    I wasn't making the thread about me, I was saying, here is my evidence for saying this, and here is why I am saying that, I have been around people who eat this, here are my reasons.. I don't see why a little evidence is a bad thing. I kept reffering to the OP, and she IS in the upper range of her weight you liar.

    The reason everyone is saying stuff to you is that, in her very first post, the OP stated she eats 500-700 calories. How could you possibly think that is ok. She is not that short, and she is young. You are wrong here. Geez, be man enough to admit it.

    5'3 is not short? And I highly doubt that she is eating that little, although she could be. She laid it out that she is an athelete trying to lose some muscle.

    Well just one point, the muslims eat their calories during the night. So, they restrict during the day but actually eat the right amount of calories. Just sayin' :)

    Lets not throw basic physiology out the window.

    A person with maintenance or TDEE of 1000 is sedentary and 2 foot tall and probably 117 years old.
    You meant to say "I gain water weight above 1k because of stupid dieting. If I eat at 1600-2200 daily ill fix my metabolism and be happier!"

    5'3" is not short on a woman. It is well within normal range. The BMI you named is not the high range, it is right in the flipping middle, which given that she says (and I believe her) that she is more muscle and low bf% suggests that her weight is quite low (BMI doesn't account for bf%). She disclosed a disorder and you're pushing everyone of the buttons on it. You've posted multiple replies about you in order to prove you're not making it about you.

    Here's a handy, tool, we capitalize holidays (Ramadan) and religions and their followers (Muslims). And Muslims, while they fast during Ramadan, actually do eat the whole month, they just wait until sundown. And yes, they are fine.

    You called me ugly, yet in response to your behavior and my posts supplying information, I've had several friend requests. People are actually repulsed (too strong a word) by your behavior, despite your attempts at shaming me for being an outspoken woman and suggesting that because my outspokenness is in opposition to yours, I am therefore ugly. People don't find that to be an attractive trait in men, just as an FYI.

    The average woman is 5' 4". And she said she was eating that little twice. Try reading the posts before you encourage her to continue this kind of behavior.

    You keep saying "eating disorder, eating disorder" and I honestly think that a lot of this doctor diagnosis, everyone has something mentality of today is absolute BS. Someone who is at a healthy weight with a body composition that does not match that of women on magazines... probably reads magazines. Her diagnosed disorder... *twitch* is a self image problem, I would not be one to disagree, but I have the same thing for looking at men's fitness and wanting to look like the guy on the cover, and trying to take steps to achieve that. The OP is trying to lose muscle so she can wear smaller jeans. Problem?

    Nothing should surpass a doctor's recommendations. People shouldn't eat more or higher calorie foods unless they are hungry. You might yell louder and get meaner, but you can't silence me. Short girls or short men who don't eat as much as the calculators say they should need to hear opinions from people like me sometimes.

    Eating less than 1200 calories a day will slow down your metabolism. People think by eating less they will lose, which initially they will, however, not only will it be all water weight bu you will lose in all the wrong places. Your body will think its in starvation mode and will store it as fat.

    Seriously, buddy, nothing should surpass a doctor's recommendations [sic] in one sentence which is only a paragraph or so after saying you disagree with the diagnosis SHE REPORTED that was given by a professional she was seeing. Do you even listen to yourself?

    You have me confused with others. I have not put up a single calculator. Nor have I said anyone needs to eat more. I've suggested that her solution is in what she rejects: finding a way to be accepting of her own body, which is precisely what the disorder she has is about.

    I never called you evil. I quoted a small portion of one of your posts, and you blew a nut. Your introduction to this thread was all about how short you are, so I refered to you as the short guy. I explained that infi-quotes and wall of text are generally detested around here, but tried to play according to your rules as clearly, your emotions get charged pretty easily. When you objected to the short guy using a small quote--the same behavior you blasted me for--you defended yourself (when I did a similar thing with someone else, she laughed and realized she'd argued with not-thje-OP in the same post that she was admonishing people for arguing with each other and not talking to the OP).

    You have engaged in ad hominem attacks at my character. You have overreacted to disagreement, and you have gotten personal and dirty in your interactions, all while accusing me of not letting you speak.     Yeah, there's a problem. A huge problem, because gaining muscle and retaining muscle is what gets us in smaller jeans. I've GAINED weight to have a smaller, better proportioned body. While eating more than double what she's eating.

    Seriously what kind of food are people eating that they can't get to 1200 calories? Are you like, eating a tomato and calling it a day? An apple alone has about 130, put some food in your mouth! Peanut Butter, nuts, meat, they're all calorific.

    I'm way late, but this x100

    I usually just reach 1200 cals per day (usually a bit under) and that includes 4-5 meals per day, eaten about 2.5-3hrs apart. If you're eating quite cleanly, the calories are low. That being said, I'm full all day and have to make myself eat again sometimes. Everyone is different... I worry about those who only eat 2-3 items per day that are HIGH calories, then don't eat again that day in fear of going over.. that is verging an ED.
    Sweet potatoes are considered "clean" and they are calorie dense.

    I guess I am the only one that finds this post comical.

    I did. I doubt that she is consistently eating 800 a day or less, she said she tries for 1200 and hits it some days. I repeated it because I didn't know how to make something bold.

    Anyways, I'm done. Call me whatever you like, but telling someone to eat when they aren't hungry is how people like me got here in the first place. Do you all not understand that... we're full? we've had enough food for now. To hit higher calories we have to eat mcdonalds because a cup of cooked rice is more than enough for us for a meal and only contains 300 calories at most.

    First you all want us to cut out processed and junk food, which is high calorie and dense, so to feel full we eat a lot and gain weight. And now that we are eating healthy vegetables and home cooked food, you are telling us to eat MOAR. Leave us alone!
