    Good MOnday morning team,

Catching up on all the post.

Marla- Wow what a saga. I'm dealing with that drama myself. DH was in ER last weekend for possible heart attack and had to call the cardiologist on Monday. Do you think he has called. Of course not...MEN!

Tanya- Hope your Mother's Day was grand!

Lori- I just love Lowes. I can't wait to plant me flower garden. But why is it still so freakin cold? I'm an island girl I needs my warmth:laugh:

Shuntae- Congrats on running in the rain. That's a different beast...shoes water logged and legs feel 2x heavier.

Anywho, I'm taking my exercise and eating day by day and yeah I blew it over the weekend. Went out of town with hubby and no kids. I guess I lived it up and now I'm paying the price. I can't say I didn't enjoy myself.:drinker:

Jan-- I hope you have better luck with your hubs. Although, to be fair, now that I've discussed it with him-- the main reasons he refused to stay in the hospital on Saturday were that A) it was Abby's 8th birthday and he wasn't gonna miss it. Sweet.

And B) he's been in a pissing match (yes, I know, my language has been salty lately-- but there's no other word for it) with his brother over his mother's care, and my brother-in-law has been puffing up like a rooster over the power he supposedly has and has refused to even let her visit here without him. However, he's in Florida and "graciously granted us permission" (ahole) to come get her for the day and there was no way hubs was going to leave her in that hell hole they have her in yesterday.

    So, he signed himself out.

Now, will he contact the cardiologist again? Doubtful, unless he has great pain and is scared-- but, again, like I said, I'm washing my hands of it. Don't wanna hear it. Not gonna talk about it. Just paying the life insurance.

Marla, LOL you certainly have a way with words. Love it!!!

DOES ANYONE ELSE GET VIRUSES FROM THE MFP WEBSITE? :explode:

I keep getting them. DH said to limit my MFP so now I'm checking it at work. Playing misssion impossible...we are forbidden to do anything else other than work at work*sheesh* Anyway I'll check in when I can.

Hope everyone's having a great hump day!

Jan- I've never had any problems with MPF.

Jeannie- so glad to see you back here talking about getting your *kitten* back in gear my friend.

My *kitten* needs to follow Jeannie's *kitten*. Granted, I've been hitting the gym, but it is half hearted of late. I keep making the excuse that I'm working so hard at home in the yard so I don't need to kick it at the gym. Not sure who I think I'm kidding.

Anyway, I'll get into it more later. Told hubs we were starting P90X on Monday. I have some planning to do and some goals to set. I will allow myself to 'slide' through the rest of the week and then the weekend, then harsh reality is setting in come the new week. It's time. I've milked this 'break' for all it's worth and extended it week after week- all the while eating crapola.

Amazing thing swimsuit season-- has us all shaking in our boots, and gettin' our *kitten* back in gear.

Friday's payday, and my butt's goin' back on plain yogurt and the like-- kickin' it back into overdrive.

Had a LOVELY lunch today with some friends. Jim Cannon and Bud Allen, two gentlemen (woo-hoo-- handsome even) for whom I'd done some personal transcribing in late '08 for a lawsuit they were filing (old friends of ours from our old town) finally took me for my thank you lunch.

They won the lawsuit and have been granted court costs, supposedly-- some of which are the costs associated with the transcribing. They'd had me submit a bill to them for what I would charge, so if all goes well, some day when the other side stops appealing and reappealing (the wheels of justice do indeed grind slowly, my friends) Lord willing, I'll be collecting over $700.

At the very least, I enjoyed two lovely glasses of white zinfandel-- yes, two-- you should see my cheeks glowing right now -- oh my-- and a yummy chicken/spinach quesadilla. Yes, it's St. Patty's Day-- no green beer or corned beef for this woman--

Anyway-- it was lovely and a nice respite. Had I not had to pick up Aaron at 2:30, no doubt I'd be on my 3rd glass right now (and on the floor, no doubt-- ha) Probably for the best that I had schedule demands-- these two gentlemen would be drinking buddies that would get me into trouble-- hee.

Lovely day-- heading out to be mama-- just popped into log my stuff, best that I'm able and touch base.

