    Hello gals...

Its official..280's are a think of the past for me.

Now i did have an argument with my scale this morning...i got up at 5:30 (with abby) and got on it was 279.1, then about 6 it was 278.4 (several times in a row) , then about 6:15 it was 278.8 (several times in a row), so i am just taking 2791. it was the 1st and right in the middle...

    Thanks...said....

That is 4 lbs for me this week.. This is a big milestone for me...1) getting out of 280's that i seemed to be stuck in 2) hitting 30 # lost and 3) since I started in october I have loss 10 % of me

So that is a big 1.4 % loss for me...I still need to do my measurements hope they are as good

So i have done my measurements and was pretty happy

Since the last time i did measurements (4/16) - i have lost 3 inches - 1 beginning from my waist

So i went back and to see how many inches i had lost since i started.. Total inches from everywhere was like 20" ...5 " of those are from my waist and 5.5 from my hips...Not very much of my arms and legs but that will come i need this middle part to thin out and i think those will follow.

good morning ladies.. I am up 1.5lbs from yesterday but, ate a lil too much sodium but I am still down 1/2 a lb. So, I am going with what the scale said today. On a good note I am down another 3.25 inches as well :) I know I should probably be putting more effort into this but, right now time has managed to slip through my fingers. I am hoping that things will slow down a little. However, with graduation, school ending, mothers day, and summer starting with block parties, camping, gardening and well life I may be not much more than a lurker for a bit. Please be patient with me as I am trying to do my best to keep caught up with you ladies and keep the weight slowly coming off.

My exercise lately has been nothing more than working in the yard but, it is working so, no complaints here. Once we get the pond done I will post a pic. So, far it is coming along very nicely but boy you can say "MANUAL LABOR"

Well.. I need to get going busy day ahead of me!

Keep up the great work ladies!!!

I haven't logged my food from last night so my check in is an estimate-

    Calories- over by about 300
    Exercise - 5K101 week 7 (three 12 minute jogs)
    Water - about 8 cups

Proud - While fajitas look horrid, mine were really pretty healthy! I just tossed the peppers and onions with a little olive oil and then cooked them in hot cast iron skillets (in batches so they were all nicely seared). I used shrimp which I just tossed with some Mexican seasoning (not sure what it was as my Spanish is bad, but the picture looked like fajitas so I assumed it would taste good!) - and I used low calorie, whole wheat tortillas. The only condiment was guacamole which I made from fresh avocados and chopped green peppers (and crushed garlic) so while it's high fat, at least it was a good fat!

Weigh in! Drum roll please... FINALLY a LOSS! Not a big one but I'll take it!

I'm up about a half pound from my 197.4 on Monday, but that's OK. I'm still down 3 lbs from last week!!

I feel like I'm starting to fall "off the wagon" this week in terms of exercise. I haven't been to the gym all week, but I did walk about 5 miles on Wednesday an another 2 miles this morning. I'm hoping to walk another 2 miles after work when I head back uptown towards home. I also really want to hit it hard this weekend at the gym so I can lose that .5 I gained back this week and then some. I've had lots of meals off plan - not bad for you meals - but meals where I've probably ate more than I needed to and splurged when I hadn't done any exercise to warrant a splurge. I'm not going to focus on the negative and what I didn't do right. I'm going to focus on what I can do right this upcoming weekend.

WOW!!!!! What a bunch of losers you are:glasses:  I love it!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the congrats everyone. I was so proud of Haley last night. Although Haley is on the honor roll and has been the entire school year her award was actually a "Teachers Choice Award" . Her Science teacher gave her that one. She did play SSB but it was with a couple of other kids. Her music teacher took his best from each instrument and they sounded wonderful. I still remember when my kids first started in music and their concerts were toot toot toot and you could kinda hear a song in there. Now they are starting to sound so "professional" Next week is my oldest daughters concert and that is always amazing the high school kids just are amazing. Any how, thanks again and I will tell Haley, you all sent congrats her way.

    littlespy::noway: :noway: :noway:

Mari~ you will do it!!! I have faith in you!!! 220's here you come!!!

Cris~I love how you always look for the good in things. I am glad the little man has a better daycare. He is so cute!!! You are such an asset to this group. I love your posts! Thanks for always telling me I am a good mom. It is nice to hear, it makes my day:flowerforyou:

elmox~This is a new day and I know you can get back to your exercise plan. I feel a bit off the exercise wagon myself. I have exercised but there was a certain plan I wanted to start and did not.

