I usually just bring my hibachi grill and cook up some ribs while I'm doing my first couple sets. When I first started, I had to eat them while still on the rare side, but now I can make it all the way up to medium-well.

I nearly reported this post. Medium well??? How dare you sir. :noway:

lol. Can't help it; my sets are that epic, now. Thank goodness my starvation mode days are over. I've seen ten pound GAINZ in muscle in each of the last three weeks, too!

Can I just miss out the workout and go straight to the cool down and cake?

Cool-down cake, is that like an ice cream cake?

I LOVE how both of you think!

it is for those who eat 500 calories for a long periods of time. then that gets into starvation mode. but it is not for petite ladies who are short like me and eat between 1200-1300 calories. however the 1200-1300 calorie is starvation mode that part is a myth.

Is there a gym that I can deadlift AND have a pizza party at?

Try Chuck E Cheeses. I heard a 3-year old or two on either arm would be a sufficient weight load.

Every first Monday of the month my gym has a pizza night. No joke.

Luckily there was free cake at the climbing gym today to celebrate their birthday* - as I was there a whole three hours I'd have probably not made it home otherwise.

And they're now copying the other one I go to in having free food on Fridays (Pizza, chips and sausage rolls), but not nearly as many turn up so I didn't have to nearly burn my mouth to get three rather than two slices of pizza down (got to keep the energy levels up!)

(*which I haven't logged, just remembered... but then haven't the climbing either, so reckon that should at least cancel it out.))

3 more sausages kept in my jacket pocket throughout the workout today - yes, again - this is what actually happened :).

Even kept them there for the pull ups!

:-) im ok, theres a KFC next to my gym :-)
Seems like there's always a fast food place next to a gym. They must be the culprits who started the starvation mode theory.

I'm lucky. The gym I go to has a Starbucks, a health food grill, a fro yo place, a sushi bar, and a nutrition store in the parking lot. :)
