I don't understand why so many people are freaked out by this, you will all happily drink the breastmilk of another species but from your own and its gross? Whos the weird ones....

ANYWAY I think it's a great idea, not only is it nutritious is has amazing health benefits. However the quality issue is something that would bother me, like others have said pretty much everything the donor consumes goes into the milk plus the storage and cleanliness issues, not to mention HIV, hepatitis etc. I wouldn't unless I knew and trusted the person 100%, I wouldn't have donor milk unless it was from the same place the hospital get theirs from (wherever that is) because they have very strict regulations since a lot of donated milk is given to premature babies.

Is the next thing people are going to say is to eat human ground burger? I think cows milk and cows beef should do just fine. Consuming something from another human seems a bit weird to me, other than breast feeding an INFANT.

But we're not supposed to eat each other, human milk is for humans, cows milk is for cows. To me drinking cows milk is odd, granted adults dont need milk but if you're going to drink any it should be from your own species at least.

    Anyway it tastes goooooooooooooood ;)

I think it's a great idea. Cow milk was made for baby cows. It makes much more sense for humans to drink human milk. Plus, human milk is sweeter and tastes better than cow milk.

Eggs are for chick embryos, seeds are for seedling plants .... so?

do you also think its a good idea for humans to eat other humans? wow

Actually, I've often thought a human with a proper diet would probably have all the nutrients we need. lol.

I have often thought about this. Why do we use cow's milk anyway lol??. It wouldn't be so weird if we never switched from drinking our own milk. I say go for it. I tried mine when I had my kids. It certainly tastes a lot better than cow's milk. Just don't know if there is a way to count the calories here on MFP lol. I have alse read about its cancer healing properties.

I used to drink my own breast milk.

It doesn't taste as good as the milk you buy in the store (both dairy and soy).

Human milk has no where near enough cream in it.

Football injury? What did you do twist your knee and sit on the bench for a few weeks from a little injury? 10 years later still complain about it while talking yourself up on the Internet where everyone laughs at your expense thinking about how nice it would be if you wouldn't post anymore!

Well. I tried it. Of course. Here i was nursing the baby with my cup of tea and it was far too much work to go get the cream, so I figured "why not?!"

ETA: I used to also shoot it across the room for kicks. That stuff goes a good 5 ft.