Cogirl~ it is sure nice to see you!!!! You have been so busy and we miss not seeing you everyday!!!!!!!!

Jess~ I hope you are there now!!!!!!! Last time I checked in you had a few more hours to go!!!!!!!

Even though I missed a few of you, I still    Ya so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful day. I think you girls are the best girls on this site. You are my motivators, cheerleaders, and my weight loss sisters. :flowerforyou:  :flowerforyou:

My weigh in 219 this morning so thats -2 pounds from last week
So I am officially in the teens and Onderland here I come!!!!WOOOOOOOHOOOOO!! Dare I add that TOM is right around the corner any day now it will show up and I am showing a loss before my period.I normally would see a 5 pound gain.So if I am holding onto and water right now which I believe I am (i feel a bit bloated)I am going to drink tons of water today and hopefully when TOM comes and goes I will be at least 216.I am almost back to were I left off when I started gaining again.

I am trying to think of something for dinner tonight that is easy and does not take too long. I am going to be gone most of the day. Does anyone know if I could like pre-cook my brown rice but not fully cooked. Put it in a casserole with some chicken put it in the fridge until I get home then finish cooking it this evening. HELP i need to know and I am leaving in an hour so I need to get started.

Hello ladies! No Onederland for me today but I feel it right around the corner. I'm at 201.2 this morning. TMI ahead -- If I could just poop I'd so be there! :noway:  I mean, it's been a few days... :blushing: Also, TOM is waning but still here as well.

Anyway I'm actually very happy with 201.2 because that's a loss 1.2 pounds this week. And, according to my calorie deficits this week, I think that's about what it should be. I think my metabolism may be back because that's 2 weeks in a row I've had a loss that made sense with the deficit I created! YIPPEEEE!

Posme -- looks like you crashed through your plateau, eh!?
LilDebbie -- Welcome back!! All your smart & healthy choices sure did pay off this week!

Look at all that weight loss this week girls !!! We all did awesome....just more to come.

Those you are that close to onderland i think next week you will be there.

Ann - Great job !!! you will be there soon too!!!

Tomorrow night we are going to go celebrate our 10th anniversary , we are going to a nice restruant (requires reservations and all), i might actually dress up....(meaning no stretchy shorts and t-shirts that usally makes up my attire). NOt sure what i will wear, i had some cute dresses i bought for sisters wedding but that was 30lbs ago..and they were a tag big then an a size 26. I am sure i will find something i think i have some skirts that i bought for a trip and was a little snug but wearable , i hadn't tried it on in months may see how that fits.

I did try on all my 24 shorts the other day ( like button/zip not knit), and i buttoned all of them and zipped, i could sit down in them too, i think i need a few more lbs before i can wear them comfortably thought.

Why i was in my closet i saw a pair of 22 shorts (still with tags on), i said WTH let me try , figuring i couldn't get them past my legs...well they went up past my legs...I couldn't button them  but i at least got them up...some day soon...would be awesome to be able to wear those this summer...not sure how much i would need to loose to wear them though. Thinking at least 25 more ..ugg...i will get here.

LilDebbie - You WILL get there! A size 22 is very much doable this summer!

I'm so excited with all of our losses! We can do this! Sure there will be bad meals or bad days - but we know HOW and we know WHY and we've all proven that it can be done!:flowerforyou:

Its a cool breezy day today and a co-worker and I walked to our favorite lunch spot. It was nice to see how many people were out walking today!:drinker:

I didn't go to the rec center this morning so I'm planning on either going tonight or using the elliptical machine when I get home tonight. I don't use the elliptical as much now that I'm doing the 5K101 and biking so when I do use it it seems like my calorie burn is higher! Yeah for being ineffective at something

Okay, I posted the weight above because it always seems like we miss someone from multiple posts at one time, so I was being quick.

That being said, I saw a 191.4, which I haven't seen since my plateau started at the end of March. I really want to see the 180s next week. I really need to buckle down on the eating, which may be a bit difficult today since I didn't plan ahead enough to bring a lunch and I'm going out with friends tonight (dinner followed by beer and karaoke).

YAY FOR BEER AND KARAOKE!!!! Ok so the beer isnt so healthy but I really really wish I was you tonight Heather, lol!

I was gonna have some mommy time this weekend, my son was going to go to Grandma's and I was going to take a day off and ejoy some beer and me time but now my mom is sick and cant watch the lil man. Im not too bummed because hes healthy for the first time in forever **knock on wood** and hes not being as difficult to deal with. But still it would have been nice to have the break after all these sicknesses its exhausting taking care of a sick child, let alone when you arent feeling your best...ok vent over

I need feedback from my favorite MFP friends! (you guys of course!)

