    If you don't love or respect either one of them enough to be exclusive with them, you shouldn't marry either of them.

    Please don't confuse monogamy with respect or love. Some people do have relationships that involve loving, respectful, carefully negotiated non-monogamy. This doesn't sound like one of those situations though.

    Is love some sort of exclusive thing? Can I not love my husband AND my mother? Or my brother AND my mother? AND my best friend? That's ridiculous. You can love a lot of people. Making relationships work is another issue, but you can (and most people do) love multiple people.

    on a serious note, I was dating 3 girls for a while and 2 of them started to stand out. the 3rd was just for fun. I ended up breaking one of their hearts and marrying the other. after a while all I wanted was to be with the one so it all worked out.
