"Apple" Shaped Women - Before & Afters?

Hey Ladies,
I've always had the curse of the "apple" shape body type, or rather, my weight tends to stick more around my stomach and torso than anywhere else. Never quite understood why we had to name our bodies after fruit, but I digress. I'd really love to see your before & afters if you had a similar body type! I need some inspiration to get going.

I am still very much a work in progress and have lost about 6 pounds these were taken, but this is what a 15-pound loss looked like on my apple shape. I don't look too much like an apple any longer, I would like to think I look more like an hourglass now. I ate slightly above my BMR and took up weight training. That's how I did it
I'm 5'5''8 -
I think its maybe weird because after people lose weight they don't look like an apple? I'm all belly....like ALL belly. My legs are like 2-3 pants sizes smaller than my "waist" aka pudge. I'm broad chested and hold weight in my arms too. GRRRR.1

I gain all in the stomach/boobs/upper arms too. I called it my "Koolaid man" look. LOL
5'7 (before picture weight was 159...size 10 pant size large shirt..... and after pic was 133 (size 6 pant and size small shirt) currently 130 now. Excuse my dirty mirror, haha!

Amazing work!! You look wonderful!0 -
Those of you who have posted pics - you look amazing! Definitely gives me hope - my waist is the one area I really struggle with. I do quite a lot of running but have started mixing it up with some Jillian Michaels DVDs and weight training, hoping that will help to reduce my waist!0

Thanks for the inspiration! I am also cursed with the apple shape. My weight collects around the bust, stomache and linebacker shoulders I'm still trying to lose weight but I can see changes in my body. It's going very slowly.0

Wow, You must be soooo proud of what you have done for yourself. You look beautiful. :flowerforyou:1

I don't have pics but I have lost a total of 12 lbs this year, some of it before I joined MFP, and it feels like most of it has come off around my legs, so I am more of an apple than ever. SO frustrating! I wish I could lose 0 more pounds from my legs, butt and hips, and lose it all from my chest, stomach, and arms. But - not going to happen.1

Great job! I love how you are celebrating you, I am constantly puzzled by photos of people who have met their goal and they look so miserable....... Beautiful inside and out.1

It's been a long journey with lots of trials and errors.. this is November 2010 at around 168-175 lbs.. not sure.
This is me when I finished a Whole30 earlier this month:
And this is me after getting a tattoo a week and a half ago: (excuse the silly drunk face and drunk hair!)
Just started a new lifting program and diet to shred the last of my belly fat to hopefully have abs in the next few months.
Edit: Fixed a spelling mistake and forgot to add that I'm 5'5-5'6 and right now I weigh around 148.9 -

Don't be disheartened, I am also an apple shape. I have now lost 96lbs (sorry no pics). Initially all the weight went from my arms, legs face and neck, not an inch from my tummy. Then, it slowly began to move, and is now going at a better rate. I have stick arms and legs, and a bump, but patience has taught me, it does go. I only have around another 20 pounds to go, and I am hoping it will be tummy fat, as really that's all I have to lose now.3 -

You look great! Your hard work is paying off in the body recomposition area because it looks like you've lost more than 15lbs. I am curious to know what your calorie intake was/is. I've been doing some weight training and want to make sure I'm eating at a good enough deficit to lose but still eating enough to support my training.1 -
I've decided to maintain at 125# (I'm 5'4") even though my belly still leaves much to be desired. I am afraid I'll lose my butt and boobs forever if I go much farther. Hopefully, 6 Week 6 Pack will help, but I honestly don't hold out much hope of ever having a tight belly. I look good though. I think I do.
I started at 155# and that's 6 weeks after 30DS, not 6 weeks of diet/exercise. lol
