    That's not really the whole thread stereotyping. Some people have generalised and I think they've been held to account. If you want to call one particular post or poster out, do so. You're generalising about everyone on this thread being sexist and/or ageist. Only a few people have done that. That is not the thrust (see what I did there with the sexy innuendo) of this thread.

    I think most young guys like the conquest of landing an older woman. A lot of them make bets with their friends on if they can land the "cougar" and how many they can conquer, etc.

    I have female friends who are the same about young lads. Sometimes when I'm home on a Friday or Saturday night, they might even send me pictures of the guys they've convinced to show them their abs. Objectifying, you say? Both parties are consenting adults...

    Is this meant to be directed at me? I didn't say everyone HERE is stereotyping. I said stereotyping is bad.

    And if young men seek older women out because they think older women are more sexually aggressive, easier to get in the sack, more mature, more intelligent, more whatever... then that's stereotyping and that's bad. Stupid too.

    It's a case of them having had personal experience that either younger/older/larger/smaller/smarter/sportier/taller/shorter etc etc etc get their motor's running...it's not stereotyping.

    This is stereotyping:

    All teens are addicted to the internet.
    All women get fat when they get married.
    All whoever are whatever.

    The click is what it's all about. Age is a number... I was just wondering about the MILF phenomenon...which I agree is as old as time, but more prevalent now because of porn.

    A lot of women (some good looking and some not so conventionally pretty) I know are dating and/or married to younger men right now. it seems to be a somewhat recent thing (in the past decade) so there must be something to this attraction. I get it from the young ones too occasionally but I'm happily married and would never consider going there with anyone regardless of age or looks.

    Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....that's what rings through my head when I see this thread or why older men date younger women. It's not just an age thing. I think it is a lot of different things but they all add up to you are interested in that person. An older woman has a different perspective on life, sex, love and relationships and her mindset. A young man would be attracted to those things so he can learn and also participate in that and learns how to give attentiuon to a woman and an older woman doesn't play the same games a younger woman does. An older woman also seduces a man differently than a younger woman does and that is appealing to a younger man who has never had that experience. I see nothing wrong with that or the reverse...in some ways it is a huge ego boost for both the older woman and the younger man and who doesn't like to have their ego boosted a little? Ultimately wheteher they stay together is a matter of chemistry, timing and good luck...but let me just say....a beautiful woman is a beautiful woman...at any age and men are attracted to that....doesn't matter if the woman is 10 years older or more...

    Well according to some, it is only OK to stereotype young guys, just don't stereotype others. Obviously, if you like to point out the hypocrisy of this statement it appears you need more fiber in your diet.

    It is equally wrong to stereotype young men. Easy to do but foolish. It's ONLY okay to stereotype MFPers. This is acceptable behavior.
