,500 calories at the 'Going Away' party I went to last night. The fourth member of our department to leave in six months had her last day today. We gathered for a few drinks. I had budgeted a bottle of wine and half a pizza - I'm not sure how to count the calories because I have lots of fuzzy memories. I do know that I stuck to red wine. I also know that I eh hem... did not digest all that I consummed - if you get my drift... :sick: :sick: :sick: :sick: :sick: :drinker: :sick: :sick: oops.... But I'm pretty sure either way that I did NOT eat 17,500 calories:happy:
I cried when I got to work today. I have two managers that make my life very difficult - they make all of our lives very difficult. I think my being hung over and not exercising this morning didn't help but I couldn't stop crying for about an hour. My boss was almost human to me...0 -

Marisama44 - please don't skip the gym! I didn't get to work out yesterday or today and I haven't felt this depressed... I don't even know. I guess I have never hit bottom this deep and this fast ever before. I'm not bipolar but this morning I woke up sad and I've been crying and unfocused all day. The only thing (besides a horrible work situation) I can blame this on is lack of exercise. It's like I have the coping skills of an exhausted two year old! (or a man). (jk) (kinda)0 -

Momma2four - Yes I know, I was just sulking. and I'm ashamed that I gained weight but maybe I'll just blame it on TOM or water retention and move on :grumble:

mstahl - yeah that's my problem today too. Irritating things kept piling up on me. I want to go have a cry, though I susspect this is probably because my TOM is scheduled next week... :blushing:

Sorry wanted to read and reply more, but my day is getting away from me so bad.

Under calories yesterday (almost too under)
Exercise: 40 minutes walkie with some hiking in the walk
Water: so-so still need to up this
Proud: that I took a walk and ate a think fruit bar instead of a candy bar... this was initially just because the candy machine wouldn't take my car but if I did really persist I could've found change... i took it as a sign and went for the HEALTh instead of the CANDY
Sleep: slept a full night sleep, still not caught up from earlier but feelin better
today I walked for 1 hour and 10 minutes and most of it was hiking, but that's really for tomorrow's check in... I just had a nice break in the middle of the day with no meetings so I wanted to see how long the loop would take me.
It's a fabulous walkie with a great view.
Ending the week at work on a high note -- finished or moved along in a major way several projects, got praise from my boss today...
Going to probably see my dating guy for a bit tonight but insisting on going home early to rest and so I can get up early and clean house cuz it is DRIVING ME CRAZY so no staying up til 2 or 3 or 5 am. for ME tonight
our real date will be tomorrow night and then I can stay up as late as i want and make up sleep Sunday IN A CLEAN HOUSE

:laugh: yes it is unlikely that the healthy snack idea will be popular...
maybe eventually you can give up your role as snack person and try another role as you go along... someone else will be happy to get the snack provider role and you might try a more creative role as you continue to grow and change -- there are other service things you can do for your group when you are ready for a change, in the mean time, keep working through the tempatation as best you can and MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVE FUN AT THE GAME... what sport is it?

Rororosie: Thanks for sharing the information about your music experiences. I love music but am not talented in it. I think it's amazing that you're pursuing your passion. You're right, it's never too late to follow one's dreams!
Here are my stats for yesterday 1/28/2010:
Calories: Way under
Water: 40 oz.
Exercise: None, unless you count shopping and trying on a ton of clothes.
Sleep: 6 hours (I'll make it up this weekend)
Proud: That I cleaned out my closet and got rid of all of the size 16s and several of the 14s that are not flattering to my body shape!
My current weight is 197.4, so I have a 0.504% weight loss this week (1 pound).
Last night, I went shopping for new bras and ended up buying three! I went down from a 40D to a 38D (yay!). I also found great deals on thermal underwear, gloves and workout pants. Woohoo! Afterwards, I cleaned out the closet and go rid of two garbage bags full of clothes and gave my mom some clothes that are now too big for me. My sister also cleaned out her clothes and I got three pairs of jeans and a sweater from her that are now too big. It was so much fun; like shopping at home!

WoW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been gone all day and you ladies get busy. I love it though!! TOM showed up this afternoon. Can you imagine that!!! I actually had a 1.6 weight loss this morning in spite of TOM!!!! Last night before I went to bed (I know I am nutty) I drank like 5 glasses of water because I wanted to make sure that I was all flushed out for this mornings weigh in. calories: great and great! ... boy it's been awhile since I could say that ... I'm at 3 days in a row, so hopefully I'm getting my motivation back on track and will see some movement on the scale
exercise: great and great again ... 1 hour at the Y each day for step & turbo kick

Ok well if I am the biggest loser this week and everyone is ok with that here is your challenge: NO USING THE SCALES UNTIL FRIDAY!!! Focus on how you feel and look.Report back everyday something you love about yourself ,also I would like for everyone to pay close attention to there sodium this week we will be trying to keep our sodium level between 1500mg and 2000mg nothing higher than this a day.Sodium helps retain water and it proven that Americans eat way to much sodium and for us ladies we don't need help retaining water.I hope everyone likes this challenge.0