    Later--

Good evening all...Had a busy day today. I typed this morning and then went thrifting with my step-mom at 10:00. We didn't get hom until 4:30. Found some really great bargains and only spent about $10 plus lunch, which was a wonderful homemade buffet (not getting on the scale tomorrow). I decided to turn in my notice and leave my national job. The local work pays so much more and I don't have a set schedule. I get the work one afternoon and have until 1:00 the next day to get it back and I work for a very sweet lady so that is a big bonus. I'm sure it was the right decision, it is just scary. Hope you all have a great evening.

W2D2 is in the books. It felt good and it felt great to be outside in the sunshine. My legs from the knees down are aching now though. I have iced and taken some pain reliever. So glad I get tomorrow off .

I hope everyone had a great St. Patrick's Day ! No green beer or corned beef for me either. Pizza is on its way so I doubt if I am within my calories today. Oh well I'm allowed an off day.

Good evening everyone,SO made myself go to the gym, I didnt want to in the least bit, but after someone told me a mcdonalds dipped ice cream cone was 190 calories I had one then researched it myself and found out it really was 330 calories I had no choice but to go.. To be honest I ate 1227 calories with the ice cream included which was not to bad I suppose...

Well anyways not feeling to swell,

9 miles done on bike and machine and 734 calories later I am home, ran to walmart after my workout ( I sound like Lori) and bought my kids dough nut ( sound like Lori again) and my darling husband key lime cheesecake...and what did I get ME??? Zing gum...They are so lucky I love the,... I have been on my game since Sunday and feels fabulous last week I really struggled, nothing gonna get me down anymore.

Well hope everyone enjoyed st patty day..no green beer for me either or no corn beef, had the same thing I eat everynight, turkey toastada..I love those things I crave them..Have already made my lunch for tomorrow...gotta be at work at 7 so need to hit the gym by 5 and be home no later then 605 and get ready and get darling daughter ready for school so I can be there by 7, I am usually the type of person that if I am not an hour early I go into a panic attack but I am sorry a gym workout trumps being an hour early...

Hope everyone had a great weigh in.. Good night....

Well, my friends, I was just realizing today, TOM is 2 days away. I did not have huge swollen, sore, watermelon boobs. I have not been crampy and achy for the past week. PMS has been dreadful the past few months, thank goodness I got a small break this month. I was going to say I haven't been a total b!tch and cranky and ripping people's heads off, but I have to admit, after reviewing that statement more closely, I've had my moments. :blushing:  Not ALL the time, but moments for sure. I do recall thinking I wanted to tell DH to bite me. I've also been clashing with DD. She's had major tude- or my attitude thinks she has tude... either way. I think it might be a battle of the female hormones going head to head. (Don't know how Marla does that one. Too many girls.) Anyway, to make a long rambling statement short, PMS was good to me this month. I'll take it!

Working on my P90X workout schedule. 6 weeks is how long I'm giving it. 6 weeks until that ball and a dress that needs to zip! Come Monday I am also attempting to give up sweets and the scale for 6 weeks. I am not going to fret daily over a number. I am going to do what I know how to do and accept the results at the end. I owe my body a good 6 weeks, I've been slacking. I have a box full of bathing suits I need to figure out what I'm keeping!

Ooh-- ooh-- ooh-- this is good-- okay, I'll jump back on the 6 weeks no sweets bandwagon with you-- I'm already so not addicted to the scale-- if I get on once a week, that's a lot. But, I can tell from my gloosh sack in my belly that I need to lay off the sugars.

Tell me about p90x once you get going. Tell me how much floor work, on your hands, push up kinda stuff you need to do. My hands and wrists are still sooooooo not receptive to that stuff.

    Morning from the UK,

Feeling all out of sorts over here - back is killing me so can't exercise properly other than walking and even thats a challenge with the children and the buggy! but hey ho, will have to carry on and let it sort itself out

Just want to say a quick hello to everyone, before I go and get busy - put babyseat back into car ( as 1 year old mindee was sick all over it yesterday!), get double buggy out in dining room ready to walk to tesco when 2nd mindee gets here ( or have no food for lunch etc) and then to hurry up the boys to get them ready to walk to school at 8am ( its 7.15 as I'm typing this!). Hope everyone had a great St Patricks Day, and will check back (or stalk) later xx

Thanks Lori, I currently have 2 of the 3 little one asleep and trying desperately to get little Christopher to give in, so that I can have 1-2 hours quite time (I might get him to sleep if his 12 year old brother leaves him alone!). You are so right that the back effects everything - I can't pick the boys up properly either :frown: , pain killers are good, but they mask it and then you can cause more damage so I try not to take them especially when I'm working!

