Panic attack - I thought I lost my post but by some miracle hitting the back button 10 times found it. The server or my internet is acting wonky today. Here goes.

    Great job shellster!!!!

Oh my scale please forgive me for bad mouthing you yesterday. I  you today. I knew those kettle chips were evil:grumble: . This morning I was 199.75.... It may only be a 1/4 pound under but I am going to take it:drinker: :drinker: :drinker: Drinks on me today :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: That makes me 1.2 pounds down this week. To celebrate, I am going to go run on the treadmill. I was just lazy and didn't get to it yesterday. Tonight we wont have time for exercise - to much shopping, casinoing, birdwatching, drinking wine and having a great time. I love ladies out weekends. I do hope to hit the gym before we take off tomorrow for more indulgences. Good luck everyone. My superhero persona is flying high today.

No change for me, but that is ok since this is my first real week back in the swing of things. I vow to use my treadmill at least 3 times this week. I am sure that is going to make the difference.

Starting weight on MFP - 237.8
Starting weight on challenge - 202.9
    Weight today - 202.9
    Loss on challenge - 0lbs
    Total Loss - 35lbs

This morning's weigh in: 204.2lbs (-2.0 for this week) :blushing:

I'm definitely down with that, as last weekend wasn't a good eating weekend and I went out twice this week for dinner. I am proud that I got all three c25k workouts in this week and that my weight loss continues to be pretty consistent. Yes!

shellster: congrats on the 4 pounds! that's a HUGE loss!

mish: not losing kind of sucks, but the important thing is that you're gtting back into the swing of things. Good luck with the treadmill this week! You should see a loss next week!

pinbot: holy hell you're fabulous. Our first member to break 200! I'm so very very happy for you. If I was upstate, I would pummel you over with a gynormous hug. You absolutely deserve it! Somedays the scales are friendly. haha. And celebrating by going on the treadmill? Well, you're such an overachiever! I'm sure you'll have a blast this evening/weekend! :flowerforyou:

blombie: keep at it! you're fabulous!

Nothing much on the radar for this evening/weekend, so my regular routine should stay in effect. Oh, btw, all of you whose pants are falling off you, Old Navy is having a sale on their basics, including jeans which are on $19! Now, I told myself I wouldn't really buy anything new until I'm under 200lbs, but that's a pretty fab deal. I might need to check it out and see what they have. I'm mostly just curious where I stand in terms of size and fit. My 20s are finally getting the point where I need to downsize. It only took 25 pounds! haha.

Everyone is just super this week :flowerforyou:

I rocked the treadmill. I managed 5 bouts at 6.0 mph for 2 min each - totaled that's a 10 min mile:noway: I was breathing hard and really had to push myself. Now, I've gotta run and get out the door in 25 min for work.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

first things first....my weigh in was disappointing, but we can't have all fab fridays right?
    SW on MFP: 230
    SW for FIS: 207
    today's weigh in 207
    goal for FIS 196
I was hoping for my two pound streak to continue, but considering what I ate for dinner last night, I believe it it sodium that is my evil nemesis. Knowing that our weigh in was today, I still didn't eat differently from my hubby who requested......(bracing for the shunning of her fellow MFP's), corn dogs. 600 mg of sodium in each. YIKES!! I screwed up, made a bad choice and I know it. Still, faced with the thoughts of telling people last week to never be ashamed to post here, I am being honest. Hope you all still love me!! :blushing:

I am so happy for the others on here that have had weight loss this week. Nikki, I am proud of you for really sticking with it. I still wish you'd stop weighing yourself every day...I think you'd be happier. Try weighing yourself every hour for one day....you'll see how badly the body fluctuates. Still, if that makes you happy then I support you!
PInot- holy hell!! 6.0?!?! I tried that yesterday and was sure i was gonna go out the second story window. I pushed and made myself do a 10 minute interval stint of 4.0 for a minute then 5.0 for a minute. It worked me. And big old hugs and congrats on breaking 200!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I say for your reward you pick a new challenge for us maybe? something we can try to do over the course of this particular challenge. what say the rest of you??
Shellster-your the hero leader of the group this week!!!!!
AKA-so proud of you!! two more pounds gone :)
    everyone else-way to go!!

On a side note, i got the biggest loser family cookbook from the library yesterday, and on a quick skim of it there seems to be tons of yummy recipes in there. I'll try to post as many as I can.

