    Just left the stoop at Bag End today and by the end I will be almost at the Great East Road (6 miles). Woo!

    31 miles complete a wet cold day emmawilllose is rarther wet :ohwell: me i am smiling :happy: as i have her umbrella :laugh: tomorrow all being well we can rest as we should reach the south. Camp.

    A very cold crisp morning with a strong wind, at last we see the trees of Woody End we finally camp and:yawn: rest , then me and emmawilllose eat a hearty bowl of steaming oats and blueberrys then head of again still heading East 35 miles done so far, loads more to go :smile:

    So sorry about your grandfather! I think it's wonderful that you read to him and even more so as it was The Hobbit!

    I printed out the Eowyn Challenge that you referenced. While I don't think I will be joining your challenge now as i already have my training schedule for the rest of the year (over 700 miles...not quite there and back again to Rivendell), I am going to see if I can incorporate this into the schedule I do for next year starting Jan. 1st. It's so interesting especially for a geek like me!

    we now at 41 miles with my sore knee and emmawilllose has a clicking hip but we still go on , we will make it to the Brandywine Bridge we will , then we can rest a while :happy:

    At last me an emmawilllose have reached Brandywine Bridge, and had us a nice rest and a bite to eat at the Bridge Inn before Continueing our journey we now done 46.5 miles

    54 miles along now 1 more mile and i can sleeeeeeeeeep got a painfull foot at mo do hope its better tomorrow ,other wise i will have to hop emmawilllose wont let me slack :tongue: we keep on pushing eachother to keep on walking :bigsmile:

    another mile and a well needed rest both emmawilllose and myself are feeling tired today :yawn: . But after a long rest we continue East a couple more miles The Old Forest should be in our sights soon 57 miles now complete :bigsmile:

    a few more miles along, a bitter cold day with strong winds my eyes are watering :cry: as the wind blows strait at me and emmawilllose has very red cold hands but we pushed on and walked 4.5 miles today :happy: ,The Old Forest is now so very close,....... 61.5 miles completed :bigsmile:

    66.5 miles complete now :happy: me and emmawilllose decided to push a little bit more today as we didnt walk yesterday weather was cold and wet :grumble: ,But we packed a hot drink in our thermal mugs and drank it on our way :drinker:

    74.5 miles we walked our little feet of today ,shame we couldnt push that extra half mile out though would have been at the next camp spot
