My goal for February is to do a minimum of 15 -20 minutes a day of Wii exercises. I plan to shake things up using my Wii Fit, Wii Tennis, GoldsGym Cardio workout and EA Active work outs. I didn't do as much in January as I wanted and missed some days so it's time to get back on track!0

Good job rachi20024! That rocks. It really is addictive. I have the more workouts "game" and I'm fully addicted. I finished my first 6 week challenge yesterday
How is the more workouts game for EA? What is different/better? I may be interested in purchasing it.0 -
Well it's set on an island! Hee-hee! It is a mix of "island activities" and the usual strength type stuff with the resistance band. Some of the island activities are squash, cardio boxing, paddle surfing, water skiiing, follow the leader, obstacle courses. Things like boxing, paddle surfing, water skiing and step aerobics can be done with or without the wii balance board.
Mixing those fun things in with the strength sets really adds variety. I've been going since 12/14 and I'm not sick of it yet!0 -
So yesterday was a workout day for me on EA active and I have to say I was dissappointed. For the first time since starting EA I didn't even sweat or feel challenged(the workout was only 15 minutes long). Today on my "rest day" I decided to workout and put it in "hard" mode. I am feeling it! Hopefully todays workout makes up for yesterdays lack there of.
Thanks Buzzkitty1 for answering my questions, More workouts is definetly going to be my next purchase for the Wii:drinker: :flowerforyou:0 -
Thanks Jam. I sure hope works gets light for me soon, if not, I'll find myself working out even more not for the health reasons, but to calm and relax myself. That is why I got on my Wii this evening. I got just under 30 mins in, not too much of a sweat at all with the activities I chose, but hey, I still burned calories!
Not mention, this morning, I ran in the wind, and was only 5 seconds off from my Fall time. I'm thinking (no believing) that without the wind, I can do better than the Fall. I will continue to practice.
I'm still thinking of a new game, I think I am Wii Fit + burned out, and I never really got the feeling for My Fitness Coach, the warm up are always the same, and then she even includes them in the workout. (I think I am rambling on now... )
Have a great day all!0 -
Hi all, hope you're meeting all your Wii goals
Thankfully my knee is feeling better. I've held off doing any exercise this week to let my knee rest. I think I'll start back on Monday doing upper body workouts on the EA Active and will throw in some sit ups to help. I will then in 2 weeks try doing the full workouts again on the lowest level.
My aim, eventually, when my knee is better is to be like Buzzkitty and complete a 6 week challenge  WTG by the way.
Enjoy the rest of your week everyone.0 -
Oh my gosh BuzzKitty that sounds so fun! haha I went and got my Wii last night and got the active game. I was thinking about getting that one but since the original one came with all the extras I went with the original...but now I want to go get the other one. And I've only had it for 24 hours! LOL0

Hello everyone and welcome to anyone new to this forum,
I did 40 minutes on the Wii Fit: 10 hula, 10 step, 10 run and 10 Hula and I was sweating at the end. My next purchase will be a DVD and not something for the Wii. I have a trip coming up and I want something I can do in the hotel room. I'll have my laptop with me so I can just put the DVD in. After that I might look into the EA Active. It seems like everyone who has it likes it.
I gained 1 pound when I weighed in today and I'm not sure if I really believe, but I updated it anyway and will see what happens at the next weigh in.

I did it! I went and brought the EA Active More Workouts. I looked over the two, and I was unsure, but then I thought how the Wii Fit Plus was and you got the original workouts and new ones. So I just decided to go along and get the More Workouts and the accessory pack.
I'm looking forward to playing it tonight since I skipped out on going to Zumba this evening. Of course, I will post my activities and opinions later. Until then, everyone have a great morning/day, and happy Thursday!0 -
I am completely happy with my purchase. It was already better than My Fitness Coach, I'm going to send that to my DH to trade in! I got just over 30 mins, and burned 218 calories. Of course, that is 70 more than it counted for me. I'm pretty sure once I get the hang of it, I'll get a better workout, but I started the 6 Week Challenge. Wish me well!0

Yay TeeTee1281! I'm so glad you bought it. I feel like the poster child for the game, always blabbing about how great it is. I'm on my second 6 week challenge, and it's just as fun and challenging as ever. It does take a while to get the leg strap and nunchuk just right, but you will. Enjoy.0

Thanks, BuzzKitty. I'm not missing out on not purchasing EA Active am I? You are definitely right about getting use to the movements, but I still liked how it was correcting me. It's a lot better than My Fitness Coach.0

[To Judithwelch:
Have you had any success with Gold's Gym Cardio Workout? I'm getting mostly an upper body workout. Also, depending on how long I'm on it, I break out in a sweat.0 -
I managed 50 minutes on the Wii today total: 20 minutes this morning before work and 30 minutes this evening.
Advice needed: I have two torn shoulders so I can't do a lot of upper body stuff real well or for real long. That is probably why the Wii Fit has been working so well for me. But I want to add in something new. My exercise profile says the best thing for me is power walking and lower body work outs. With all that in mind, any suggestions?
Thanks,

Day 2 of EA, it was not a training day for the 6 week challenge, so I tried a custom workout. No that I have some of the moves down pack, I realized I did work up a bigger sweat. I did 25 mins EA and then a few of the strength poses from Wii Fit +.
Happy Friday to all!0 -
I really like the ea active i debated to buying it for soo long. I have already blown my 30 day challenge cause i missed to many days, but I am just oging to through it, then i will try again to do it actually in 30 days.
I usally do wii fit ++ at lunch, but not today, i am just to tired and cold..brrr...
I usally do the boxing but i always get tripped up on the dodge right/dodge left, i get it about 50 % of the time, but usally when i do the same thing?? What is the secret really??
Also those with HRM...do you find sometimes you are burning less than it says but then others you burn more? Is it more your heartrate is up the more you will burn so you should start off with high heart rate type of activties?? Sorry for the stupid question...i just got my hrm trying to figure it all out.0 -
Lildebbie: I have never had my HRM say I burn less than what the game displays, even if I did not push myself. The higher your heartrate the more calories burned, but its not necessary for you to only do the high impact/heartrate activities.0

So I had to take a 3 day hiatus from exercising on the Wii because my calves hurt sooooo bad. I had to get my husband to bring my 8 month old to me because I didn't feel comfortable walking with him:embarassed: . I suppose I pushed myself a little too hard. Anyways lesson learned I won't do that again. I weighed in today and did not lose but I'm not going to sweat it, I know the scale will go down. The most important part is that I feel so energetic and much stronger.
I ended up doing 35 minutes of EA active personal trainer today. I'm noticing that I feel mentally better on the days that I do workout which is nice it is like my "happy pill" :bigsmile:0 -
Hello everyone,
I spent most of the day in town getting tires for my hubby's truck. He doesn't have the patience to sit and wait for hours and really needed tires, so I took care of it. lol We switched roles - he supervised my son and his friends at the movies and I got the tires. My daughter came with me and we walked to a place to have lunch then walked back.
Just in case I don't have the time to post tomorrow I started the new thread for February. Here is the link -

I did my usual 30 minutes free step today as that was all I really had time to.

Yesterday was day 2 for the 6 week challenge. I did find it a little difficult to do the reverse crunches so I skipped it, because it was getting a little upset that it was not registering it and my abs were not that strong to keep doing it.
Overall, I did about 25, then did reverse crunches with out the game. Hopefully that makes up for me skipping out on it.0