Great job Nikki and cds!!!! cd - you didn't gain even with the salty dinner. Next week you will be our super star. I don't hate you but am rather jealous - the corn dog sounds delicious... I will blame you if I find one a menu this weekend and indulge. Remember we are on a lifestyle change and that eating things like that are okay as long as you eat better most of the time.(*wink*)

    Nikki- great job hun!

cds- I totally agree with pinbot. You lost this week, it just didn't show this morning because of the sodium. You'll be down next week! Keep at it. As I read what you were saying about the treadmill, I got this hilarious visual of you faceplanting and then flying right out the window. That's like my deepest fear. I'm waiting for me to just bite it hard on the treadmill one of these days.

I'm exhausted today. I don't have any peeps coming into the clinic, so I'm tempted to leave and go home and work on some reading for work... maybe try and get in a cat nap as well. It's very tempting. Will swing by old navy on the way home and case out the sales.

the visual is pretty funny. and considering I'd end up in my neighbors living room, and she's not real fond of me anyhow....lol!!!

Thanks for the encouragement ladies. I feel better about the corn dog. your right, an indulgence once in awhile isn't bad, it's human. And i did eat really well the rest of the week.
have i told you ladies your just wonderful!!!?

I am bouncing around with weight. I lost 1.2, gained 0.8, and am down 0.2 this morning. I am used to the fluctuation, so I am not letting it bother me. Yes, I would prefer to see only smaller numbers everyday, but I am still down 0.6 lbs.

Busy weekend coming up around here. I am helping my husband with work tomorrow, so we will be going non-stop tomorrow from 10 to at least 10. It's just the food that will be interesting. We will make it work.

    So...
    Starting Weight at MFP: 216.6
    Starting Challenge: 207.4
    Today's weigh in: 206.8 (down 0.6)
    Goal for challenge: 175

    Onward!

Great job Melsa! We all fluctuate, especially if we weigh ourselves several times in the week (guilty as charged!), but it's true... as long as you realize there will be fluctuations, it's all good. You could be down more tomorrow!

Ladies, old navy was fabulous! I got a couple new pairs of pants... all in an 18. Down a size! They all fit comfortably... so much that I don't know how long they'll fit me for if I continue losing as I am, but they were under $20 a pair, so I couldn't say no. Then I got to the jeans.... now I know from the past they tend to run a bit bigger than other places, but I tried on a couple of 18s and they were all a bit too big, especially in the legs and bum, SO I tried on a 16. They are very snug... to the point I wouldn't wear them out at this point, but they zipped up and I'm only semi-souffle-ing out of them! I was feeling optimistic, and they were on $19, so I bought them and am looking forward to when they fit more comfortably. Holy crap, I still can't believe I can zip up a 16! That was a huge surprise!

Was a nice part to my day, when I found out I STILL don't have my separate phone number at work yet (technicians need to come out). As I'm starting my group soon, this is a problem as I have no number to give my patients. Argh! Trying to be patient, but come on now! So was grumpypants over that, but the clothes shopping put me in a much chipper mood. Now to dig into some manual reading for work. Exciting! :grumble:

Pinbot....I have the trumpets playing here...can you here them....they are singing...way to rock it!!! I think I'll die and go to heaven when I break into hundredville...
Cds, I agree, pinbot should give us a challenge!
Aka...you so make me want to try on clothes....I had a pair of Junior skinny pants that were size 19...I tried them on and they were very loose in the legs and tush...and I remember trying them on last summer and there was no way.....

My grandkids are over so I can't be on here long...I will catch up on posts later....I just wanted to post me results....

    A loss...woo-hoo, it's small...but I'll take it
    Current weight 210.8
I believe that is down 1.4 pounds or so......

I feel so much better today compared to the last 2 weeks....so I'm having a good day!!!

Keep Soaring Superheros.......... check in tonight after the kids leave!!!!

Okay - you guys asked for it. We will have an ab challenge. We don't want to be "skinny fat" when we get to our goals so lets work on core strength. On Sunday, I will post a challenge that will take 10 to 15 min to complete and you will be charged with doing it 4 times a week.

Great job on the losses deb and mesla !!!!!

cd you do crack me up. I'm still chuckling picturing you going into the neighbor's house from the treadmill:bigsmile:

Kristina - a 16 WOW :noway:  :flowerforyou: That just rocks. I have to finish packing - eek. Mom will be here at 4 and then we're off.

I think that is too funny. "Skinny Fat". I am looking forward to the challenge within a challenge. Everyone did so well.

