    A doctor visit. It was actually a follow-up, because I had gotten birth control the previous appointment after complaining about horrible cramps and emotional ups and downs (along with being quite hirsute for a woman). Testosterone was a little high, but my fasting blood sugar was one point short of pre-diabetes. I don't know why, but I asked him if losing weight would really help. He said, "Most likely." I can't really remember why I picked the day I did to start. It was a Tuesday in March. I think the most important part is that I didn't stop. I don't really have any good "before" pictures or anything like that because I didn't make an overly conscious decision to really get on track. I just started trying to eat better and exercise a bit each day, and got enough progress in that going back just couldn't happen anymore.