Good don't I sound whiney, snap out of it and get on with what has been dealt to you Tanya............ thanks again Lori

Indeed, Tanya-- you've been such an "up" voice around here-- everybody has their downs. Lord knows I dump enough. (But I love your attitude-- )

    Buy plain yogurt. Check.
    Buy rice cakes. Check.

Had a nummy breakfast of plain yogurt, frozen strawberries with a grapes nut crunch on top--

This is fun stuff..... I feel poofy and bloated. Feel fat, blah, blah, blah-- I walked into Dunkin Donuts for black coffee and caught my reflection-- still unreal that that person is me. I'm not poofy. I'm not fat.

Gave me extra motivation to get it back in gear. Even "out of gear" I'm up 4 pounds of poof-- not bad.

So happy to have found this site and you people and this new lifestyle-- love to all.

I LOVE YOU !!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much--

I'm doing really wonderfully today-- yogurt, rice cakes, peanut butter and apples-- really good stuff. Drinking my water-- on a high.

Got the feeling for something sweet and thought about some marshmallow crème-- one tablespoon on a rice cake-- 60 calories overall-- in the future, NOT a bad idea--

BUTTTTT-- just as I'm opening the lid for the marshmallow I remember the above post-- and stepped away.

    Woo-hooooooooo-- thank you, my friend--

And black team, THAT'S what we're about-- I love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Later.

As I posted yesterday legs were sore from the knees down. Its a little better only sore in my ankles and across the top of my feet. Hubby thinks it might be the way my foot is landing when I run. I'm going to have to keep an eye on that tomorrow.

Hope you all have a lovely evening !

The only thing I have to say is that the hot tub is getting it's maiden voyage tonight! Wooooooot! Unfortunately, the kids are bickering about who sits where and we aren't even in the thing yet. :grumble: For real, didn't anybody teach them how to share?

I keep saying it's a family event, but more and more I'm thinking of letting the kids go duke it out for 30 minutes and then it's 'adult time.'

    hey Cheryl-- yeppers-- so cool.

Hello, my team-- today is significant-- I am taking back my running. No more waiting around for napping spouses. I looked at my recent 30 day fitness report-- 11 out of the last 30 days I've exercised. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

I just got back from my run-- and he's still napping. By now I'd be seething waiting around, and then would have no time to run, or it'd be too late..... No more.

Had a great day of eating...enjoyed an okay run. Battling a cold, not feeling the best-- but got in just under 3 miles.

Decided to put my weight loss back to a goal date-- I want to be at goal by 6/5-- my 46th birthday. And I'm going sweets free til May 1st. Enough of this crap-- time to get it done already.

Not sure what runs I'll be able to get in from an official race standpoint-- the 1/2 is still on the horizon and in my heart-- but I have to be realistic about the feet right now. So for now, I'm taking it off my signature, but not my calendar. I'll re-evaluate around my birthday, which would still give me 14 weeks to train for it.

So there you have it-- need to scoot.

Hey guys! Writing you from Vegas. Here for work. Got in yesterday and I was exhausted. Left at 1 p.m. central time and didn't get checked in until 7:30 pacific time. Hadn't eaten since 11:30 central time. My body just shut down. It was terrible. Still fighting a dehydration headache but it's getting better.

Missing DH and the kiddos something awful right now. Have walked a lot. Haven't even attempted to log my food. Mixing the good with the bad as far as food is concerned. And trying to catch up on water. Only bad thing is that we were in meetings all day so I had limited potty breaks.

Well, need to get ready for bed. Take care friends! I've got a 25 day streak going. Woo Hoo!

    Will say hello all,

I have managed to get all 3 little darlings asleep (2 of them sound like darth varder!!) and I have turned the tv off and am sitting here in silence!! - sort of!! Its lovely, but I am sure there is other things that I should be doing........... nah, can't think of anything so will sit here and enjoy my coffee (usually I'd pop out on the bike or put a fitness dvd on, but as the back is still bad I will make the most of it!!).

Happy friday everyone, and have a good weekend
