Sorry about taking up the entire page!

Girls, my physical therapist suggested I weigh in on another day other than Friday, because he works with me on Thursday and he practically kills my legs. I swear they turn into jello and I can barely walk to my car afterwards! Anyhoo, when I weigh in after that huge workout I never lose! I am going to weigh in on Tuesdays (like I did this week) and I'll report that weight loss on our Friday weight loss day. Is that OK with everybody? I hope it is!

I know it sounds stupid, because, well, if I weighed in on Friday and didn't lose, then the next Friday it would show it, right? It makes me too anxious to do that! :grumble:

    check in:

    cals: great
    water: 90
exercise: the full monty plus the darn squats my PT is making me do :grumble: I HATE them!
proud: I balanced on one leg for thirty seconds! When I started my PT exercises, I could barely do 3 seconds!!!

Yeah bluenote!! :drinker:  :drinker: Go get 'em girl! Also, I weigh in on Mondays and record that loss here on Fridays. I have one scale I'm using on Mondays and my scale at home is not aligned with that, and that's the one I'm going by. So, if you weigh in on Tuesdays and report on Fridays, know I'm pretty much doing the same thing!

    Checking for the day:
Cals: 1288, with 214 exercise leftover
    Water: 80 oz and counting
Exercise: Morning walk of 2 miles and evening walk of 1 mile
Proud: Went out to dinner with friends tonight. No beer for me. I got a bison burger (a little dry, but good overall) and steamed veggies instead of a much more unhealthy option. Dinner ended up being around 500 (a best guess since the restaurant doesn't post calories). Not too shabby.

Jessyka, I was on a roller coaster ride here. I was so worried about your grandfather, mad at the nurse and wanted to slap her then the great news. Now I am thrilled for you!!! I am still a bit mad at the nurse though. You do not need that when you are in a crisis. Not very understanding. I brought my newborn 4 weeks old to church camp once and some lady got onto me (a little bit) When I say church camp it is a dorm room with electricity and central heat and air. I simply figured she could choose not to bring her baby and butt out about what I do with mine. Besides so far they have all survived and one of them is even a great bracelet maker.   . Besides the fact the only people at camp were my family!!!

I will let Sara know that everyone appreciated her jewelery.

To be honest it never even occurred to me that the diabetes could go away. Thanks for sharing your story about bringing your newborn to church camp. Made me feel a lot better, with dealing with every thing that my grandfather was going through, then having the nurse lecture me..doesn't make you feel like a terrific mom. Glad to know that I'm not a bad mother for having my child in a less than desirable atmosphere. Besides a bit of congestion and goopy eyes [grandparents smoke way to much and it's irritated her a bit] she's no worse for wear. And I try not to make it a habit of leaning my baby into contact areas with people who could spread germs

Mstahl-Children certainly are more resilient than we sometimes give them credit for. I do, to a point, believe in raising your children how you see fit, and so long as you aren't doing anything to harm or neglect them, others should respect your parenting..not criticize it. Kudos to your grandmother! I can't imagine what it would be like to have and raise 7 children [though my crazy self really, really wants 5:ohwell:  ]

I'm going to go to bed happy for the first time in a while, my grandpa is superman who can rid diabetes and high blood pressure in a single bound:laugh:

Bluenote-5.5 freaking pounds!! You kicked major butt this week!! I am SOO proud of you!:flowerforyou:

    Thanks girls...I know that i don't know i why i keep forgetting.

I tried on some clothes last night...I have a skirt that used to be tight and if fits !!! But bad news, it is a print and i have nothing to go with it

I am going to see if i can find something cute for real cheap and i might get something new.

I did try on the two dresses i had for my sisters wedding (size 26) and they were freaking tents, there is no way i could wear them and look 1/2 way decent, no i pulled one in the back and it was soo cute but don't have time to get it altered.

I put on size 24 shorts today and i am wearing them out !! They do have some strechy in them, but they aren't knit like the shorts i usally wear !!!! I hadn't worn these shorts in at least like 2-3 years. I actually dumped a shirt in the goodwill box today :) it was a size 26 top and it was hanging off !!! Seems my problem is most of my shirts fit width wise but not length wise..uggggg not sure if they just shrank up over the years , ihadn't bought new causal shirts in quite a while.

LilDebbie - a friend gave me a bunch of hand-me-downs (most don't fit YET) and there was a cute print skirt in the bunch - I went to WallMart and picked up a matching top on the clearance rack for $3!!!
*Don't forget that there's sodium in diet sodas so you may be holding even more water due to that!*

Here's the picture I took in KY two weeks ago (wow how time flys!)

