I was craving steak frites so we went to a local cafe for that. Hubby does not like steak so I don't cook it much at home.

I usually like to cook more from scratch on the weekends since I have more time but I’ve got a head cold and just trying to get by. I’ve spent most of this winter sick in some way so I am more than ready for summer.4 -
Mushroom risotto w some leftover tofu on the side.

Saturday brunch out with girlfriends at my favorite bakery/restaurant. Avocado toast on sourdough bread - with chopped bacon, caramelized onion and an over easy egg...
And a latte with cinnamon

Lazy breakfast. Still trying to make breakfast a habit since I feel better all day when I eat it.2 -
This is a personal sized pizza I made the other night. I used a 7 inch Ancient Grains tortilla, but you could use any tortilla - any size. If you want a thicker crust, you could use naan.
Steps:
• pick your crust
• smear some sauce (whichever base to your preference)
• toppings and cheese of preference
• on a bake sheet, put in oven (or toaster oven) on 325 until cheese gets that beautiful gold colour.
This photo is before baking.

Two mini pizzas on naan rounds (rotisserie chicken with mushrooms/olives on one and with spinach and tomatoes on the other) and a bowl of fresh strawberries. 356 cal4 -
A sort of store cupboard meal. Spaghetti aglio olio, some salad inspired by tagliata di manzo to use up some leftover rare steak we took home in a dobby bag, but inauthentic as it was iceberg and ranch rather than rucola and vinaigrette. Over roasted asparagus and tomato.

Heavy snack in the Delta Club while I wait for my plane to come in. Pretty good options today: piri piri chicken thighs, rosemary roasted new potatoes and glazed carrots. A little heavy on the olive oil, but overall very tasty. Add a couple of cheese wedges for 'dessert' and I should be all set until I get to San Francisco about 6 1/2 hours from now.
