Worst Thing You've Tasted On Your Fitness Journey ?

Blackstrap molasses (supposed to be a good source of iron). Do not want ever again.
I've used it to sweeten my coffee in the past. Didn't mind it at all.
I bought a protein powder with chicory root in it - ack! Can't stand the taste of chicory!0 -
sucralose! its in most protein powders...ive opted for natural protein powders...MUSCLE MILK GAG! DYMATIZE ELITE DOUBLE GAG! DIET COKE GAG! lmao...0

Okra - barf. Slimy, swampy witches fingers.0

Houmous -
all the ingredients seperately = fine,
together as houmous = evil0 -
FIBRE ONE, Peanut Butter Chocolate Brownie. DISGUSTING!!!
Fibre One gives me and the hubby uncontrollable farts. We used to try to force each other to explain to the Costco sample woman that her product was burning a hole in the ozone.0 -
Whole wheat pasta..uugh, I don't know how people eat that stuff! It's like dry cardboard. I just eat regular pasta noodles and don't have it too often.
I think whole wheat pasta can be really good if you have a strong flavoured sauce on it as you can't taste the pasta at all if you have lots of strong flavours with it. I feel the same about white pasta though, I don't like the taste of that if I don't have a sauce to add to it!
I got whole wheat pasta from this all natural all organic store and it was great...I got some from walmart and it tasted like the box.
Some things I can't stand : oatmeal, the atkins shakes, the protein shake from the health food store. Those things taste like liquid chalk.
Now, things I didn't now I would love....lentils, black beans, and taboule. I actually haven't met a vegetable that I don't like. Now kiwi is gross to me! Yuck! I haven't tried it since I was about 6.0 -
Miracle noodles!! I was so excited at the idea of pasta with no calories but OMG...and I can usually power down anything even if I don't care for it but not these.0

South Beach idea of cheesecake dessert that is ricotta cheese, splenda, and mini chocolate chips. Gag food!0

I stopped at a grocery store after my 6-mile run this morning for a chocolate milk. Got seduced by a chocolate protein shake that had 32g of protein...and, as it turned out when I read the fine print on the way out of the store, only 3g of sugar. It tasted, if you can imagine this, as if Pepto-Bismal were flavored with chocolate instead of peppermint.
The brand: Oh Yeah. Review: Oh. No!
   :noway:0 -
I know a bunch of people have already said this, but DEFINITELY chocolate protein powder mixed into my oatmeal. It went immediately into the garbage.0

Rutabagas: taste like dirt.
Juiced celery: icky slimy0 -
- Plant Fusion protein powder - for a "natural" product, it had a horribly chemical aftertaste.
- Adding protein powder to my coffee/tea - Three words, even after I tried to mix it in: Oily, powdery chunks
- Green beans that are baked and "taste like french fries" - I didn't think it was possible to destroy green beans, but the recipe did it.
On the other hand, here are a few things that were surprisingly good.
- Spirutein powder in Chobani
- Spirutein in cupcakes, muffins, brownies
- Buttermilk powder in my turkey burgers
- Crepe style pancakes made solely from cream cheese, sweetener of my choice and eggs (like mini cheesecakes!)
- Cauliflower omelet pizza crust - Was decent only once I stopped hoping for pizza crust and embraced it for what it was.0 -
I hate flax seed. Hate it, I try and add ground flax to baked goods and every single time I do, I regret it. I keep tying though.
I love kashi, the coconut ice cream and lentils though.
Have you tried Oat Revolution oatmeal with flax? It's actually good and all you can taste is the oatmeal0 -
I accidentally purchased unsweetened coconut milk from Trader Joe's. I thought something was wrong with it the taste was so sour. Turns out that's what it's supposed to taste like when there's no sugar. I immediately dumped it in the sink, I'll gladly take the unhealthier version to give mercy on my poor taste buds.0

Oh man..Kale chips! I don't like leafy greens on a good day and those were god awful.0

Celery... The texture... The flavor... No.0
-
Tofu for sure0

I went to the whole food store and bought vegan protein burger--16 grams of protein. It was disgusting, yet it seemed like it had no flavor at the same time. Very weird. I made myself eat them since it was $7 for 4 patties, but by the last patty I gave up and threw it out. :ohwell:0

I hate kale itself, I cannot even imagine what kale chips would taste like0 -
chlorophyll
I almost threw up it was really gross.
and by the way chlorophyll is a cleansing drink
My husband talks about drinking this as a kid all the time. Apparently, he loved it....never had it myself.0 -
Kashi Go Lean original.. terrible. And those banana egg white 'pancakes' everyone was sharing here... hated those too. I've made some pretty wretched smoothies too.
I think Kashi Go Lean makes you skinny because it breaks your teeth out of your head, therefore making it hard for you to eat! lol!0 -
ALL artificial sweeteners. The devils work. *Shudder*0
-
Lentils, tried them three different ways so far, just don't like em.
Oh girl I love rice and lentils. Its really good!
I LOVE lentils too! So does my four year old, interestingly enough!
I could have lentil soup every day :-)0 -
This stuff. It's not even that the taste is bad, but the aftertaste is terrible. I couldn't do it.
THIS. The problem for me wasn't the taste, but how gross I felt after eating it0 -
Completely agree with you :noway: yuck0
-
Plain Greek Yogurt. WHY?!0

Really?! I LOVE the Kashi Go Lean original ^_^
Me too! I like pretty much everything made by kashi!0 -

The other day I made a smoothie with spinach, cottage cheese, almonds, peanuts, and a bit of soy milk. Really don't know what I was thinking, it was vile. Every mouthful made me gag! But I forced it down and washed it down with water...:sick:0

This.
Except I have regular noodles a few times a week because I don't believe the fear mongering about the "evil" carbs.0
