What do you pay for your gym?

I've paid up to £72 p/m in the past (gym was right by my work at the time, so it was worth it for the fact I went.)
Now have a squat rack with bench, multigym and rower setup in my work storage unit. Also have a turbo trainer at home which I might take down there and a cross trainer which I've leant to a friend.
Spend far too much on meat at the moment, so no supplements - well apart from the bottle of cheap cod liver oil tablets that my mum gave me as she had some spare!0 -
I've just joined the nearest gym to my home (about a mile walk), which is £47 per month, and no joining fee this month (usually £10). I like it because there's no contract, and if I know I'm going to be away one month, I can give notice to cancel my subscription and re-activate it when I'm around again. That's good for the summer, too, when I'm more active outside.
I was debating whether to join at all, as I walk everyday, but I decided it would be good for short periods of time (six-eight weeks) when I wanted to work intensively on some goal or another (currently to reduce my waist line by 3 inches).
I'm also thinking of getting my employer to become a member, too, as there are better rates for individual members.0 -
I pay $43.00 per month for our gym/rec center - that's for my whole family, and there are 6 of us. We have an Olympic sized pool, basketball courts, free weight room and machines - and then if you want to purchase extras it's additional (like yoga, personal training, Zumba...pretty much anything you would need another instructor for).
I don't spend extra on food or supplements, although my family knows to keep their paws off my shiratake noodles and light bread! The changes I've made in my diet usually trickle down to the whole family, and I joined a coop for veggies recently, so our grocery budget hasn't seen that much of a change.
Oh, and yesterday I spent 225 dollars on a new (to me) bike for the spring. And I also need a new helmet.0 -
I work at a sports complex so gym, all classes, facilities and pool are free for me :happy:0
-
I pay £25/month but that is for gym, swimming pool, sports hall (badminton 5-a-side football etc), climbing wall for myself, my wife and my two kids.0

I have a corporate membership plan at Goodlife in Canada, and I can go to any location, with towels. Costs me $37 a month, including taxes. I don't spend any money on supplements, etc, but try to eat a balanced, healthy diet.0

80 a month family, includes classes, pool, kids classes, child care. (That's with a $40 break from our health insurance)0

I am a college student so I got a special rate at my uni gym £150 for the entire school year (9 months) for all the sports center activities. That's the gym, the sauna, the sports courts, classes, personal training, etc.
150 divided by 9 is roughly £16-17 per month or about $28 per month.
For the past 4 months, I have spent about $30 on other fitness related items. I don't do a lot of supplements or anything, so my expenses are low on that aspect.0 -
I go to Anytime Fitness and pay $32/month. That includes classes and the convenience of it being open 24 hours, 7 days a week. The one complaint I have is that some of the locations are transitioning from live class instructors to classes taught on a projection screen. I've never used the projector, but apparently the classes are supposed to be 'on demand'. There is a variety of classes to choose from, and I can be by myself in the class if I would like. I just don't know if I can justify spending $32/month for essentially JUST equipment.
I don't spend money on protein shakes, etc, but I will splurge about once a quarter or twice a year on workout clothes.0 -
When a went to a gym it was roughly $50 a month, which included classes, all areas of the facility, and 2-3 free sessions with a personal trainer. Now I workout at home, but I do use protein powder which is about $25. My workout videos are free (ah, the power of the internet), and I probably spent $20 on my workout equipment courtesy of my local thrift store (1lb, 2lb and 3.5lb hand weights, resistance bands, yoga mat).0

I used to pay £43 a month for the gym & pool. But i was going once a week, sometimes didnt go at all. I hate gyms,
There is a gym and a pool where i work, so the manager has said i can use the pool for free and go in the gym when i want to. Which motivates me to go in there as its right next to my shop and i dont have to travel elsewhere after work - i can just walk right in!0 -
Nothing, there is a gym/pool/spa in my apartment block.0
-
I pay $60 per month for my regular gym and then I pay $32 per class for a specialized spin class that I take once a week. I also on ocassion purchase personal training sessions. In my opinion, spending money on fitness is an investment in my health and well being! Very important to my happiness.0

We are members of O2 Fitness- and I *strongly* recommend against them. The fee is only $69/month for me and my husband, plus random $40-50 charges whenever they want to 'maintain' the gym.
However, the staff there are horrible if you are not in shape. One of them would actually point me out to other members and laugh at me whenever I got on the treadmill. One time he got on the treadmill next to me and kept looking pointedly between me and the display until I got so uncomfortable, I had to leave. I haven't been in over a month, and will not go back. We are just waiting for our contract to expire, because they will not let us out of it.0 -
Groceries are about $25 a week. My gym membership costs $15 a month. (I used to work there... Got a pretty good rate.)0
-
$0 for the gym as I don't go, I have looked into joining but the no frills a month is like 80 dollars (thats just to use the machines, no classes or plans). No thanks.. I work out at home. So far, for everything fitness related (clothes, shoes, equiptment) I would've paid about $300 - $400.0
-
$0.00 due to military gym...about $100-$150 a month on protein, vitamins, and other supplements.0
-
In two weeks, moving to a new building for my job (relocating our department), with a fantastic gym. $0.00 ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
-
$49 for a family membership to the YMCA.0
-
YMCA Family plan=$58 a month...I figure this is MUCH cheaper than my used-to-be morning biscuit runs and is something good for me!0
-
I pay nothing for the gym, we have one at work and we can use it at lunchtime0
-
$26.95/month with a $35/year "equipment upgrade fee", which I don't mind at all as we got some awesome new equipment last month.0
-
$100/year at the college I work at. Really don't need gym access to get good workouts, but I like getting in there once in a while.0
-
I don't really. I walk every day, free and I much prefer that than the thought of going to a gym.
I did buy a Kinect for Xbox and some fitness games, about £90 total, but I've hardly used it so going to sell it. Will probably get most if not all that £90 back.0 -
£31 per month ($49 equivalent)...that is an olympic sized pool and all exercise classes free (apart from the zumba and dance ones which I don't do in any case) Supplements are about £36 per 2 months ($57 equivalent - I buy the big 5 kg tubs of protein all in one, anabolic, whey or recovery)0
-
€50 a year.0
-
I pay £50 for an annual membership and then it's £1 per visit (its not really a commercial gym, more blood, sweat and tears).
I spend £35 per month on whey protein and about £5 on multi vitamins and fish oils.
I have to admit since I cut all the rubbish out of my diet, it costs a little more to eat lots of fresh meat, fish, veg etc but it's worth it to me as I feel so much better.0 -
£18 a month for everything (classes, pool etc)
I don't use supplements :-)0 -
It's $15 per month for my work gym and it's a great gym.0
-
I used to pay $20 for gym, now My husband son & I pay $40 for the 3 of us. Individually I spend about $25 a month on protein. Will be purchasing some additional equipment soon as we are in the process of adding on a home gym.0
