Looks delicious. Any chance of getting the recipe?

Blush 🤣 I feel a fraud being asked for a recipe with some of the mega chefs on this thread lol

I'm not really a recipe person as I sort of throw things together 🤨 but I'll do my best

I took some minute steak and sliced finely them fried it off. Once it started to brown I added a teaspoon of garlic and ginger. At this point I would have added some teriyaki sauce but I was out so I added some Soy, BBQ sauce and a splash of liquid smoke.

Once it was off the heat I added some Sesame Oil and Seeds.

At the same time I stir fried a mix of fresh and frozen veggies in soy.

I served with more sesame seeds and coriander for garnish.

    ---
Ah, don't......the way I see it is...yes mega chefs w/ different specializations on this site. Due to different talents and locations.
But the amazing thing I think is the quality of sharing recipes and techniques. :-)

So, thank you for sharing yours.
I'm missing the sesame seeds and oil. I'll pick some up tomorrow on the way home.

Pyttipanna - Swedish for literally chopped up bits in a pan.

This is typical Swedish Husmanskost (home cooking). Usually its beef but I'm the only one who eats red meat in our house so this is made with roast chicken.

The veg is chopped potatoes, carrots and swede. I also added peas and fava beans for some green. Its served with salt gurkins and pickled beets (both home sliced) and a fried egg.

In traditional Swedish recipes you couldn't get fresh veg in Winter so there are lots of root veg plus pickles and fermented veg.

Just figured out we share the same background. Reason for my love of root veg and fermented vegetables. But eat them year round.
I'm a seafood person, eat meats because it's good for you, but I hate chicken. Still eat it because it's good for you. :-)

    Hmmm Gizzard Salad (o:

I don't know why but that made me think of my first visit to Paris. I was on a tight budget as a 19 year old student but we found that most of the little cafe's off the main tracks would offer Prix Fixe Menu and you got a starter, main, and small carafe of house wine for (I think) 5 Francs.

One of the first meals I had had Fromage de Tete as the Starter. No problem thinks I with my awful French, I like cheese. Except I didn't know Cheese of the Head was a meat jelly made from the head of a pig.

The main course was Andouillette which again my bad French convinced me would be Lamb (Agneau - so not even close) it turned out to be a sort of course sausage made of pigs intestine.

It was a bit of a shock to the system for a boy who'd grown up on tinned spaghetti hoops but actually both tasted fantastic and it opened up my eyes to the world of food.

Gesiers are giblets. In Paris the salad is made with duck giblets. My salad was made with confit chicken giblets because I don't know where to source fresh duck giblets in London. Though there are some gourmet shops that sell tinned confit duck giblets at rather steep prices.

    @acpgee oh man. That's unfortunate.
I really wanted to post my 12 oz steak earlier but no luck.
It's too bad about the photos. The only good thing about this site are these forums it's amazing support. Hope they don't ban the photos. Because I won't be renewing premium subscription. Not even a month here and I've had nothing but issues. 4 emails to customer support stupid replies with nothing close to what I ask and nothing is fixed. It's sad!
    Have you emailed customer support?