Littlespy: Way to go!! Under 200!!

mstahl: You're so cute and I love the skirt!!

jesyka: I'm so, so glad to hear your grandfather is Superman and doesn't have diabetes anymore. That's amazing! Yay!

Last night karaoke was so much fun. The place was packed and there were a ton of singers, so I only got to do three songs but I saw some friends I hadn't seen in forever. I had a sensible dinner and all of the calories I went over (500) were beer, which causes me to be slightly dehydrated, meaning I saw 191.0 on the scale this morning. Now, if only that would stay that way once I get hydrated again today. Oh, and that we "unofficial" (meaning pre-poo).

So one of the friends I saw last night is getting married in September. She sent me the "Save the Date" Christmas card in December and called me a few weeks ago when she got her wedding dress. But guess what? I'm not invited to the wedding, according to another friend who helped due the invite labels. Why am I not invited? Because it would bother her brother, whom I dated for a few years back in 2001-2003. He's been married since 2005. Why can't people get over petty stuff? Ugh. I thought that was lovely, especially since she would never tell me.

Would it be wrong of me to tell her not to talk to me about the wedding? I'm just a bit hurt right now because I think it's terribly rude.

Other than that tidbit, last night was an absolute blast and now today I'm off to the mall with a gal pal.

Happy Mother's Day to you moms out there!

So I'm having a hard time getting posts to load. I got through 2 pages. Were on our way to the airport to pick up my cousin. Her flight ot canceled from Denver last night due to the toilets on her plane not flushing. She's gonna get here just in time! Yesterday was super busy! I got some cheese curds fiinally! Doing good with my eating but not so well on water! Think I'm ok weight wise. We will see when I get back on Tuesday! I'm having some much fun with my family! My Grandma kept telling me how proud she was with my weight loss and how great I look. Almost brought tears to my eyes. Never heard her say she was proud of me. And I bought a size large in a hoodie yesterday, and it's baggy! I could of got a medium. Wow! I can't remember the last time I was in a mens medium!! The weather is yucky and rainy! I'm gonna freeze in my dress!!

Congrats to all the losers!! I think I saw litlespy in onderlans and Cris on her tail!! I miss getting to chat with everyone! Hope everyone is well! Looked like a good week weigh in wise! Will try and check in later!

That is really rude! I would b upset, too, and I don't think it's wrong to ask her not to talk to you about it if it upsets you.

I had something similar happen to me many years ago when one of my closest guy friends married his on-again-off-again girlfriend of like 10 years.
People are ridiculous. Especially when it comes to weddings.

LilSpy-Yay for entering Onederland!! I'm SO excited for you!!

Hajohnson- I wouldn't find it rude to ask that of her. I would however find it rude that she didn't feel it important to let you know that you were no longer invited, especially after having sent the save the date card. Your ex certainly sounds petty. I would maybe understand if the break up was recent, or if he was still single, but not for something that was almost a decade ago and he's now married. Glad you had a great time last night [quite envious over the karaoke  ]

LittleSpy - CONGRATULATIONS!!! WHOOT WHOOT!!! 70 pounds lost - holy cow! You are doing fabulous!

Heather - I bet it's the brother's wife, not the brother, who has the issue. I have a friend who is ridiculous about her husband's ex GFs. I'm trying to explain to her that he has GREAT TASTE in women so all his ex's are fun to be around and that since he picked HER to marry she has won - no worries but uhg... doesn't matter to her.

It's chilly here in Ohio today, so we're going to make a fire in the fire place and enjoy some quiet time. I have work to catch up on and some photography stuff too... I'm making a frittata with left overs from Cinco de Mayo - onions and grilled peppers from the fajitas, avocado slices, Mexican cheese and a few jalapeno peppers - YUM!

I am so freaking proud of you!!!!

cris - not too long before we HOOOOT for you, too! :flowerforyou:
lildeb - I am glad you are not freaking about the water retention. I do the same thing - I panic, come on here, and then the girls talk me off the ledge with info I already know but in a panic mode I forget it! That's what MFP friends are for!
mstahl - You are so beautiful! (and your camera's not too bad, either  ) But then again, we all knew that before we saw you, didn't we? :flowerforyou:
heather - ugh. That sucks. I am a *cough* tad bit *cough* sarcastic, so I'd probably send back the save the date card with: RETURN TO SENDER - NOT INVITED ANYMORE. Or... the next time she talked about it to me, I'd say, "Oh yeah, by the way, I got the save the date card, and I saved the date, but I haven't got my invitation yet. I'm at the same address I was at when you mailed the save the date card." That should shut her up. Again, I'm sort of sarcastic.
jess - I miss your stalking posts! I hope you are having fun!

