The post-Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving leftovers "cleanse" continues. Feeling a bit like a short-order chef tonight, by prepping both plain and savory alternatives side-by-side for various family members: plain and savory baked chicken breasts, savory roast butternut squash with some brussels sprouts, plain boiled carrots, plain brown rice, tomato-cucumber salad.

Charred hispi cabbage, pan fried dusted sole, air fryer chips, a tiny bit of leftover tomato salad.

I’m really loving the Steam Fresh bags. Cooked in the microwave in about 6 minutes, it’s not the traditional microwave box dinner .1 -

Italian-style baked chicken breast with homemade tomato/vegetable/mushroom sauce and broccoli, served with spaghetti squash and more of the sauce as side.

Huge taco salad made with veggie meatless crumbles and a cheese quesadilla. Yogurt bowl with raspberries and crumbled cereal for dessert.2 -

Cleaning up leftovers. Friday's porcini risotto stretched with grated courgette and stuffed into portabello caps baked with grated cheese on top. Tomato and olive salad. Pasta with leftover homemade pesto from last week.

Chicken parm with fettuccine, spinach, roasted zucchini and garlic bread. Enlightened pb and marshmallow ice cream with two cookies. 😊

Grilled baby gem for one. Braised lamb shank and gratin dauphinoise both pulled out of the freezer for two.

A little random, a lot of yumminess. Potatoes, chopped up soft boiled eggs, pineapple and cheese.

Oats with pumpkin purée, splenda, vanilla almond milk, raspberries, topped with a dollop of strawberry greek yogurt and a crumbled up graham cracker ☺️

Szechuan takeaway. Chicken with black bean sauace, lamb stir fried with cumin, aubergine braised in soy, rice.

My low carb waffles with persimmon and protein fluff for snack.
I did a hike through one of our local parks the other day, found a stand of persimmon trees. While the fruit looked well beyond its sell-by date, LOL, it got me to thinking about what to do with persimmons. Got any suggestions? This dish looks as if it is simple slice-and-top utilization. Thanks in advance for advice!

"A Tale of Two Loaves" - going to a house Christmas dinner party tonight. Made two no-knead boule (round) loaves as my contribution - one is plain with sesame, the other is infused with rosemary/garlic. It must be the onset of the cold season, as I've been on a baking roll lately (yes, that's a pun, LOL).
