I have done research - and done bio and bio chem at uni, and I know that you don't need to cleanse your body, there are no mysterious toxins that only leave when you stop eating and only drink lemon juice and maple syrup.

I know that it a bunch of hocum made up by people that want to sell you stuff. I don't have to have a claim to fame to know BS when I see it.

Have fun screwing up your metabolism. :flowerforyou:
If you did research then why didn't you know about the tongue?

If you did research, why are you saying that the MC is ONLY drinking maple syrup and lemon juice. I won't touch plain maple syrup.

Who is selling anyone anything? What exactly are they selling and who is "they". Please name at least one product that is being sold.

I am in America. We buy our products at the grocery store and make our own. Not sure what you do in your country, but here, this is cheaper for me to do a ten day cleanse than to eat meals.

I had fun being 20 lbs lighter in ten days with it still being off my body nearly a year later. If that is what you call screwing up your metabolism then I think you need to go to another thread and ask what metabolism is.

You don't "get it" because you haven't tried it. A cleanse is mental.

When you have done it, let us know. If not then move on, you're only here to pester and talk about something you know nothing about.

Yes, obviously you know what you're talking about :noway:

It sounds like you are planning to eat really clean for 10 days if you are going to have chicken and veg. As someone with a lot of food allergies, I often have to reset with a clean diet for a week or so, which makes me feel better if I've accidentally had soy or wheat. So I really understand wanted to eat clean. And lemon juice is great for that too. But I'd really reconsider actually following the mastercleanse schedule because I've watched people get really sick on it. It was hugely popular when I was in uni. And man, with a 3 month old baby, you've got so much to deal with anyway! I'm a fairly new mom, my kid is 18 months now, and you are doing so much good for yourself to focus on healthy eating! I'd really recommend eating clean over the cleanse, because eating clean will help you feel better and keep you moving.

And regarding BF, seriously people, lay off that. No-one but mama gets to decide how that all goes down. You do what is right for you and your family - and it sounds like on this issue you made a good decision for making it work for you guys. I wasn't able to BF, but my kid is still awesome, and I still lost all my pregnancy weight. (Now um, just for that pre-pregnancy weight...)

Have fun screwing my metabolism? You have fun with the mucus in your body which you refuse to expel for a start.

    I thought you were leaving?

A - The Complete Master Cleanse by Tom Woloshyn. http://themastercleanse.org/

B - Awake, and prepare your Lemonade – this is your nourishment and energy source for the day.

    2 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
    2 Tablespoons Rich Maple Syrup
1/10 Teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper Powder – or to taste (as much as you can stand)
8 ounces (250 milliliters of Pure Water)

C - The important transition period of moving from lemonade to food will prepare your digestive system for more and more complex foods

According to The Master cleanse book you don't eat during it and you are suppose to lose weight.

Could you be confusing it with something else?

The diet consists of drinking as much as water as needed (filtered), at least 60 ounces of lemonade (with 1/10 tsp of cayenne pepper) and a laxative herbal tea to clean out your body.

    Did you miss this bit?

I'm still stuck on why a person would discontinue breast-feeding a two month old baby when there are so many benefits for both mom and infant. Add to that the fact that breast-feeding mothers return to their pre-pregnancy weight much faster.

Thank you i was thinking the same thing. Breastfeeding is awesome for Mom and Baby anyway.
Sorry just read the thing about the meds now it makes scents.

Look, this man did not author the book. There are two books out. The original and then an updated version. Neither were by this man.

The recipe is close but you have two errors in it. One ingredient is listed wrong and you're also leaving out an ingredient. I am not going to tell you what they are. You figure it out. This man here who put this online is wrong. You are wrong for believing it. Get it together and THEN come back.
According to the Master Cleanse Book you don't eat during it and you are suppose to lose weight.

This is bologna. The MC book does not say, "you are suppose to lose weight". It says, if you have weight to lose, you will lose it. If you have weight to gain, you will gain. Some people gain on the Master Cleanse although no food is consumed. Would you care to find that quote for me that you just "claimed". I can find the quote from the book if you'd like. I have it.

((Hmm)) I patiently wait and tap foot as Newme1313 tries desperately to find original recipe and correct error. . . maybe I should go to the gym and when I get back she might have the recipe correct and be armed for a debate. LMAO!

Of course you're not going to tell us what the real diet is. Then you'd have no choice but to admit you were doing the exact same thing. That'd be silly, wouldn't it?

Still, I would be interested in knowing your magic lemonade secret cleanse, unless of course you don't actually know what it is.

If you're getting really picky it was first devised by Stanley Burroughs... will dig out the recipe from my bookshelf...

I have got it together hon, thanks for your concern :flowerforyou: - The master cleanse is about drinking nothing but his special lemonade for 10 days and taking laxatives to rid your body of imaginary parasites.

    Sounds like fun

    http://calorielab.com/news/2008/07/17/master-cleanse-in-detail/

Identical recipe as stated by others.

How to Do the Master Cleanse

In a nutshell, the Master Cleanse is this:

The diet takes at least 10 days (up to 40 days, the period of time that Jesus fasted after his baptism, as Burroughs points out)

The only nourishment that you take is a special lemonade concoction made from the Master Cleanse ingredients: lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, and water, six to twelve glasses per day, each glass containing about 110 calories in sugar carbohydrates

An herbal laxative tea is drunk at night and a quart of salt water is drunk first thing in the morning, resulting in several liquid bowel movements every day — you need to always be near a toilet when you do this diet, and you need to stock up on toilet paper

You come off the diet by transitioning to solid food over a few days, ideally becoming a raw food vegetarian in Stanley Burroughs’ version of the diet

Feel free to share your special recipe sweetheart :flowerforyou:

In the name of research I checked Burrough's book and the only slight tweaks I can see is the use of "genuine" maple syrup rather than "rich" maple syrup (nitpicking) and to use molasses instead if you have diabetes (and I can think of nothing worse for a diabetic than depriving them of food).

[I have a copy as I was offered the chance to do it and write about it for a daily newspaper. I did my research, spoke to a doctor and dietician - not nutritionist or holistic therapist, please note - and decided it was pointless and not something I could promote with a clear conscience]

    Wrong!

Again, you still have an ingredient incorrect and you are forgetting an ingredient. Find it, get it correct or hush!

Second of all, you had this wrong also. . .

Yes you have it correct. It is NOT maple syrup, it is GRADE B maple syrup. Those are different products. It is far from nitpicky. It is very important.

The item she left out is the sea salt.

And a diabetic should add protein as well.

I am a holistic practitioner by trade.

You have fun being wrong all on your own, Since you won't tell anyone how you're right - we will have to just "believe" you I guess. Or I could just believe SRH7 who has the book.

    Enjoy your lemonade. :drinker:

So you'll just sit here and trumpet a weight loss approach that you won't say what it is??? And then go "nah nah a boo boo, you guessed wrong!" when other people ask?

That's so brilliant! Why didn't I think of that? Can I make fun of you for something that I won't tell you either? Because that's GOTTA burn calories!

I read the claims and was a skeptic for years. Only trying it changed my mind. There is no way I could feel this way and there not be something to it. I only advocate it, bc I want to help. I truly believe in this.
