Since I started working out last March, I never exercised 7 days a week. I beleive it is important to exercise in some way everyday. Some days should be intense and others should be light, but exercising everyday is a must!!

So starting on January 1st 2010, I want to start my new challenge. It may look like a big one, but it is a lifestyle change!!!

If you want to join me, let's get ready!!!

Well, today I was 20 minutes on the bicycle and that is good enough for a light day. I can't wait to start!!!

What exactly is the goal? Some kind of exercise every day? Does it have to be a certain length of time or intensity. I would like to join in, but just wanted to understand what I am shooting for here.

Jenni, the intensity of your daily exercise is what you choose it to be. My challenge is to do some workout every day. One day, I could workout intensivly for 2 hours and the next day take an energetic walk for 30 minutes. The important thing is that one has to do a workout everyday, even on the weekends. Actually, it is the best time to go hiking with your significant other  Wether it is your dog, your friend or your partner in life.

    Are you up to it?

I'm with you too!! A friend is here today and we did our work out together. I did my Ab King Pro, 1000 steps in my stairs and 1h20 of cardio on my different machines. 1/7 for me too!!! I did my stretching afterwards. I hope I'll feel good tomorrow. I had a cheese fondue yesterday and it shows on the scale

Let's go, we can do it!!!!

Wow - this is a pretty intense challenge...it seems like sucha big goal...Alrite - I'll give it a shot. I've always followed the method of thought that you need one or two rest days every week. But I guess with just some light cardio or weight work...it wouldn't hurt.

It is a big goal...but here goes nuthin'
  • Excellent challenge!

I am in too!, today I did 30 minutes of walking with my daughter.

    Good morning gang!!!

I just finished building the 52 7/7 table. Everyday you do your workout, I will put an X under your name. Loathesome and Casi23, I need to know if you did your workout yesterday... Can I put an X under your name on January 1st?

I will post the 7/7 results every Friday to help us in our journey.

Let's go everyone!!! We can do it!!!

I am at 2/7. I was 20 minutes on my cycling machine and I did some Ab King Pro. How are you doing??

Tonight is my last new year's party and tomorrow, I'll go out for a quiet diner with my parents. Daddy needs some help from Hubby with his computer.

Got in a 4 mile run...took me about 40 minutes...will do another 20 minutes of pilates tonight!
  • 2/7
Did more than 1-2 hours running on the treadmill and taking pauses in between. I did some cardio workout from The Biggest Loser lol. Adding all the calories from the runs on the treadmills, I "burned" 1032 calories. I am exhausted right now!!.. It's worth it because today I've eaten like a tons of chocolates.. :P

I was reading this and I was thinking Oh how cool but everyday for the year? I did 305 days out of 365 in 09 and I may have been able to do some more of those days but their were some days when I was very sick and there was no way I could even get out of bed! What about those type of days?

    Good morning everyone!!!

Casey, I will post a chart every week were the amount of days you did your workout will be posted. Those who will have completed their 7/7 will get a point out of 52.

Vhuber, I know that life makes it so no one can workout every day of the year and 305 days out 365 is awesome. It means you only took an average of 5 days of rest every month. Congradulations!!! As I said earlier, the intensity of the exercise is not the important factor. What is required is that we do some kind of physical activity every day it is possible. If someone does not get a workout everyday of the week because of work or sickness, they simply do not get a point for that week. When we go on vacation is the best time to do something, wether it is a walk on the beach or a swim in the sea. The people will get their points when they come back, it is as simple as that.

I have updated the chart and added a new participant... My hubby, Saxoldies. So far, he has showeled snow on the 1st and the 2nd. He will have to do it again today, but it will be a more intense workout since there is more snow. I will go and help him and he will give me a massage in the back, neck and shoulders after. We will both have our 3/3.
