ETA: I used to also shoot it across the room for kicks. That stuff goes a good 5 ft.
The visual in my head is AWESOME

Find it amusing that at least half of those who are incredulous at the idea of drinking human breast milk, are quite happy to chug away on milk from the breasts of cows.

I have no problem with either. Or goat or sheep. Those are the only ones I've actually had.

Never tried sheep's milk. It just made my To Do List.

Make your own if you are interested in drinking it. You can attempt to get yourself to lactate (adoptive mothers do this on occasion) Leave the other milk to the infants who desperately need it

Can you tell me how to get myself to lactate?

Milk is for babies. Why drink milk at all?

Vanilla rice milk has almost the exact same consistency and taste of breast milk. (I'm a mom, so I tried everything I put in my son's mouth for the first year- I was also a paranoid first time mom- sue me). try the Rice Dream brand of Rice milk or West Soy brand of rice milk. They are both very good... especially when served cold.

I will say though, milk products of any kind are not required for healthy living. Milk in general is designed to provide nutrients in infancy stages (cows for calves, human mothers for babies, etc). After a certain stage, we are designed to live off other nutrients. Milk is really not necessary. That's just my two cents though.

I personally wouldn't buy someone else's milk since I still technically produce my own, but I guess if I had to drink milk, I'd much rather drink breast milk than cow's milk (gross!)

Do a Google search for ANR (adult nursing relationship)...they have pages and pages of how-to's for that...

I think it's a great idea. Cow milk was made for baby cows. It makes much more sense for humans to drink human milk. Plus, human milk is sweeter and tastes better than cow milk.

I call BS on this. Human milk is NOT sweeter than cows milk.

In my experience it is. I ate mostly fruits, veggies, fish and chicken when I was pregnant. my breastmilk tasted sugary and had the consistency of skim milk. It was actually quite good.

Well you know... technically ALL milk is breast milk.

    ^^ That's true!

Eh, I guess I don't fall into the shock value of people drinking breast milk. It was made for HUMANS after all. I say go for it. And heck why disguise the taste, vanilla milk anyone? ;) lol

Also, women who are nursing get to eat a few more calories so if you make and drink your own, perhaps it has a negative calorie effect? :D

If I remember right it was about the same as goat milk (it's been a while and I don't have livestock any more). But my sheep and goats ate the same thing so that may have had some effect on the flavor. Fresh goat milk tastes nothing like the crap they sell at the store.

On a side note, I'm due in 10 weeks and would totally sell you mine. Vegetarian diet, low alcohol consumption (mainly just for my green beans, can't eat them without pinot grigio and lemon juice :p), and no drugs. Just putting that out there >.>