Sorry if I missed you - in a bit of a hurry - have rehearsal in one hour. Have a fun Saturday! Do something nice for yourself today!

ladies ...i have done it...I have what i think is one more step towards doing this ..I JOINED A GYM today!!!! Me and hubby both did. We agreed that we maybe i just need to join (as i have much more i need to loose and i can work out at lunch and stuff), so we went up there....we both really liked it (it is brand new gym, just opned in december). They were running a special and was cheaper than i was looking online, so we signed up...we are both excited.

Now if i can get my sickness to be done with so i can use the heck out of it  i had a horrible soar throat come back this morning it is killing me to swallow anything and this freaking cold sore/infection what ever it is on my lip...>We are excited...of course the guy wanted to sell us the 3 pt sessions, which i kinda would like but can't afford that on top of the money we just spent.

Off to anniv. dinner with hubby..hope i can enjoy it with feeling soo cruddy.

LilDebbie - Congrats on joining the gym! I think you'll love it! I love our gym and I'm all bummed that it's closing for ten days to get refurbished!

    Checking in:
Calories - over by 300 - I had to estimate how much ice cream I ate... but I'm guessing it was 1 cup.
    Water - under
Exercise - none (but I DRESSED for it)

Proud - I've been so hungry all day and I didn't cave until tonight when I had ice cream for dinner. It could have been so much worse! I ate an entire container of strawberries for lunch :)

lildeb - congrats on joining the gym! Way to go! Happy Anniversary!!! :flowerforyou:

    check in:
    cals: OK
water: not as great as usual - 64 oz.
exercise: 40 mins bike, arms, PT exercises
proud: I had rehearsal for my brother's show at his high school. I always do sound for him, and he does sound for my shows. Well, the climb up the death-trap ladder to his sound booth is frightening. I dread it every time. It is too steep, and the steps are far apart, so I can only use my one good knee to climb it. It takes me forever. Well, tonight, for the first time, I used BOTH knees and climbed the ladder with both legs!!! I am so proud of myself!!! When I got to the top, the tech crew applauded for me! :blushing:

Heather: I would think it is rude that your friend is talking about the wedding but doesn't tell you you're not invited..not a friend..I like bluenotes idea about confronting her about the invitations

Bluenote: almost 6 pounds!! YOU go girl!!! WOOT - WOOT going up those steep stairs..with both knees...YOU ROCK SISTA!!:smokin: :noway:

Jesyka: I am so happy your grandpop is doing good...and ingnor the situation in the hospital...you know you're an amazing mom, so you know what's best for your children...rude people needs to keep their opinions to themselves!!!

litdeb: don't stress abou the small gain on the scale - what matters is how you feel! and by the sound of things your doing GREAT!!! Keep it up!

jess: we miss you...and can't wait for your safe return

    Quick Check in:
Calories: over by 400 with exercise calories...ugh..my family wanted Pat's king of steaks ( if you google it you know why i am over)..and i had french fries ( 1/2 cheese streak whith onions and 3/4 of the fries) YUM!!!
Exercise: walked a lot..plus did 30 minute more on the treadmill
Water: not much...could be better :(

Proud: went to my family's favorite place for gressy cheese steak sandwiches and only ate half...it didn't taste as good as i remember it..I didn't waste my calories on soda..got water and some fries...stopped eating when i was ABOUT full...before i would stop when i feel i can't shovel more food in my mouth...( puke point)...yea that bad

Sodium: i know it was bad!!!
    fiber: not really :(

    Can't sleep..well it's like almost 6 am.

I remember something that my mommy told me today ( she hasn't seen me in a month or so) ..."wow, you are getting really - really small." You are becoming a stick..she told my hubby " what you stopped feeding her - she's melthing away" I said yea right! But i did I have the biggest grin on my face..and a tear in my eyes because this whole journey is doable... and it motivated me to reach ( yes i am so close) onderland (hopefully within a couple weeks)...

Good nite or should i say hello morning...pretty soon i have to send my older kids to religion/weekend school :0

    Hello ladies -

Happy mothers day to those Mommy's !!!!

had a good time at dinner last night sodium wayyyy over and calories too !!!

Got on the scale this morning like 3+ up from friday...i know the food i ate last night was super high in sodium.

I think we are going to the gym this morning, i still feel like crud but a tad better i am going to attempt, i know i am not going to do anything super extensive or calorie burn. I think i may do some just walking and maybe the circuit machines..
