It was a dish I never had before. Grilled cuttlefish on a soupy mash drizzled with olive oil and topped with fried cubes of jamon iberico. It is the last of the starters on this online menu.

@takinitalloff
You had me at Za’atar - one of my fav spices! ☺️
Looks awesome!1 -
Breakfast - bed of oak leaf lettuce, tomatoes with a hint of evoo, balsamic and tuna 🥗 salad.
Dinner - One of my fav Egyptian dishes.. Alexandrian liver. (Kebda Iskandarani )
It’s a mix of peppers, onions, garlic, herbs and liver medallions... squeeze of lemon and top with garnish.. I used lamb liver.
Made fresh almond tortillas.. that kind of came out a bit like pita. So it worked!

Dinner out at a Latin American influenced BBQ restaiurant that does sharing plates.

I love my local taco truck lol. Beans, rice and quesabirria tacos. I don't do 'cheat days' very often but I kinda go out when I do :P

We ate out. I had a rare sirloin and broccoli, which had been over sweetened. The steak was good though.

Went to the Farmer’s market yesterday so today’s meals are almost entirely local
Bannock with homemade apple jelly (apples picked on Friday)
Grilled zucchini, eggplant, and peppers on a grilled baguette with goat cheese (not local), fresh basil, and a balsamic reduction.
Now washing and freezing the blackberries picked yesterday while trying not to eat too many of them 🤭

Spaghetti carbonara with sides of roast asparagus and roast cherry tomato.

My husband made breakfast for me this morning.
His Nonna’s fav breakfast: zucchine cacio e uova—zucchini w egg and cheese.. Though just a lil cheese for me.
His Grandmother loved to make vegetables in the morning. Her garden in Rome is one of the most splendid gardens I’ve ever seen with the most flavorful and tender vegetables.
Going to have to grab the late summer harvest while I can.. 🌾 🌿 😉

Kale & bean soup with leeks & garlic, pistachio-parsley-lemon zest pesto, plenty of olive oil, and feta. Yum.
@SafariGalNYC You're inspiring me. I want to try Kebda Iskandarani and the zucchine cacio e uova looks delicious, too.
@acpgee What's the cheesy baked dish at the Latin American restaurant? That entire table looks amazing. Hope it was as good as it looks.
@Cat0703a Your farmer's market haul looks great, too. I love the sunflower!3
