I cut my families and my own hair. I also mend my own clothes. (Home Economics came in handy!!!)

What do you do yourself that most people pay someone to do?

    cook like a pro...my family all ask me to cater for "family" pot lucks.....am I missing something here or isn't the point to a pot luck that everyone brings their own dish???..lol...do it anyway so we don't all end up with three bowls of potatoe salad, a chip tray and the ever tiresome plate of deviled eggs.....

    Really didn't mean for it to go that way, I was just cutting my own hair today and my bud was telling me how weird that is. I thought it would be a good topic.

    I cut my own hair (well shave to #3) and on more than one occasion have slipped and ended up shaving everything off.

    That's happened once, I actually use scissors on top now. It took some practice to get it down in the mirror to do the back of my hair right for a good fade cut.

    Work out and exercise without a gym pass. Love the outdoors. And DVDs sometimes in my own home. And have a free personal trainer who leads us in our workouts (except at home of course!).

    Go to concerts or the theater quite often, have never paid for a concert in my life and been to hundreds, gotten to the point even though they're free tickets i just give them away to other people because i've been to so many the novelty has worn off

    Ditto on the haircuts and clothes mending. I'm a poor student, so I try to DIY almost anything I can.

    I also fixed my MacBook once. A wire in the screen went kablooey and I had to take apart the entire thing using a tutorial online. It was a little terrifying, but I had nothing to lose except the $25 wire replacement. That was during the summer, and I'm still typing on it right now!

    I do a lot because we're pretty broke most of the time with 5 kids between us....I cut hair for my whole family...I coupon...I use GPT (get paid to) sites and cash in for amazon gift certificates and get rediculous amounts of free stuff....did a lot of Christmas shopping for free this year :) Just for clicking stuff and doing a few surveys...