Ok, so the final weigh in for my BL competition is on May 18th. Im thinking that in order to win I need to lose 4lbs by then. I'd like to lose more, but trying to be realistic. I'm trying to figure out the best way to get my body to drop those 4lbs between May 10-18

Here is what I have so far (please feel free to add suggestions):

1.Make 100% sure to get 100oz of water a day

    2. (here is where I need suggestions)- I am planning on staying at 1200 cals everyday between the 10th and 18th not sure if thats a good idea or not...dont want my body to hold on to the fat

    3. I am having a SHOCK MY METABOLISM MEAL on Sunday - Hey its mothers day too!

    4 WORKOUT PLAN
    May 10- Run c25k w7d2 (25 min run)
May 11- Bodypump with a 20 min bike ride
    May 12- Run c25k w7d3 (25 min run)
May 13- Spin class plus 10 min run
May 14- 20 min bike ride and 5 min run (increase speed of run)
May 15- 10 min run and 20 min bike ride
May 16- OFF (sunday- plus I'll be in pain by then)
    May 17- Run c25k w8d1 (28 min run)
    May 18- ******WEIGH IN******

Anything I should add? I want to focus mainly on cardio as that helps me drop the lbs the fastest...add more stuff to it? less? eat more? less? I APPRECIATE THE TIPS~!

Thanks girls for the encouragement, i hadn't worn a 22 since who knows when i was alll most there in feb of 07. I had actually bought several pairs of pans cause i was almost there that have been sitting with tags on in my closet..

Chris - Sorry about the cancelling of mommy time...I love when my mom gets the girls, little breathing time , my mom and my girls enjogy it soo much i think they like it more than me...My mom takes them 1 weekend a month (after 2 years when we moved away of never a day away it is a releif).

YOur plan sounds doable ..you can do it.!!! If you are doing all that cardio you want to make sure be eating enough so to not go into starvation mode either...that is the only thing i would possibly say.

I need to do something tomorrow to burn some cals my dinner tomorrow is going to be way way over and I know that, but that is okay cause i am not going to eat bad all weekend. I am going to enjoy my special anniversary dinner and get back on track....BECAUSE I AM NOT GOING BACK INTO THE 280'S I AM NOT I AM NOT I AM NOT.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cris, I'm not sure if any of us can say how your body is going to respond to... well, to anything. But I will say that it's my opinion that with all that exercise, you should definitely *not* eat less.

    I checked my measurements today.

    Chest: -2" since 03.24.10 (-6" since 10.17.09)
    Waist: -1" since 04.08.10 (-10" since 10.02.09)
    Hips: -0.5" since 04.08.10 (-9" since 10.02.09)
    Right Thigh: -1" since 02.19.10 (-4.5" since 10.25.09)
    Left Thigh: -1" since 02.19.10 (-4.5" since 10.25.09)

So, that should be all what I lost since Cris's challenge. If I measure & they don't change, then I don't record anything, so that's why some of those dates are in Feb because they hadn't changed at the time of the last challenge. I think those inches lost are pretty freakin' awesome considering I've only lost about 8 pounds since then! I know building muscle is super hard to do on a calorie deficit but there has to be some of that going on here because I think that's quite a few inches to lose in only 8 pounds when you weigh over 200. Maybe my eating more & my slowed metabolism has allowed my body to build a little muscle. Don't know how it's possible, but whatever. Inches matter a lot more to me than pounds.

I've also lost 1.5" from my NECK since 10.25.09. I think that's kind of gross.

I also measured my upper arms & calves for the first time today because those are 2 things I REALLY want to get smaller.

Chris - I'm so ashamed of this idea that I was going send it to you in a PM... the night before weigh in you might want to drink a bottle of Magnesium Citrate (over the counter and cheap) to uhm... move things along in your bowel. It is a pretty safe way to make sure you aren't full of "what not". I had to drink 8 bottles in the 18 hours preceding surgery so one bottle is pretty moderate! Also try not to eat a lot the day of your weigh in - water is fine up to an hour or two before hand because your kidney's will take care of it - but foods (especially fiber) will hold heavy water like a sponge in your intestines and just add pounds to your weight.

Plus with all the excitement over "cleansing" diets - one little laxative couldn't hurt

(honest - I don't have an eating disorder - but I do like to win  )
