OK, I'm convinced. Must ditch the straight cardio and pick up heavy stuff!!0
-

Wow! You are all so inspirational!
I'm starting strong lifts 5x5 on Monday so fingers crossed in a few months I'll be able to post here!0 -
I'm so motivated. Hats off to all of you who persevered and lost fat and gained POWER.
ETA: Any thoughts of treadmills and small pink hand weights should be left at the door on your way into this thread.
I'm continually amazed at how people who lift heavy can completely not only slim down but change their shape completely.
I wish I had a bum that went UP and OUT instead of just middle aged spread!0 -
This is what women should aim for. Very sexy good work !1

You look amazing - really inspiring stuff!0

Please remind me again how lifting is going to make me bulky..... (cuz a coworker reminded me of such yesterday).

Thanks so much for this thread! I am starting next week- have a trainer. A competitive female lifter, so I know I am in good hands. Can't wait until I can share my results. Keep them coming ladies!0

Jesus...this thread is still alive?
Imagine that.0 -
Nice work! I think the problem is just a lack of understanding. Women can't get huge like a guy due to lacking a lot of testosterone and their overall muscle structure. To get huge, you'd need some type of drug.0

this! Love lifting, and am getting back to where I was before pretty quickly as far as strength.. im older and wiser than my early 20's and am looking forward to increasing my strength.1
