Yes, tempeh and mushrooms! It's mushroom tarragon braised tempeh. I won a chef's box in a draw recently and they sent me all the ingredients. I just had to cook everything according to the recipe provided I'm a big tempeh fan, but my family isn't. This recipe, however, had them going for seconds!

Here are some of the dishes I cook quite often: sauteed cabbage, carrots & Italian chicken sausage; sauteed spiralized zucchini & Baby Bella mushrooms; mini chicken & veggie meatloaves, and roasted cauliflower & sweet onion kugel.

I liked them- Matcha infused white chocolate covered hazelnuts. They are a nice sweet treat - but not overly so.

Cheat breakfast since OJ and bagels are high in calories but I needed it lol turkey egg and cheese on an everything bagel



Dinner last night was beef and butternut squash chili. It was more like soup but still yummy.

Made taralli for the first time. Grandmothers recipe. And then made barley with sausage, beans and tomatoes. Kale with garlic and vinegar.

You want bacon? Here is a Jambalaya Fatty I made in the smoker last Saturday. The recipe is posted in the RECIPE section on MFP.


The whole fatty is 2500 calories and it made 7 servings at 357 calories each.

Croissant french toast! Not the best pic, since I took this to go and finally sat down to eat it about 2 hours later. But this was super yummy- I can only imagine how good it is fresh. Maybe I'll eat in next time...

Hickory smoked sea salt rubbed yellowfin sushi and avacados for appetizer. Blackened mahi tacos with slaw, avacado and chipotle mayo. Simple but delicious!