OMG all week I've been replying to another 200 lbs group. No wonder none of them looked super familiar to me. I know I am new to this group but thought it was the same thing. How do I "bumps" or whatever it is to get this into a place where I can easily follow it???

I didn't lose jack. Granted I went over a few times this week but not by much. I am frustrated, I'm not going to lie.
I haven't pushed myself hard to do the C25K but I have been running for a minute at a time on the treadmill during my walking. I did three minutes yesterday. not much but I have to start somewhere.

I changed my routine at the gym this week and am sore so maybe I am retaining more water. And my sodium has been higher than it should be this week too I think. I just like I am at a loss. 7 weeks and really nothing happening on the scale.

Ladies - Congrats to everyone for their weight loss this week! To use a term from the '80's - that is totally RAD!!! I am happy for you all and know I will get there soon too. I cannot wait to get under 200 and am not that far, I just don't know what I need to change to get there.

Pinbot - I started doing planks and side planks at the gym this week..talk about a major ab worker! I can't wait to do the ab challenge. No skinny fat for me either!

Tonight hubby and I are going to sushi so Ihad a salad for lunch since I know there will be both sake and wine. And we are finally going to see Avatar. It doesn't start till 10:30 though, so I will have to keep the wine consumption down. I need to anyways.

So, tonight I did 30 minutes on my treadmill. I had this idea that maybe my sneakers were causing issues with me walking so I bought a new pair. All I can say in WOW. It made such a difference if that makes sense. Thanks for listening.

Just reply to the group and it will go to your "my topics" and then when you click on that link it will bring up all that you have responded to. hope that helps.

I'm a slow loser too, I just have pep talks with myself and if you are doing all the right things, it will fall into place, but if you quit, you'll never see how much you can accomplish. Take each day and make it yours...it will happen, it just takes time:flowerforyou:

Great Job!!! I'm glad that you did something for yourself and bought new shoes...I'm terrible with trying to "make-due"...but honestly if you want to do a job right....you need to have the right tools....right?

woo hoo.....I can't wait for Sunday.....Lord knows, I need all the ab work I can get!!
I just bought myself some vit E, I heard it was good for bringing back the elasticity in....ahem...older skin....I'm lathering it all over my trouble spots:laugh:
I'm so tired and I have a busy day tomorrow morning and the grandkids are spending the night tomorrow and my 3 year old wants cookies....I told him we'd have a party....I think I'll make up some of those K bars and sneak in some extra good stuff....Grandma "GG" is sneaky like that:bigsmile:

Welcome jchapple!!! Of course you can join us! We actually just started a 6 week challenge this week. The end of it is March 26th. So post your original start weight, your current weight (if there is a difference) and your goal weight for the challenge and Pinot will add you to the chart (she posts that at the end of the challenge). We weigh in on Fridays and a new thread is normally posted by Thursday night. Most of us set 10 pound goals for the challenges.

I think I'm going to make my own c25k songs before I start actually doing it so I can keep up with the music better. I listened to the song while working on the elliptical the other day and I lost track of whether I was supposed to be going faster or slower during which song. Of course if I was jogging/walking it would probably be a lot easier to figure it out but still, I haven't challenged myself to do something like this in a while.

I have done something similar before. For our first wedding dance, I did the whole, starts with a boring slow song, there is a record scratch and then it switches between a lot of songs. Actually, here's the youtube link...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3S4IAPko_Y

Although mixing these songs will be more challenging cause I have to make sure the beat flows easily. I will let yall know if I get one done.

Great job! I made mixes for myself as well, but I didn't try and record a countdown. That's too fancy for my audio skills. I just clipped songs to the right lengths. You can totally rock c25k Blombie! Maybe if other peeps in the group end up starting the challenge they can steal your mixes!

I hope everyone has a good weekend. I slept in late this morning/afternoon which was pretty fabulous. No plans for the weekend other than some major olympics watching. haha. I might do a dvd today, but I'll definitely start week 8 of c25k tomorrow. It's only 3 minutes more running. No problem!

Pinbot- I like your challenge. Some sort of core work, eh? I can do that. Will plan on doing sets of different crunches or core pilates work this week at least 4 times! Would love for my tummy to bounce back a bit. We'll see. I was one who gained my weight in my midsection last, so I was pretty heavy with a relatively flat belly. Of course the last 40ish pounds or so ruined that. :grumble:
