Hi Ladies,
I've had a good day, too. Got in a great pre-dawn workout and as I was coming home from our condo fitness room saw a beautiful full moon setting over the mountains. Later, I got an hour long therapeutic massage. Oh, I've just got to get these more often.
Jane - Lovely pictures. Can't wait to meet you in person.
Meg – Good luck on the final exam!
Retiree2006 – Welcome. Keep coming back and tell us about yourself (and that stretched out kitty in your profile  )
Karen – Glad you are off the pain meds. Two pounds off…bravo. Be kind to yourself as you heal.
Janie – I DO like your clever poem.
Michele – Totally agree about posting before eating…I need those numbers to make smarter decisions.
with every wish for a positive and productive day.:smokin:

Just a quick note to say, believe it or not I lost 1.7 last week. One of the weeks where I felt like I wasn't doing well, I have my biggest loss. Life never ceases to amaze me. I'll be back tomorrow with time to "talk".

 after several days of not logging food and going to restaurants and serving a big turkey dinner with all the yummy side dishes and entertaining a house guest and accompanying Jake to Seattle for an appointment with the surgeon who will be replacing his defibrillator with a fancy new model, I am ready for my life to settle down.
 now that everyone has found this new thread, be aware that we will start a new thread for March.......I'll start the new thread at bedtime tomorrow and let you know the link so you can all find it.

Morning beautiful friends,
Still crummy weather here in Ct.I did get alot of sleep last night and feel much better, haven't gotten to the gym yet this morning ,have to take the car in for an oil change at 8a.m so will go after that.
I made about 6 cups of air popped popcorn yesterday and put a bit of parmesan cheese on it, couldnt really taste the cheese but the popcorn filled me up, I didnt eat it all of course ,but that sure is a filler isnt it..
Exermom - would love the calorie count on those muffins, I did really enjoy one of them yesterday
I cant wait for the warm weather because even though I will still go to the gym plan on walking before or after work daily
everyone have a wonderful day and take care of yourselves because the only person who can take care of you best is YOU !!!
xoxoxox hugs & kisses to you girls0 -

LoriH - there are just things that you can't access from a mobile, isn't that sometimes frustrating? Drive safely. Happy birthday to your mother and have fun in Las Vegas. Boy, you sure are one busy gal!
lua - happy birthday to your gs
Rori - a massage is so wonderful!
sue in TX - big congrats on the loss
Eileen - happy birthday. Remember, you're only as old as you feel and if you feel 39.... I personally don't talk about the days when I feel 69
DeeDee - we started to pack the car last night -- just the things that'll go in the trunk. There's room still, but we do want to make sure to leave room for our laptops. Even tho when we stop at a rest stop or fast food place, usually someone is with the car (because of the cats), that's still not something that we want someone to see. Then there is a bit of more room in the trunk. Our suitcases will go in the backseat, so there will be plenty of room for sunshine! You know, I was thinking that today was the first day of March, didn't realize that it's the last day of Feb. until yesterday when I went to log in my breakfast
Well, Vince is getting up, better go finish checking my email so we can pack up the JetPack (MiFi) after checking my email.
Have a great day everyone!

 Good Morning,
I got the results of the lab work the doctor ordered after my lousy bone density scan results......thyroid and calcium are fine and vitamin D just a bit low (I already upped the amount of vitamin D) so she said the next step is to see a specialist she recommended......the specialist is in Seattle (a whole day adventure for an appointment) and not part of the network of my medical insurance and with Jake's surgery scheduled on Monday and not being able to drive for a week afterwards, it will be awhile before I can take that next step.
 be watching tonight for the link to the new thread for March.....I don't want anyone to get lost

Good morning everyone! Day 2 of remembering to bring my water bottle to work - celebrating the small successes whenever I can! Yesterday I drank half the amount of water I'm supposed to be getting in... but that is a HUGE improvement over the NO water that I usually have.
Its been kind of crazy at work so I haven't had a chance to take the time to respond to each persons' posts like I would like to - hopefully soon I'll be able to take the time to respond to each of you - but I want you all to know I am enjoying reading about the successes (it motivates me to keep trying), as well as seeing that I'm not alone in this constant battle of the bulge!
Everyone have a great day!

Hello all,
I'm checking in - hope all are well and happy.
Things are lovely here in SE British Columbia. Spring is struggling with snow...at least it does not stay on the ground. The snowdrops are blooming in my north side garden and the crocus's are a promise of green in the front.
DH has planted his radishes (it's a thing with him) in the front window.
in just over a week I'll be on my way to Nicaragua with my parents - whew! There's a Spanish tutorial playing on my iPad as we speak.
School today begins with PE, I have not decided what to do with my class yet but I am determined they will have 15 minutes of heart-rate elevating exercise. How about relays? Yes, relays. With basket balls. That sounds like fun.
Have fun. Plan what you eat, eat what you plan.
Hasta pronto,

Well hello fellow lovely wobbly old ladies.
It looks like February might just have been the first month of the rest of my life. I lost 12lbs. Not a wild amount as I have at least 100lbs to lose but probably the easiest and most sensible 12lbs I've ever lost.
I won't bore you with the entire back story but I thank god for the day I found MFP. How much money have I wasted going to slimming groups? How many times have I been 'born again' as a dieter only to fall by the wayside when its come down to it and found out its just me and my vices under all the razzmataz.
This time I'm building me. This time I'm stripping away all the false prophet slimming aids and seeing for the first time in my 53 years that it all boils down to calories in vs calories out. The only person, Plan, Regime I can use is the one I make for myself.
I couldn't do this without the help and support of fellow MFPites.
Thank you for being there! (...and I am am there for anyone who would like me to be there for them!)
Good luck for March 2013!
Bring It On!!!0 -
Good morning ladies,
Yesterday I went on a chocolate binge, but the good news is that today I am back on track. In the past I would have given up by now, so I guess that's an improvement. I AM disappointed that I have so little will power. This is why MFP is so important to me. I can't do this on my own. I appreciate all the support and Vitamin F I get here. Although I don't log my steps as exercise, I am more aware of them since I got my Pedometer and try to do all I can (when I'm not sitting on my butt in my office!). I am off tomorrow and will work on trying to get in some extra steps.
:flowerforyou: Janice - Sending hugs your way. Hang in there.....it gets better!
Jane - Your pics from the wedding of you and your daughter are just beautiful! Thanks for sharing them with us.
 Meg - Thanks for sharing your wi story. It made me laugh out loud as I can relate!
 Kate - Since I had a chocolate slip myself yesterday I guess you could say I'm a chocoholic too! Guess we'll just have to start fresh today.
:drinker: Karen - Congrats on your 2 pound weight loss. That's HUGE! You'll be back to your regular exercise in no time.
Janie - Your Ode to Dr. Suess was very clever!
Michele - I had jicama for the first time in Mexico and I love it! So crunchy and delicious. It makes a nice side dish instead of fries.
 Lori - Have a wonderful time with your family in Vegas.
:drinker: Eileen - Happy Birthday and remember....you're only as old as you FEEL!
 Barbie - Can't wait for the March thread. I am so done with February!!
Have a wonderful day. The weekend is almost here.....
Hugs,
Lucy in Delaware:bigsmile:0
